I think you'd be surprised. Trucks can save quite a lot of fuel with decent aero, which saves the logistics company a lot of money. So while the overall shape of trucks obviously is pretty blocky, they use a lot of tricks to improve the aero.
@@totallykoolkiwi a comparison between some sleek Euro trucks and some big boxy American trucks would be interesting. Since Euro trucks like Mercedes focus on aero and efficiency whereas American trucks just focus on raw power.
Great to see a really great proper analysis of a F1 Car. There are so many technical analysises from amateurs who think they can analyse F1 Aerodynamics without even a fundamental knowledge about aerodynamics. Ridiculous! Here we have the opposite - a great analysis from someone with a huge knowledge and experience about Aerodynamics and racecars. Thats how it should be. I just cannot understand how amateurs who never had any experience with racecar Aerodynamics and who did not study aerodynamics think they could do an analysis about a F1 car. Thank you very much for doing a proper, great analysis with your deep aerodynamical knowledge and experience!

Mate years ago I never found these Infos. And now its for free.. Jsut amazing thanks for you work. One of the reasons why I change from IT to become and Engineer is my fascination with F1 and motorsport. Your videos together with craig etc really motivates me.

Thanks for those concise analyses, very Interesting. I have a suggestion for a future video : What about analysing the venerable BMW CSL "Batmobile" race car? The idea would be looking at what they were trying to do at the time and after what would you do with insight of modern knowledge and tools. I'm pretty sure alpha tauri did the same thing last season where they released a mostly 2021 car but with the 2020 front wing on it. Such a weird way of launching a car IMO because they're obviously keeping their cards close to their chest but that doesn't stop them from releasing some juicy information anyways.
Could you make a round up video and place teams in the order from worst to best in your opinion. Or you could rank them based on how you believe they will perform.
If he was able to guess how fast around a track they go, most of the important details are obscured or hidden on the cars. Even the slowest F1 car is still unbelievably fast around a track, thanks to thousands of hours of work from professionals. Anyone you see making guesses as to which car looks the fastest is probably complete nonsense
can't wait for the ferrari analysis, that thing looks weird. I do hope it works, but just as Aston Martin, it looks like someone got too focused on a crazy idea, and that very rarely works out great.
