He's been in the league since 2008 and he only has six career ejections. I'm impressed at how few he has gotten.

Fun fact about Gardy. Only 25 errors in his entire career, his former outfield mate, Granderson is the only Yankee to play 150+ games and not record a single E. However, Grandy finished his career with 31 errors. Although he played 2 more years than Gardner. ..Still very impressive how reliable Brett was. Brett put up 5 errors in the 2011 season, of which he played 156 games in the OF, wonder if he’s still pissed about those.

if i’m just casually watching a game/have it on in the background, every single. double. play… my brain immediately anticipates that classic drum fill 😂 more often than not, it’s correct. but when there’s 0 outs i have a mini freak out when i don’t hear it lol. such a catchy little tune!

Yea I’m not upset at all I just hope he doesn’t interfere with Frazier’s development. That should not be a 50-50 split. If they would have signed him for anything north of 10 mil it would not have made sense business wise.

Gardner used to frustrate the hell out of me when he batted. Seemed like he ALWAYS took two strikes before swinging. Rarely did he approach aggressively. Jeter for instance, would jump on first pitch fastballs down the tube and became a legend. Gardner would allow two fastballs down the middle and swing at junk pitches. He always eliminated his chance to jump on fastballs. I guess he was more comfortable hitting breaking pitches. Idk but he frustrated the hell out of me.

This really highlights how shit umpires are. if you argue when they are wrong then you get ejected. No other sport does that. hard to grow the game when a kid comes to see his favorite player but the player gets ejected half way through for looking at the ump after the ump missed a call. Robo umps couldn't get here faster, there is no good argument to keep umps when we have something that can do a better job without bias and without error. We only had someone calling balls and strikes because computers didn't exist yet.
