We used this on our fireplace. I didn't like the patchy look so I did German schmear and it looks great. We since sold that home and back to drawing broad with our next home.

Looks great but be prepared for a little learning curve. It takes some practice but once you get the process you can go faster. But wear gloves, be prepared to saw a lot, and be patient. Its worth the work but it’s work. I did it and I have no experience and it looked great.

ok vlog but for the ppl trying this.level every piece on your first row first then build from your starting point across then upwards.if you do one side then the other blocks wont fit when you get to the middle.the paste on the bback causes blocks to slant just a little so let them sit on eachother as they cure. you can file them down to fit a spot but you will work extra hard to do so.i mixed box colors which looks ok to my eyes.i felt like an artist walkinng away from my work for a day or two to evaluate the flow like a deposit mine look.

Great job! But I thought the rule of thumb is to start in the center and work your way out...? It ends up being more visually appealing that way because your eye is naturally drawn toward whole pieces in the center and cut pieces on the edge. It’s the same way you’re supposed to hang wallpaper.

So you don't have to put nothing on wall like primer or similar , right? I want to do same with quartz stone but my wall is painted so can i just do same like you or have to remove paint first

No, I did not. I had drywall with paint behind it.

BETTER to put up something else up like rock board so when you rip this down you only are patching the screw holes

There's another video online where a guy does a kitchen back splash. That took him 2 boxes. Allow for 10-15% damaged pieces new. Really unacceptable and need new packaging, but anyway.

Well, I don't remember. But you can buy them at most local Lowes. That is where I bought them. I actually got the materials from the manufacture to make this video years ago now.

Honestly I liked it better that way. But my parents think I made a mistake and think I should have taken it away. I thought if it is already done why take it down. I am glad I did because the last piece fit at the top perfectly. Let cutting and I think it looks better.
