This was an educational video produced by the LA sheriff's department. From episode 309: • The Life Coach | The T... Bonus episodes every week: / thetimdillonshow
I love how the emergency kit doesn't have like pepper spray or anything that could be useful, instead it has paperwork to do during the shooting so the cops can save time when filling their report.
The cops are reluctant to go in during a shooting because they don't want to have to deal with all of that paperwork afterwards. And it's short answer essay format, not multiple choice 😒
Imagine hiding during the shooting and all you hear is a policeman shouting through the door "I'm sorry, I can't help you, you didn't fill your survivor card out correctly..."
The part that got me most was the very first one in the warehouse cuz the whole situation reads like it was a surprise that he got fired like he was in his work clothes and everything and once he heard he's out he pulls out a fuckin knock off Colt 1911 and blows his boss's head open like it's a fuckin .50 cal
Stuff like this freaks girls out. Guys kind of think of these scenarios sometimes just randomely, girls keep stuff like this out of there head completely for the most part. I bet you theres been girls that saw this and never came back again lol. Ive seen first day employees quit and cry over managers yelling lol, i cant imagine what this would do to someone.
I love how the conversation has naturally evolved from "how do we stop this?" to "welcome to your new job. anyway, here's what to do when the next shooting happens."
@@dickbiggerjr3613 no it’s the laugh right after Tim says the word “ smart”. I only remember it from Star Wars from when I was younger 😂😂 I couldn’t believe this was real when I heard it.
@@dickbiggerjr3613 There’s a cultural aspect as well . The specific laugh sound is famous in American film for being cartoonish used out of place. It’s comedic because it’s a cartoonish laugh in what seems to be a real shooter preparation video . The entire video looks like a school project.
@@dickbiggerjr3613 it's supposed to be a nod to other filmmakers and directors as like an easter egg. It's been used in an unbelievable amount of movies. Though this definitely wasn't the right video to add that in lmao
Lmao “don’t wait for the cops they might not even come in!!!” This is a 💯 fact now… lol thank Tim you really are helping with the facts too!!! Love it!!! Lol “you fill out a casualty card….(lol)what’s the problem” I literally have been 💀🤣
"use cover, something that will stop a bullet" as they show them leaving the safety of a bullet proof ATM machine and scrambling behind thin plastic food court seats made in the 80s. We're all gonna die!
Back in the 90s it simply was called going postal cause postal workers were the one shooting up their workplace heavily in the 90s to the point they even made a video game out of it
@@FELTFELT everything was/is made a video game though lol.. Ever play Pico's School? Omfg that game was so popular, no matter where I moved and was going to school, so many kids played..
@@andreasi5125 it was a fun game, but at the same time it was violent AF and the character you play is a school shooter lol.. *Also, if you don't mind me asking, where did you go to school? Like, what state? I was in NC and PA, but moved around a lot between the 2 states.. I'm just curious how far reaching that game was..
Hope these mnemonic tips can help save lives: -while waiting for police, stay in one piece - if your limbs are in doubt, try not to bleed out - employees unstable = lives on the table - hide behind Tim, a .50 cal won't go through him.
I want to see a part two where the people are prepared to square off against the sob with their concealed carries. Obviously wouldn't be filmed in California.
The entire video is just telling people to sit and wait to be shot to shit, it’s okay it should be over in 15 minutes. I’m glad this isn’t a problem where I live I truly am, (plenty of legal and illegal guns here) but if it were, I’d be concealed carrying every day, not giving up my firearms then hiding in a room with some hysterical pussy crying till the shooter finds us.
No kidding, see the Indiana mall shooting for details on how fucking fast that SOB was ended. The only problem after that, is a poorly trained police force that does not have the nerves for shootings, and potentially shooting people defending themselves.
11:20 So, all you would-be shooters out there, wondering where everyone is hiding, simply call out, “Sheriff’s department. Is there anyone inside?” For everyone else, move to almost any other country in the world!
i think they should make machine guns legal. imagine how lethal of a pdw a compact glock 18 machine pistol in the coat pocket with two extra magazines would be. shootings could be ended by a good samaritan in seconds. much better than police. i mean, if this is just how the world is now, why even have gun laws at all? the police aren't even coming, everybody is fending for themselves anyway. let them at least have a fighting chance against the shooter.
I didn't pay much attention when I had to take the reqired 2 minute video test for shooters at my work, but no fear, Tim is here to recap it all and really break down the facts.
@@findlayhobby-bell3415 that’s the thing. Gun control works if you do it early. America now has more guns than people (almost 400 million). What’s the likelihood that government can collect all those guns? 0%. Who will actually comply and give up their guns? Not the bad guys. So, at this point, if you’re looking for safety against gun violence, you need your own gun.
@@findlayhobby-bell3415 not to mention that our founding document specifically names gun ownership as a fundamental right. To implement gun control on the scale necessary would require changing our constitution or our government acting outside their legal authority.
A few years ago I started a new job. We watched this video the morning of my first day. Probably 20 minutes into training/orientation. Nice way to set the tone 😂🤣
I remember having to watch a similar video while working in Argos in Ireland surprising not just an American thing, literally was right after the heavy lifting training video lmao
When I worked at Walmart we had to watch a similar video every three weeks. It followed a fairly overweight guy running from a shooter. He barricades himself in a room and picks up a stapler, seriously? When some drunk tried to Stab me outside of the store at three in the morning they were mad when I started carrying at work.
I remember seeing run, hide, fight posters in highschool and looking back it's kinda crazy that we have to prep 15 year olds to survive being shot at at school.
Run Hide Fight has been around for years; 📹, city of Houston. I don't agree with all the points but people should know how to handle a violent encounter, spree event. Many schools, school districts, business, factory are NOT prepared.
They mention that the cops aren’t there to render aid to victims, they’re supposed to neutralize the shooter. A more honest video would mention that (per the Supreme Court’s recent decision) a cop’s first responsibility is to protect themselves, not the public, & taking out the shooter is secondary to that. What a joy it must be to have this be your introduction to a job you possibly incurred thousands in student debt to obtain. 🙄 💰
I love how so far nothing in the video is like hey shoot them back! That’s a literally the best thing you can do and it’s like implicit that that’s not an option😂😂😂
