In this video I test an Airgun Capital 1/2 inch x 20 airgun silencer and compare it to other models on the market. It gave a good account of itself and is developed for .177, .22 and .25 calibres. Airgun silencers designed for specific calibres do benefit from smaller central holes through the length of the silencer, and can be more efficient, but this will fit up to three different calibre of rifles. It looks very good cosmetically and is well made. At the end of the day, everything is down to choice.

Try and get a steve pegg silencer it is less than half of the quietest of the one's you've tested, they are unbeatable, you think you had no air in your gun it's that good trust me I've had them all and steve pegg best I've had.

He dose a lot of work on rapid 7s , he's famous for it , his specially actually, but his silencers are the best I've tried, puts donny fl in the shade 😎, I think you'd have to on the rapid 7 owners club , and ask there , I bought a rapid 7 many years ago sold the gun but kept the silencer nothing comes close to if you can get one.

Oddly I had the opposite results. The BSA was awful on .22 and .177 but it was by far the best on my .25 FAC Dreamline compact. Better than Huma, Donny fl and Huggett

Thats because the hole was closer to the size of the .25. You could see the same comparisons between the .177 and .22. The closer the hole gets to the pellet used the better. I think BSA used to make a silencer that had an interchangeable baffle that catered for all three calibres. The only downside to that would be if you forgot to put the correct baffle in when going from .177 to .22 or .25.

I had one on my Hatsan Flashpup .25 It shot terrible. Clipped like Hell! Sprayed rounds all over the place. I switched to a Buck-Rail and got 1 ragged hole groups at 35 yards. Your mileage may very.

🤔 Db reduction isn't a true representation of how a silencer works especially on airguns . How a Silencer effects frequency down range is more important. Its what you or the quarry can actually hear . People keep getting hung up with Db figures at the muzzle. A proper test would be a blind test at 10 metres from the firing point by several people to see real world results.
