I really think that Alex is the nicest calmest dude and then he says "were going to be squeezing the life out of our opponent" with an absolutely menacing grin on his face. This boi dangerous.
Once again Alex, you show why you are one of the best chess teachers around. I love and continue to study your London Course but watching you play is sort of magical and I realize how much work I have to do especially being one of the lower ranked players you love to mention. I just played against a cheater that scored a 98.6 and called me a NOOB (I had to look up the meaning). At least you are polite when you kill the opponents and smile when they find the "resign" button. HAHAHA!
15:38 How would the Greek Gift go? 1.B×h7+ K×B, 2.N-g5+ K-g3, 3.Q-g4 ( cocking the gun ) K-f6 ( slipped out of range ), 4.Q-h4 ( cocking the gun) K-e7 ( saying 'Take your best shot' ). The discovered attack is toothless. White has nothing.
11:28 White wins with the three peice suit and 'to clearance' move. Three peice suit; the knight is the arm, the queen is the hammer, and the rook is the disruptor. The disruptor; sac-sucks king to the 'T' square (termination square) and clearing out the 'K' square for the queen, the kill square.
hey Alex thank you so much for the amazingly instructive content…what would you recommend the J london or the london? my opening now is B3 but i hate it it’s too crammed for a beginner like me
Alex thanks for the very instructive videos, just a small advice, maybe better to avoid those super quick move rewinds to show alternative scenarios, while the opponent is about to move, as for example i'm trying to reconstruct the games, and the point gets totally lost, then when you put the position back, the opponent made the move and it is difficult to see it :) I reckon high rated players have no issues to reply all in their minds but i get lost😁
Alex watching your videos has been the single biggest improvement device to my game. The c4 breaks have made such a massive difference to my game. The thing I'm still puzzled about is when to break on e4? Thanks for all the great content
I loved watching your first opponent play the bad variation of an Old Benoni! Shows there's some people starting to play anti London defenses at this level! But it was game over when black played Bf5 on move 3! I would have transposed to the Benoni-Indian with Nf6 on move 2 or played the Hromadka System on move 3 with d6. I like the Old Benoni because it's like the Sicilian because it starts with 1... c5 and there are a million variations and transpositions, some very good and others very bad. But this variation was exceptionally bad by his choice. Fun watching you dominate his butchered variation!
That last game. If I was playing I'd be so gutted at the level I was destroyed. Every move after the 2nd one dubbed "dubious" was a desperation move... I've had so many games being crushed like that, I can empathise with your opponent.
Game 2: Against Nh5 I would always play e3 and allow the Berkes structure. Retreating or getting fancy just loses time in my opinion. Be5 might good too but I’m unfamiliar with the resulting positions.
Recently, I've been getting a lot of my opponents playing e5 at the very beginning after I've opened with my pawn. Can you point me to a video where you show the best moves when black plays e5 right away? Thank you!
@@AlexBanzea no problem at all, I'm happy to look through it :-) And I still want to sign up for coaching but I'll just have to do it after the holidays
