I show you how to two ways to fix any Microsoft Surface Pro that won't turn on or wake up (black screen). Hope this helps.

I found my issue was when I used my docking station the battery does not reach voltage to run on after dead. Plugging in the Travel adapter gets the job done!

None of it works, I only get the logo to turn on for a couple secs. Looking at Microsoft forums the hardware is shit. It's like 6 months old, we don't even use it every day, and when we do it's not for much. We bought it because our pc crashed due to windows update, now this. What the actual hell microsoft?

I have a Surface here that it didn't work. They thought the adapter went bad and the tablet just ran out of juice. They bought a replacement adapter but it still won't charge or come on. I tried the bold hold down tricks, nothing. It doesn't appear to be charging, no lights or indicators. I've tested the pins on the charger and it seems to be correct, no shorts or opens, 12V at both ends. Still can't tell if the problem might be the charging port itself (it visually looks good, not loose or wiggly), or just a super dead battery that won't come back to life. Any other tricks?

Holding the power button did not work for me, however, doing the same thing with all the buttons did. It brought up the boot menu (which I just exited) and it booted up. (My surface sat with a dead battery for at least 9 months and was charging over night before this)
