Love the gun to head thinking. Thats a great way to put. Ive told people go until you cannot only physically do it, but mentally. Gun to head is how ill say it now.
Heck yeah keep this videos coming. For every 1 person that replies there are 100 that have watched your videos. I'll be using a lot of your training step by step. Just getting back into lifting to the point that my muscles are ready for heavier weight without damage (hopefully) thanks! I'll be ordering an elbow sleeve. Asap.
yes, i like these videos. its fun and motivating to see you training DC, as i have seen you post at intense muscle. i am happy that i discovered DC training.
Love the intensity. Why do so many people now advocate not training to failure , saying it fries you and that you should do more volume leaving one or two reps in the tank?
what advantages do you get from training with a slower negative, I've asked a ton of questions about this on forums, but dudes keep telling me to stop complicating it and just lift
John DOOM Docherty muscle grows best on the negative. A way to easily visualize this is to think of a guy who rows boats in races. They row nonstop yet when you look at them they don't have any size. The reason for that is there is no resistance when going through the negative portion of the row because the paddles come out of the water. Now think of a gymnast. More specifically one that does the rings. They have great control on the negative portion of their movements so they don't fall on their ass. Now think of the muscularity of a gymnast upper body. Thick as a brick right? ***negatives! PS guys on boards don't answer because they are parrots and are just regurgitating information they heard elsewhere but don't actually know what the hell they're talking about. Hope I was able to clear some things up for you.
Dusty Hanshaw awesome that you replied, I have loved following your channel since the video of you cleaning your pool area with the hose with all the holes in it, lefty loosie, righty tighty, learnt that shit from you man. plus you are a true gentleman of the sport, and a real, raw physique. So thank you very much it had been a very nagging subject for me. I used to like training Arnold style, but being drug free it kicked the shit out of me with all the volume. It wasn't until I discovered Dorian Yates that I started to study the less is more method, then of course learning about Dante's DC training. Have you always trained like this? once again Dusty thank you very much, a lot of respect to you kind sir.
It’s just another way to increase time under tension, many very successful bodybuilders don’t do it but some do. Try everything and throw out what don’t work for you, we’re all a bit different in our bodies reaction to stress.
Ive heard it said always ask a guy with a shitty bodypart that came up a bit advice on how to build it as opposed to a guy with a genetically great bodypart, for me that means id ask Dusty advice all day long over Roelly Winklaar or Phil Heath
Fuckin love these "life changing" videos. Do you do the same exact workouts every week other than adding resistance? I've always done very high volume workouts so I'm wanting to give these lower volume workouts a try.
Eric Klotz I will for sure. These are easy to knock out because I just film the training and blast them out with very little editting but I will get some more cooking and DITL stuff as well
V1hyp at this point I am training 5 days per week and unlike a typical DC program the training days/body parts don't move. I train legs twice per week and everything else once
Thanks for the input Dusty and good luck with the training! I'm a big fan of DC training as well and always enjoy finding new ways to approach my training. I also want to add that I enjoy watching all your videos regardless of the content. That blue collar mentality shines through in every workout video you post. Not only is it informative but it always seems to provide a degree of motivation as well! Thanks again..
