Nice kitchen, nice yard. Somebody said you were in Texas. I didn't see anything about that but was wondering. Up next, coyotes in the smoker. Ha,ha,ha!
I was wondering the same thing, I’m also curious as to why you would add all of that salt into the brine when smoked meat is salty already ??? I’m curious as to how they would taste ? Hopefully not too salty.
That is what I was wondering, these legs are already cooked. Good recipe, would more than likely work great for raw legs. I’ll give the recipes try on raw Turkey.
Nice looking turkey legs beautiful color, those really look delectable. Did you know that smoked cornbeef is pastrami, all kind of items for this summers venue. Nice Job
John Knapp I didn’t know that John..Cornbeef may be next on the menu! I love pastrami! By the way, there is one item you have been asking me to cook over the last two years...I’m not going to tell you but it will be posting in the next few weeks...(My teaser for the weekend) Take care my friend and stay safe out there.
Eddie Tagle Cedar Hill, Texas it’s about 15 miles south of downtown Dallas. Thanks for checking our the video! The coyotes generally howl every night around dusk.
😅 noticed in this video your smoke was very clean which is great and produces a good flavor. In some of the other ole hickory videos I noticed a heavy white smoke which is acrid and can make a bitter smoke flavor. Did you do anything different loading the charcoal basket ? I want to buy an ole hickory but was reticent and want to wait until I know I can get clean smoke
Hey Joe. My secret is to leave the door open until the charcoal or wood catches fire good. Afterwards its good to close the door. This is how I maintain good clean smoke. Hope this helps.
Are these precooked? First time making turkey legs weren’t sure I was supposed to get raw and brine, etc or pre smoked... how was the flavor with pre cooked and re smoked?
Lexii Gipson Hello Lexi, these were precooked turkey legs. The flavor whether pre cooked or raw will be enhanced by doing the brining method. It imparts so much moisture to the final product. The pre smoked is definitely good when you are trying to finish quickly. The raw is also delicious because you can hit them with whatever smoke wood you want to use to make it your own. Hope this helps. Thanks for checking out the video.
Hey Dea., Just checking…, are those Smoked turkey legs, (and if so, I thought smoked Turkey legs were already cooked)? Or…., are those raw, uncooked Turkey legs? What’s the difference? Thank you Sir
Great question Rev. Here’s the video you need to watch for uncooked Turkey Legs. Checkout the juices towards the end of the video…EPIC!!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p8k7g68Dono.htmlsi=FbxQKDZwqVtpDjOg
Hey Alex. There are plenty of good seasonings you can purchase at the store. I would look for a Cajun seasoning like Tony Chacheres , Creole seasoning. It will do the trick. When you get a chance go to heavenmadeproducts.com to see the seasonings i used. Take care and thanks for checking out the video.
