This sculpture was made using Clear Casting resin with layers of glass and spheres of slate granules. I would love to hear what you thought of the piece down in the comments.

This is my favorite one. The way you have done the angles I think, is what makes it so beautiful and graceful. I have watched this video about a dozen times, so when I begin the solar system for my daughter's birthday gift, I will have the picture in my head. Along with some actual pictures on my wall. Thank you for sharing your great gift with us.

Thank you so much! Yes I think the angles really make the piece too, and deep resin pours can be an issue, so they solve that practical issue too. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching.

I loved the end result, it looks really great! For this design I think just a single angled plane would've worked a bit better, but it's still stunning. Now I'm thinking about the possibilities, a bigger pour and some kind of spiral galaxy? I don't even know how that would work but I'm intrigued. Really great video.

Who are you and where did you come from?! Your presentation with interspersed commentary is almost like watching a nature documentary - really refreshing against the incessant noise or music of most videos. Your creativity and execution resulting in such unique art is a delight to watch. Resin seems like it can be temperamental, so not sure how you can cope with the stress of the final demoulding after all that precise work! I hope you go far with your art on RU-vid. :)

Thank you, I'm really glad you liked the piece and the video. I should warn you though that I'm experimenting with the format, as being a new channel I'm trying to figure out what will appeal to the widest audience. Yes you are very right, resin is a temperamental material, or at least that's what it feels like, because lots of factors can impact how it behaves. The trick is learning what those factors are and how to control them...........I've had lots of pieces fail over the years to get to that point! Thanks for watching.

@@barnabyhowesculpture You’ve got the process down to a fine art, so can only imagine the hours you’ve put into it, but it shows in the quality of your end pieces. And don’t sweat if your style changes - you’ll find what works as you go along and hit your stride. All the best!

I've already left a couple of commentaries on the stunning artistry of this... artist! If you don't mind I'll just make mine your words as you have done a finer job than I did! I am so taken by the sheer beauty of Barnaby's work I can't wait for new pieces to be shown. Happy and Healthy New You to you and yours!

This was very long and drawn out and I don't mean to sound rude or a dick but it turned out pretty basic in the end nothing special nothing too crazily creative, I've definitely seen cooler pieces. But if you're happy with them and you think they're cool that's all that matters I guess right? Good luck to you

It always interests me seeing/hearing the reaction of different people viewing my work. Some look at it and don't get it, it says nothing to them and they get nothing from it. Others absolutely love it. Being an abstract sculpture and serving no function, the perception of the piece is purely down to the viewer. I think you are right in your statement, that yes it's important that I'm happy with my work, but further to that it's important that other people enjoy it too. I'm under no illusion that everyone will like it, but some do and that's all I can wish for. Thanks for watching. PS: I also agree on the length of this video. The Alien World in a Cube video is my most recent, and I've improved on the editing by being stricter with what I keep in and what I cut. Being new to RU-vid I'm still on quite a steep learning curve.

Maybe it's just me , but for someone who is newer to resin I kind of appreciate the in depth longer videos , because I basically have no idea what I'm doing, so it's very helpful. I find the fast paced ones that dont really explain anything to be very hard to follow and I end up frustrated or wasting money on resin that doesn't look how I want it to.

Какая красивая композиция, сферы внутри куба. Вот это и есть музыка сфер. Выглядит красиво, загадочно и таинственно, как глубокий космос. Спасибо 🙏 вам огромное, за такую красоту. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
