What’s happening with AEW right now? It’s like absolute chaos and self destruction backstage. I honestly thought everything was fine backstage. I thought the same for WWE. All the drama and conflict from behind the scenes is insane. I don’t feel very at ease with all of this.

It all feels like a giant miscommunication issue. The EVPs could've asked TK what really happened before the speculations continued to grow, if they’re not responsible for all the rumours spreading. TK has only finally denied the rumours of Colt being pushed out last week. Hangman was just defending Colt because he thought Punk was at fault for not being used.

They don't respect Tony Khan. I can never imagine being in a meeting with my boss at my job and cussing and cursing at my co-workers in front of him. That shows the respect they got for him. It's plain sad.

I’ve heard they said by the rock ‘n’ roll express, Al’s Snow, and several other wrestlers over the years that basically you get these marks that start in the promotions and the experience talent comes in and metaphorically hangs the guy upside down by his ankles like high school bullies and she came upside down and they collect all the money that falls out and they’re just happy to get every bit of the money. Meanwhile the Nobuddy’s on the card that would never ever make it in the wrestling Business are just happy to be there so they’re not gonna complain they’re just happy to be considered a pro wrestler. Are you really going to tell me that is not exactly what happened with a EW accept on a larger scale? The experience guys came in and got way more money than they would get anywhere else and even positions that they would never get anywhere else and at least Tony I think saw that that’s why he didn’t offer Cody the same amount of money to stay because he figured out that he was paying these guys more than they’re worth. And that’s not a knock at Cody I like Cody a lot I think he’s the smartest one of those people that got handed an EVP title, but I’m sure Tony now that he’s been doing this a couple years probably will never admit this but he probably was just excited to be around wrestlers and thought he was doing the right thing and now he looks a bit foolish for it. Meanwhile all these other indie guys that would never even make it to TNA are just happy that their buddies got them a job and they’re going to be on the same channel that WCW nitro was on! Yay! Like I said Jim Cornette is looking like a profit right now. And there are guys in that company that Jim likes he doesn’t do shit on the whole show but people in the wrestling business that really know the wrestling business have said that this time was coming. They actually thought it would happen a couple years from now it’s happening a lot sooner than later. his current three EVP‘s got over in Japan for basically being the leftovers of the bullet club during the time that the wrestling fans were so mad at WWE because they were pushing baby face Roman reigns that they were cheering for anyone in the wrestling world outside of WWE at the time. Those days are over. I’m sure Tony has seen while Kenny was out with injury that CM punk and Danielson have done more for his company than his three EVPs have. Oh by the way is it any wonder that the three guys that keep on calling Dave every minute that Tony or Jericho or CM punk isn’t standing right in front of them are the guys getting the five star matches? Dave Meltzer is a fraud. There’s no reason why AEW couldn’t be a company like WCW. But the main reason why it’s not in the main reason that WWE and WCW were the companies that they were is because nothing was handed to those companies overnight. Both companies started off as a small regional territory that worked their way up for 50 years before they went national. WCW didn’t go national when Turner bought it Turner bought them after they went national. When you have a situation where companies just boomed into existence positions were just handed away and nobody earned anything everything about this company just reeks of nepotism, well this is what you get.

This has been brewing for some time now. It just took CM Punk to sign so you can have someone who can call out the evps for what they are. They just did not have a star of his magnitude who would also have such a big mouth. At the end of the day, the Bucks and Omega may have started this but the company outgrew them, especially the bucks

