@@ryanboyd100 That’s an open-ended statement! If Reggie Miller, penny hardaway, Dennis Rodman, Charles Barkley, D wade, Kimba walker, and over 200 other players has Kobe’s mamba mentality, they’d be #2! Casual statement
I use to down play iverson as well I always said he was elite don’t get me wrong but I would say man he had no rings but when I saw the game one that was the top 3 best playoffs game I ever seen offensively the man completely beat a team himself that was a prime Shaq an kobe gave them there only loss I mean lakers didn’t lose one game in the playoffs that year except to iverson an you literally have to say iverson because he did that dude was unbelievable

PRACTICE!? We talkin bout PRACTICE!? Hate em or Love em, he might not like to go to practice all the time, but come game time, he always gave it everything he possibly could. And US fans here in Philly, can sense that in a player, and we LOVE it!
I was truly blessed as a 80s baby millennial, to see both Kobe and AI both drafted in that great ‘96 nba draft. And watching them go at it in that ‘01 nba finals rest in power to the Blacc Mamba and s/o to The Answer 💯💯💯💯.
Same! Talent level of the 2000 generation is crazy, everyone wants to be MJ, they just literally want to kill each other 😂 I'm glad I'm seeing it again with AntMan, I thought KD will be the last of them 😊
Kobe had Tmac, Allen Iverson, and Ray Allen as immediate Rivals….No matter how much Kobe showed no fear on the court whenever he went up against these guys he knew he had to turn it up.
@@dominiqueburton5851 you shouldn't be allowed to talk basketball if you are far off from what he thinks all 3 players mentioned are top 7 to 10 players all-time idiot
you know there is no such thing as pound for pound in basketball, small guys have to face giants all the time..and thats what made AI even more special
I don’t think these dudes get enough credit for changing the game and shaping the nba how they did, if you look at the 90s 80s before they came in the league, the game was way more play inside than out. Guys rarely came down dribbled through their legs and pulled up for 3. “Handles and pulling up for 3” weren’t a thing n the prior generations, MJ was all midrange and played n the post, Magic and Bird were n the post, the league was dominated by big post players and everyone dribbled “fundamental”, Steph gets a lot of credit for it bc he was the 1st pure shooter who also pulled up off the dribble w handles but Kob AI T Mac all made having handles and pulling up off the dribble popular and the norm
These two are my favorite players after the 80-90 generation (yes I know they technically fall into that im referring to the MJ era), Kobe is the closest to MJ we will ever see and AI was superhuman for his size, he had insane hops and his handles were completely impossible to guard.
They say the exact same thing about eaxhother every time they talk about one another. I love the respect and I loved watching them battle and talk shit to eachother. As a fan that's the best shit you can see
This is stupid… did he bite AI?! Did he eat any part of him?! Did he attack AI in the water?! Sounds like he wasted his time watching useless film then!🤣
@@maxb4318 not at all - only people more influential than him are - Steph, Jordan, LeBron and Kobe himself. You see a brotha outside with braids, tats and shi, more often than not a brotha will tell you it's AI who I saw this shit from
@@maxb4318 Not only the tattoos, the street ball game, the arm sleeve, being outspoken...everyone owes Iverson in today's game. He was the trailblazer that took the spanking so this generation could do it freely.
I was 9 in 01 when I started watching ball. AI will forever be my favorite player. I HATED AND FEARED EVERY DRIBBLE OF KOBE CAREER, until his last year. I won’t believe Kobe gone.
he did practice hard that one liner is just one time he didn't want to ... plus david stern hated AI general manager did everything in his power to ruin that man and stop him from getting a championship
When i first saw a.i it was that crossover on Jordan. I said to myself "who is this man, who put a crack in my hero's armor". Later i would mix a.i and Jordan's moves together, then kobe came into the league and i got to watch another version of mj all over again. Basketball was so good in the 90's and early 2000's.
Two of the best! One pound for pound the Greatest AI and Micheal Jordan the Greatest of all time! TWO LEGENDS AL AND THE MJ THE GOAT! KOBE ENOUGH SAID! 👏💙✌️☯️
When you’re a team facing Iverson, you always want the ball in his hands. You know he’s going to shoot it and you know he’s going to miss a lot. You can live with a guy making 41% of his shots all night long even if he scores 50 points.
Omg no lie I was literally thinking the same thing 3 seconds before I saw your comment. I think they could have gotten a lot of chips. Although AI suffered a lot outside the game. Too many demons and I wonder if he would have stayed hungry enough to get as many as Shaq and Kobe did together.
RIP Kobe he was the man gone way to some RIP his baby and the others who was taken way too soon from they fam. Seen MJ both of them but Kobe was da one two me. AI should get way more respect from fans the players know. At 6"1 175 maybe would've been unfair if he was even 6"4 n up mostly so he could have more wear n tear saying that he still played 15 plus. He was a beast and his kicks were also legendary. 6"1 avg. 28-33 ppg. An Era I will also remember, game recognize game
The fact is that nobody puts Kobe bean Bryant in the goat 🐐 conversation, os crazy. Kobe truly love the game of basketball. Kobe wasn't worried about breaking records to be great. He just loved the game of basketball and how to shut down every good player he played against. Nowadays, ball players wanna break records to be great. When y'all talk about the goat convo, bring up Kobe. We all see Kobe shut down Lebron, and he thinks he's the greatest of all time, Kobe showed Lebron every time they played against each other who was better. FACTS....
