That depends on the GVW of the trailer. Chains have to each be capable of holding the GVW of the trailer. Galvanized chain probably won't meet that standard.
Should of made them quick release so no one can hook the chins up and pull your trailer away. The lock you have on the front is junk and can be broke off super easy. I had mine stolen using same lock. Check into proven industries trialer locks.
In 50 some years of hauling our show cars, travel trailers and utility trailers the only issues I have ever had with the safety chains was the weld to the frame. Be it factory or a good local welder they have failed us twice when needed. One of the welders told me it was due to the differences in the metals used for the chains vs the trailer frame. I am sure they have the ability to overcome these issues with newer welding techniques but I still stick to bolts. Old school.