To all the people saying “I can’t believe punk would do this to Tony” or “you would never see this happen in WWE”, I think you are being worked - at least somewhat. Now I’m not claiming Tony signed off on everything punk said here and I don’t know if all of this is a well thought out work, but I think Tony likes this stuff and may have told his talent “you’re allowed to shoot because it’s good for business”. Maybe he even encourages them to shoot on each other to help with the creation of new storylines and angles. I’m not sure, but I suspect there is some kind of agreement like that that exists. It’s not like they never talk outside of what we see on tv or in these media scrums, so surely it’s been discussed because this isn’t the first time it’s happened. Like o said before I doubt he knew everything punk was gonna say, but I do think it’s possible punk said to him “I got some things to say about the EVP’s and it’s gonna get heated” and maybe Tony said “ok”, maybe he said nothing but just gave him a look like “can’t wait to hear what it is” or something to that effect. We have to remember Tony is a fan and stuff like this probably gets him off as a fan. So, can’t say it’s entirely a work, can’t say it’s entirely a shoot, but in terms of things being “out of control” and Tony not being a leader, I don’t really buy that, I think this IS him being a leader and this is exactly the type of company he wanted to have, a place where crazy stuff like this can happen, because like everyone is saying, “you’d never see this happen in WWE”. Yeah I know, that’s the point. WWE has been boring, stale, and out of touch for about 15 years now. Thank god there is someone new on the block that’s stirring things up and not just being so goddamn conventional or predictable.

And this company started off so promising… Hope they can work past it. Might also be pertinent not to have your EVPs and other talent be friends with the journalists that cover them?

Even Worlds Collide was held at a different timeslot, 3. and they keep saying they beat NXT's ass time-and-time again, yet when they run an event on the same day as them, he flips out?

TK references that he should've said "no comment" when Colt first came up. The scrum video seems to start late, so that moment is one we didn't get to see/hear. At least, that is what I assume, since I can't figure out where else TK would've been able to nip that whole mess in the bud.

Huge Punk fan, he was what got me back into wrestling and got me through a horrible patch in my life,.so thats a disclaimer for what I am about to say. I like Omega, Paige and the Bucks as wrestlers and have been very entertained by them for many years but what I'm hearing about them makes them sound like a less mature (I didn't even think that was possible) Middle School version of the Clique.

Several months ago when MJF "walked out of AEW" I assumed that was all just an elaborate work to eventually set up MJF vs Punk, the most recent stories were making me become a bit of a skeptic but I had a high hopes it was just either a work or miss communication backstage but after Punks comments, fuck don't I look like an optimistic fool

Here's the deal. The Bucks and Omega are a ceiling that is keeping AEW from the mainstream. Their brand of indierific wrestling is catering to their niche and no one else. And then CM Punk comes along, and his brand of wrestling with guys like MJF makes big numbers, big bank and actually makes mainstream people and lapsed fans believe in wrestling again. So if the so-called EVPs and their friends are really so immature and insecure that they are ACTIVELY STANDING IN THE WAY OF AEW'S PROGRESS, then let them protest and leave. Cut the fat and keep the good meat, that's what I say.

If Tony Khan can smooth things over, a potential match with The Elite vs Punk and FTR could be great. The build to it playing off of real issues would make things very interesting. Again, that’s assuming they can smooth things over and everyone involved can be professional enough to pull it off. Tony Khan needs to get this shit straightened out or get someone with a spine to be his number two that can handle these things. Otherwise, things are going to get even uglier and people will jump off the sinking ship.

Whether he's telling the truth or not, you can't let that stuff go public like that in that manner.. We may have seen the beginning of the end of this company on Sunday night. Simply because, the guy steering the ship doesn't have a f****** clue. Say what you will about the other company, once Vince became a problem, he was removed from the day to day aspect of the company... The fact is, Tony can't keep his roster from ripping at his infrastructure of his brand as it is, and this is the most blatant example of that. Hangman has said more than once in interviews that he doesn’t take veterans’ advice. In Mox’s book as well, he was told by Danielson to not ask veterans for advice bc if you don’t listen to them, they’ll have beef with you. This isn’t something that is new. You can listen to what veterans say and decide for yourself that you don’t want to do it that way. I don’t know what Punk’s problem is. He didn’t listen to lots of people in the business either, it’s what made him the voice that he is.
