The RB-75T is not for training. The T stands for Tung stridsdel which translates to Heavy warhead.

RB-75T has a massive warhead. RB-75A = AGM-65A (TV version) RB-75B = AGM-65B (TV version with more zoom) RB-75T = AGM-65A with mine warhead for use against ships and structures (sort of an A with an E or F warhead)

Some further tips is that you can change the "colour" of the ep13 sight with a1 and a2 buttons. It is also possible to change the brightness and contrast of the sight which improves the useful range of the sight.

Oh god! Thank you! I was playing the Beachhead mission in the default grey color and with the fog, it makes it extremely hard to see outside AAA range 😅

I tip I read somewhere was to load RB-75s in the sequence which you plan to fire (I believe the sequence is outer left-outer right-inner left-inner right). For instance, 'RB-75B'-'RB-75'-'RB-75B'-'RB-75' for two run-ins. This enables you to have a zoomed-in view for the first missile and a more wide-angle view for the second missile. Also, if you put the CK-37 in 'TAKT' and IN/OUT to 'OUT' (and perhaps something more), you can see the status of each weapon station ('1' for fully functional, '-' for non-functional and '0' for released) (page 281 in the RC1-manual).

@@grimreapers I did som tests just now and RB-75 on station 6-5 and RB-75B on station 3-2 works really nicely for a two-run setup.

Maybe the RB 75T there is a training missile but the RB 75T in reality, here, was for "T" as in "Tung", ie "heavy". A heavier warhead iirc more suited for ships. A heavier warhead and a delayed fuse iirc..

Great video Grim! As a new pilot your videos are a great way to get to know the systems and how to use the Viggen. For the neardy, I believe that the RB75-B is fictional in the manner that Maverick B was never used by the Swedish air force, although technically possible.

Nice vid cap, good idea with the autopilot. i normally dont move the seeker-marker - its hard to keep the orientation :-P so i aim with my plane; look - lock - fire

How can it never be this easy after doing the tutorial? Every other time I want to use the rb7b the tv sight just won't turn on and "FÄLLD LAST" will just be blinking as if it has adhd. This game is never about sitting down and playing it but rather sitting down and TRYING to play it and working out errors. Also often when it works it won't work after I've fired the first rb7b

Glad to know Im not the only one with this issue! I have no trouble getting the Collimator sight on first time however. But fire one RB75 onto a locked target, and then it turns off! makes for a very awkward flight home in multiplayer servers carrying my entire loadout - 1. I have tried everything I can think of, toggle weapons sytems to something else and swapping back, safeing the weapons and turning back to nav. nothing fixes it in the short term for a multiple rocket run. however after maybe 5 minutes of flight leaving everything set for an attack run the Collimator comes back online! but by then Im already home, not much use sitting in a holding pattern for 5 minutes for another run xD This never used to be an issue years back, so that we're both here now with this same issue its likely every tutorial is out of date with a missing step

@@Beasty0ne I noticed my problem with the TV turning off after firing 1st missile was that I had enabled unlimited ammo in singleplayer so when the missile I had just fired respawned it had to heat up again for 3 minutes lol.. Very weird this happened to you in multiplayer! :/

@@UWfalcin I wonder if thats why it didnt work for me then... It was a small aus pve training server with 2 people online, thanks for the tip though, hopefully it is the reason so I can use them proper in normal use when I next get a chance!

you need to toggle safety off and then arm again for the next mavrik to display their cam when you fire the first one, also when starting the sortie it takes 3 min for the mavrik to warm up@@Beasty0ne

Is there a circumstance when you’d want to select the least-capable missile among your options? To train to become proficient with it and thus make better missiles easier to use as well?

You need to set weapon selector knob to rb75 not AT :)

Nice and useful! But compared to the A10-C it is very medieval. This translates to : Be very careful choosing the Viggen for the right job e.g. ship-hunting and cluster bombing - and of course ELINT. A video on the ELINT role would be interesting.

They are two very different machines. One is designed for hit and run, the other is for CAS.

I don't have DCS yet, but these videos are great. I'm definitely gonna follow these tutorials I do. One thing I think would be cool is if you'd show what your hands are doing. Basically have a camera showing how you operate the stick and throttle :)

Isn’t it easier to do it with att hold instead of alt hold? Your RB75 should aim straight at the target then.

That shitty rb75 won't show up what the heck am I doing wrong? I selected rb75 and anf, pressing t1 fix all day long but that cross hair don't show up 😒

Argh forget it I got it... I set the Anti ship load out in mission editor and the manual says the viggen can't handle mixed load, with only rb 75 it works... (stupid to set it as a standard load out then) 🤦‍♂️
