Literary everything you said is 100% true, I went to a high school in a really small community, nearly everyone was Asian. The 'it' crew consisting of the hot girls and guys literally have not moved on from that time. They are stuck in time, in their style (girls still have the same straight hair for example lol) careers and life's and all of us who were deemed the 'freshies' have done so well and are really progressing. Once you leave high school you realise that there is a bigger world out there and you will blossom and find your place. A quick story, I am 24 , was on the tube coming home from work and I sat down and realised the guy sitting opposite me was the guy who always bullied me. And literally , he stared at me the whole time because I have completely changed and he literally was exactly the same! It felt so good to see how I have changed in the right time. Just have sabr and complete high school , just concentrate on your studies seriously! Peace x

I'm 39! Alhumduhlillah I stopped aging at 26. Feels like I'm stuck in a perpetual time loop 😂. So many people age too quickly both mentally and physically. Be young at heart people... doesn't mean you have to be immature, peace!

Throughout my educations years No boy ever looked my way. I was always single. All the boys wanted to date my friends and I was just left on the side all alone. Ah.... This reminds me so much of my younger insecure self.. Here's the story. I used to have this family friend super outgoing cute funny pretty she was good at everything. Basically made me feel insecure as hell cuz I was super shy amd reserved all my life. While I dressed awkward through most of my teen life she was there fashionably flaring outfits getting attention and approval from even my own parents. Smh. Fast forward to end ofhigh school I topped my classes whereas she passed with an average score and another few years later now I am happily married while she is on her ..sixth? Boyfriend. Trust me girl. The less attention u attract, the less drama will surround your life.

Okay I don't have a channel but to anyone watching this this is my advice: When people say looks don't matter, they're lying, trying to make someone feel better, or they fit Eurocentric beauty standards of beauty. To the girl who asked the q, I know you're not ugly, society is ugly for the fucked up expectations it places on girls. You don't have to exist for a guys approval. This is what we are taught since birth basically, but please don't let getting guys' attention be your central purpose in life, or determine your actions, or stop you from living with confidence, self-love and self acceptance. Because you are more than any boy's attention and you deserve so much more. I'm not saying you shouldn't want love or attention, everyone does it's human. I think I grew up too fast during high school not physically lol cos I'm ugly af but maturity-wise. Like I firmly believed that people in high school were temporary so I ended up caring a lot less about what everyone else thought, distanced myself from my friends thinking they were only temporary. Finished with the top grades in the year group, but really didn't have a set of friends where I had a proper connection with. 😐 Throughout 2 years of college, I lost interest in socialising and making friends. I only actually just made 1. 19 now and I literally don't bother to actively seek friends because I sort of don't know how to anymore! Rip !

I truly believe that being the "ugly girl" in highschool saved me from sooo much trouble. Looking back at my photos there was nothing wrong with how I looked, but somehow I wasn't interesting to anyone. Alhamdulillah for that. It means by the time I found the one man I'm meant for forever, I wasn't hung up over all these boys. Being in love for the first time with the man you marry is something special, and dating from highschool age means you will never experience that again with anyone and you lose some of the magic. Allah knows what is best and is protecting you from no-good boys until your hubby comes along ;)

Yeah I guess a lot of people go through this. I was never the girl who any guy noticed growing up even though my family and friends said I was very beautiful. It was probably more to do with the fact I was very quiet so they might have not known how to approach me and make conversation. Perhaps that's why for you as well? But it's very important to learn, don't let other people dictate your self worth. Just because someone doesn't find you attractive it doesn't mean you're ugly, don't let their opinion define you only your opinion of yourself can do that :) it's a very dangerous thing for your self esteem if someone else is validating your worth whether that be in attractiveness or anything else. I have only ever been asked out twice in my life. The first relationship lasted 4 years now I have my second boyfriend and believe me I never thought that would happen when I was younger because no body payed attention to me but you just have to roll with life and you'll be pleasantly surprised where it takes you :) it will work out for you because there is always someone for everyone :) just give it time and try to find your own inner confidence. Who cares if these guys don't like you. They're missing out, but their obviously not the one for you. Someone greater is ahead 😀

My advice: sounds like you’re in college. If all your crushes like your friend then it sounds like need to venture out into the world alone. Let the guys know you for you, before they meet your friend. The best way to win someone over is by having a winning personality. Looks only draw someone in, but your personality is what creates that liking. I would write out, in my bio, “don’t message me if you wanna get with my friend” lol, because that’s so rude! Focus on being a positive person, that people want to be around and you’ll catch the right fish soon enough. It just takes time, you’re not alone.

I wish I understood back then that eventually I would like myself and be confident, I'm still not completely confident in myself. But I'm much better now than back then. I compared myself to so many pretty girls and hated that I didn't look "pretty" and "girly". I want girls to understand that blossoming isn't just about changing your style or the way you do your make up and the clothes you wear. It's also mentally understanding yourself and being okay with yourself physically and mentally and emotionally. Blossoming is all about you coming to terms with yourself, it's not just about appearance.

Walahi I feel this so much. But what I've learned is that it's a good thing because I now attract guys that aren't of the shallow type. My friend use to have a new guy every week and they were all wastemen and just interested because she was hot. I totally agree. I honestly truly got nothing form guys in high school 14-18 then had a mini life crisis at 19 then smoothed out this past year and truly relaxed and got focused on sports and engineering and suddenly I am getting sparkling eyes form young men of all types. It's a bit surprising and flattering but. Omg it's kinda shocking I'm 20.5 now and still single but ladies it looks up.
