Is your seat able to latch down all the way? I was reading some of the reviews on amazon and some people said they couldn't latch their seat all the way down.
Yeah I read that too and yes I can still fully latch my whole seat down and it actually is a little lower then my subthump box cause I could feel the top of the sub box when I would sit in the back seat
I have 12s but can’t find a under seat box I just got them but I’m exchanging them for 10s but I was wondering how they fit in that box with the hole dimension being just a tad bigger then the dimension of the sub itself. So was curious on how good they fit?
U can get 12s but they gotta be shallow ones and these exact subs and exact box are perfect. I looked at the requirements for space for the subs and the box mfg to see the specs on it ans it was just right air space for the subs. Go to the mfg of the subs and mfg of the box and they will tell u the specs for both
Rikki Diesel alright sweet. Gonna order that box for sure. It’s from subthump correct? And yeah I don’t have shallow subs. But I’ll down grade to 10s but I’m sure they hit hard and loud
how do they sound now that you have some time with them? Always wondered about them with the 5 layer under hung coil must sound clean and crisp? Are the lows ok?
@@rikkidiesel did this sub hold in? im about to buy it because this thing is unbeatable for its price. Downgrading from 2 12' subs but i doubt it will be much of a downgrade lol
Copy. My issue is I have small sedan (2008 Subaru impreza 2.5L) and I usually keep my tools in the trunk among a few other things, so I was thinking maybe a get the SLIMMEST box enclosure for the coils any suggestions? And, do you think I should grab these?
@@86mnillaman get a box that gives enough air space for the sub cause if u do something that doesn't give it enough air it will sound shitty and yes if u order a qty of 1 u will only get 1 sub. If u need 2 buy two
@@86mnillaman I would go with a 10" in a sealed box. Sealed boxes are smaller than ported ones. Make sure the sealed box follows Alpine recommend volume etc. If not it wound sound that great. If you give it 500w rms it will still hit pretty hard. You could also easily move it out the way if needed.
@@drvictoria07 it does hit hard but wouldn't be as loud as it would be in a ported box. Sealed boxes are more accurate faster bass while ported is more just for loudness can't go wrong with either but depends on the specs of the subwoofer
@@rikkidiesel thanks! I just want that solid thump bass! Not that rattling bass mess! I have 2 Quantum 5000 12 inch subs going in a sealed enclosure pumped by a 3500 watt quantum amp.
@@drvictoria07 that loud of subs and amp is going go to rattle the whole damn car lol if u don't want that and just clean bass do a 10 inch in a sealed box and mabey a 500 watt mono amp but even that will rattle a little bit
Dual 4 ohm subs can’t be wired to run a 2 ohm load. You either get a 1 ohm or a 4 ohm load. Honestly I have no idea what ohm you’re running the way you have those wired.
@@rikkidiesel ok maybe I was thinking wrong. So you wired both the subs to a mono amplifier like you showed in the video. So your final is 4 ohm? I’m wondering because mine aren’t as load as they should be and I’ve literally went through my whole system. Only difference is mine are two ohm. Thanks bro
@@paulkelsey6411 they are wired down to a 1 ohm atleast they should be didn’t see at the amp but I have mine wired the same way and they are 1 ohm but I have a 1k mono block amp and it keeps going into protection mode I think its to weak for these subs
