I can't begin to imagine the sheer magic of the UK '80s chart ever being equalled... A truly fantastic time for those of us who were in our teens & lucky enough to be on the pub/club scene. Precious memories of my amazing youth playing back to me through RU-vid 4-decades later. Who could've ever imagined that back then.
I'm - per date, 56 years, and I have been listening to this extraordinary person with her magical voice, since the release of "ALF"in 1984! ~ now, that is some 40 fullsome years, of listening to a voice & soul of pure, inner love ❤
Your not wrong. I've loved her voice since I first heard in the 80's in Yazoo with Vince Clarke. I love a bit SLF and The Clash but she still sounds great for a chill out.👍👍
Vince Clarke amazing underated muso up there with the best in history just with Alison in Yazoo.Depeche Mode and Erasure outstanding he creates that great synth sound of the 80s and 90s he did
The problem with life is you often don't tend to appreciate things while your there, and you long to go back too go back and enjoy it like you should have the first
@@lauraandrade9905 Too much vocal acrobatics with Whitney though, e.g. why sing one nicely sustained heartfelt note when ten brash arpeggios across three octaves will do lol
Best female vocalist in our generation... nobody has ever taken over from Alison! Amazing voice, and think the most unpretentious girl around in our day! Her voice made her, in every way, so special xx
80's pop music was innovative, well produced, original, melodic, harmonic, told a story and the singers could really sing. Alison is one of the very best vocalists. Today's female singers do not put emotion or anything into their songs, just moan, whine and barely hold a note to save themselves. At least we have these tops tracks for modern youth to listen to to really hear natural talent at it''s best
I forgot she was quite the looker. I must have been too young (16 in 1990) to appreciate such a fine woman. Her music really stands the test of time and is as good today as back then.
I wonder if Allison ever goes on RU-vid and reads what people write on here? I hope she does she will realise how loved she is,favourite all time female artist gorgeous woman fancied her then fancy her still !!
I remember i used to tell my parents: "I'll never listen to old music", "I'll never listen to love songs", "i'll never fall in love" and here i am, crazy in love, dying with this inside my chest, with old songs all about this crazy beautiful thing called LOVE! c:
La llegaba a ver en aquella oportunidad le hubiera propuesto matrimonio!❤❤❤ pero vivía en Argentina y me quedaba un poquito lejos 😢😢😢 una pena!! Felicitaciones!!! Tremenda cantante!!!👌🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Didn't realize back then what a Beautiful woman she was dont know why always had a lovely smile and we all knew she had a great voice, seen her recently on RU-vid she still sounds great.
Herb Alpert playing the trumpet. Jeff Porcaro of Toto playing drums Jimmy Iovine playing keyboard and also produced this. The 80s had a lot of great musicians working together. 😊
It reminds me of my randy postman all those yrs ago he thought I was an easy prey used to knock my door can I come I said go on your way he was good looking tho he was a married man anyway lol xx
This Stay At Home period brings back lots of 80s and 90s memories where the world had less troubles and life was more simpler and less pressure. Best of all VIRUS FREE back then!
Alison ! The woman who was Adele , before Adele came along ! An amazing voice ! A true talent , who as she has said, never became the star she should have been , in the 1980's because she was plus sized ! so unfair ! Yet in the end her talent and voice has ensured that she is an icon ! Thank you
