This was a nice soap comparison on the two soaps. That was a tough head to head for sure. The Shield Razors really look like the are very well made and the SE looks awesome. Great video as always.

I've got the Shield titanium AC on route, we'll see if its as awesome as their GEM. Also, I have the yaqi titanium ghost coming, hoping it's better than the romulus I received 😂. Great shave 👌

Nice one Josh! To me even if it came out as a tie, that would be something. I don't know the processes for them, but I would think since tallow is basically pure fat, that it would have the edge. But maybe since there are some other things in the goat milk , that kind of makes up for that. It is interesting and no matter which one you get, you really can't go wrong with Alienshave. Mike is the man and Sheild razors are awesome. Definitely at the top of my list for my next razor purchase, because you can't just have a couple, you've got to get all the flavors. I'm still hoping for a single edge slant, but even his take on a normal slant would be cool. I've never tried those blades before, but I might have to get a pack. I wonder if Mike will ever dip his toes into the shavette market? Have a great one buddy!

Honestly, I'm not a soap maker, so my knowledge is very limited - but I can say there are some subtle differences between the two. The texture, the voluminous nature, even the water band was slightly different. Both are good, I think the Tallow one is more similar to the consistency and softness of most artisan soaps, whereas the goat is VERY dense and packs a ton of use per tub. Thanks so much for watching my first try at a base battle!

I mixed a brass AC head with a black ( cerakote) titanium AC handle. 44g shaving perfection and the balance is spot on. I heard Mike is coming out with two new handles. One will be very grippy and the other. possibly shorter and similar in size but different looking to the one on the original Predator. Great video!

Awesome intro and soap base battle. Nice shave. Good to see you are doing better. How about the after shave feeling between these two? Asking since goat milk soaps seem to leave my skin a little more hydrated. I definitely need to try this soap when it releases. Looks like shield is making some awesome products and i need to try one. Have a great weekend buddy

Yeah that's the thing, I thought I was crazy, but the goat did have a happier, like glow feeling post shave! I mentioned it, like not sure why, but man it feels really good post shave! Makes me want to go back and retry some other goat milk bases! Thanks so much for tuning in Mike!

@@SubieShavesI missed that part as I was picking up my son from school. Watched again. It's nice to see artisans coming up with new bases especially with goats milk. My best bases that I've tried are HC&C, PAA and Stirling Sheep as these three leave my skin so happy.

New & website says that it can use any of these: Feather Professional Feather Super Professional Feather Softguard Feather ProGuard Kai Captain Kai Captain Titan Mild Protouch Pro Proshave-S Schick Proline P30 First 25 discounted with a stand for $149. Good video!! It's interesting to hear you prefer the Shield over the Vector. What is the word you say at 5:35 about the Vector? I hear "binds up blades" what does that mean?

I talked about it a bunch about a year ago. Many of the Blackland Vectors sold have warped caps due to the thin metal - and it has been known to warp into the blade causing it to be DARN NEAR impossible to remove. I have a nasty scar from the last time I used it and needed pliers to remove the blade. I spoke with Shane at Blackland about it and they directed me to fix it as shown ru-vid.comsNiTqaf6FRU?feature=share The problem is it rewarps - and in my opinion, a razor like this is just too dangerous to try and disassemble with a blade locked into place. The issue occurs with both their SS and Ti variations, not all the time, but enough that others hear have told me they too have had disassembly issues. Full transparency here 100% - I'd take the Shield over the Vector every time, it's never hard to disassemble.

Absolutely excellent with mine, and everyone I have talked too. Check the comments here, people that are using it all agree - it's really well made. Just my thoughts, but it has put other SE AC razors in the drawer for me 👍
