You obviously love your running and your shoes . It's infectious 🤗 just picked a pair up for £50 , at that price i couldn't resist, already got to many shoes but hey stack up for future seasons 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️
Great video! That is normal about lighstrike, I have the Boston 10 with 500 kilometers and it has the same marks since the beginning without progress over time
Thanks!! Right on. I'm starting to think this version lightstrike with a little pro in there might be one of the best everyday training combo foams out there.
I have one pair is a great shoe takes 20/30 miles to break the lightstrike midsole the wrinkles are normal is not a issue! The SL works best for tempo, mid ling runs and Fartlek runs! Bery stable and grippy!
Nice work! How do you think this shoe would be as a tempo/race option for someone running 2:00-2:10 half marathons and 5/10k during triathlon? Most of my running over the last decade has been in the ghost and ride and am looking for something faster but still comfortable. Thanks!
It's a fantastic shoe for a half , I ve taken it over that distance many times and loved it. It's definitely going to be lighter and have a faster feel than the ghost. Once broken in , I find the foam more comfortable than the ghost as well. It's also probably the only Adidas I would recommend for anything triathlon as it's by far the easiest upper to put on. If you're not to concerned about putting your shoes on as fast as possible in a tri , the Adidas takumi sen is an unbelievable option as well
that is something normal with the lightstrike, don´t worry about those lines...it´s the normal break of the shoes components, i mean ¨break¨ but in the good way....
@@yani.leigh. By the way, good review and I am now following you. These shoes have had so many negative reviews in the UK I had to give them a try despite intending to save them for the summer of 2023. After a week of snow in my part of the UK it was just 5k on a treadmill but my fastest time of the week running indoors. A good entry shoe into the Adios range which has never been positioned as a soft and spongy shoe and I think it is this firmness that puts off my UK counterparts. They did similar negative reviews on the Boston 10 meaning I have been able to buy many paris at close to 50% discount.
I use diary Pegasus 38 but I want reemplace because have about 1000 kms with this. The pace in habitual training is about 4'05"- 4'15"/km. How compares both shoes in terms of ride and softness? I like Boston 11 but I felt too much stiff for all the days and only uses Boston on Monday long training.
Honestly because the SL has lightstrike pro in the forefoot , it is much softer. However the standard lightstrike everywhere else in the shoe, although softer than usual, is a bit stiffer than Nike react. At least until you break it in a bit. I also prefer the SL upper to the pegasus. Little more room in the toebox, feels more breathable and not over built. I would say if you're done with the peg and looking to switch it up a bit, without having a drastic change. The SL is absolutely the play. Softer forefoot, more responsive and better upper. Hope that helps!
@@yani.leigh. you convinced me at speed of light. I like soft midfoot and Nike only offers air with react, a foam with poor energy return and dense comfort. On Boston the plastic roods applies too much stiffness and the ride is harsh. Thanks and great video Yani😀
I think creasing only applies to junk Hoka midsoles. Creasing on any other of my daily trainers, tempo, long run, max cushion or plated race shoes is virtually irrelevant. That does include my Boston 10 as well. Honestly though my hokas look like I have been wearing them for 500 plus miles around 150 actual miles on them.
Hoka midsole lifespan definitely takes a hit quick. I have yet to run in the profly foam, but their prior Eva , especially in the Rincon was wildly short lived.
@yani.leigh. that shoe Rincon....the midsole only lasted +/-300km for me before it caused me shin splints. However, the midsole while it lasts, was awesome. My first and last Hoka ever.
More stack . The toe box is nowhere near as narrow as the adios 7 either. I would say it's definitely more accommodating than the adios. I ve taken both out on some track sessions, tempo and easy runs. Although the adios is just less of a shoe in terms of material, width and foam, the SL feels way more comfortable and natural. To be honest I would choose the SL over the adios every day.
Both unreal choices. I'm a bit weird with fuel cell, I feel like I bottom out when there isn't as much stack. The RC Elite v2 on the other hand, one of the best all around shoes ever.
