Glad to hear Lonnie is in on the farm. He's a good hand with experience. My dad always taught me to figure overkill on any equipment you use, don't go weak or just enough and clean, maintain and protect your equipment in barns or sheds. Comfort and ease of equipment usage always turns a job into a comfortable and pleasant experience and not a nightmare. Another great video on the farm and family. God Bless everyone. Stay safe.

When my dad took over my grandpa's farm my grandpa was using an 8N Ford. My dad bought a brand new Ford 4000 and we were putting a thousand hours a year or more on that tractor until we bought the next Ford

Thanks for another great video Kip. It was interesting to. Really enjoyed you showing us the round bailer. Nice piece of equipment. Thanks for going over your tractor inventory with us. Most interesting. Totally agree with the way you manage your tractors and how they are used. You and the family really work together on all that. Great teamwork. Nice you have that wooded area to walk around in. Appreciate you giving us a rundown on how the family runs the farm operation. Good show everyone. Always got to keep the manure hauled out. Busy work always. All for now. You take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything Kip. The Iowa farm boy.

Howdy Kip, Howdy ya'll, That 560M baler is a really good baler, we also picked up a new 560M baler this past spring, and it has made beautiful bales, no complaints here at all, I agree, it is a very good investment indeed, talked to a few neighbors about the John Deere 560M baler, and they agree, great baler, and we do service all out tractors, heads, and equipment in the fall, before we put them away for the winter, so we're not scrambling to fix equipment and tractors in the spring, when we have far less time to get our fields tilled and planted, just makes good sense to us, Stay safe, Stay Calm and Farm on my Friends, Peace

Hey Kip. I think a good investment on you farm is a new milkparlour. You run 100 hours on a tractor but you milk 2200 hours. Think about that. Best off Lucky From a Belgium Farmer....

You're not going to like going from a 1000 pto to 540 pto. You'll plug more often and you don't have the torque. I may be wrong but that's been my experience. By the way, I believe you can convert to 1000 without voiding the warranty. We hope you and your wonderful family have a great Christmas and prosperous New Year. You're absolutely right about the 4430 JD being worth every penny. We rebuilt ours 2 years ago. Our choice was 10 grand for a in frame or $140K for a good used tractor of similar hp. On top of that, I enjoy using the 4430. Just feels like power.

You folks don"t seem to have the break downs a couple of other large farms do. Reason ,I think, family operates your equipment. Some have family and regular employees operating equipment and they don"t care, so they will tear it up. Family makes a big difference.

Do you know deer has an attachment for those balers you carry two bales after you make them when you hit the third Bale you drop all three in one spot that way you have less running around to pick up bales

Why not sell your old baler instead of trading it in? We put about 2000-2500 bales a year on our baler and the boss lady says I’ve got to keep the one we’ve got for at least 2 more years. We’re running a 569.
