46, ex military, worked construction since middle school, I lived with pain and hate pills until a couple of RU-vid videos and some cheap bands cured me, I can't believe how easy it was
came back to this to comment since I tried it and actually felt instant relief. I did each rep for like a good 45 seconds though and actively “tried to break the band” from the very bottom all the way till my hands reached above my head. I did like 8 reps and this is the most relief i’ve felt for my shoulder impingement apart from doing wall angels for the traps. Finally something that works, I will make sure to do this everyday bc all the other rotator cuff workouts etc don’t make me feel this sort of relief
I’ve been doing this exercise for a couple of weeks now before my push day and it has helped me tremendously with my shoulder pain that I’ve had for years and years. So i def recommend it to anyone who has some shoulder issues.
Hanging fixed my shoulder impingement almost immediately. Lots of videos on it. It comes back now and then so I do some more hanging and it fixes it. I’d never have believed something so simple would fix this pain.
It would be great if you’re using a system like NKT, to know what was actually happening to her. Even if its only in the description, like her Infraspinatus being weak and her Supra overworking etc. Would be super valuable and educational ❤
After i left gym doing nothing i have alot of pain in the shoulders, etc. After picking up even slight exercise routines again its all gone after a while
I've been following your videos for a minute and I was thinking about reaching out to you when I needed to go to rehab for my shoulder but I don't think my insurance would've been able to cover so I went to a different one (they weren't the best ) and I would follow the exercises and routines you had for shoulder health and rotator cuffs and I can say from a year I use to not be able to bench 135 without shoulder pain and today I can bench 365 FOR REPS without shoulder pain so thank you for all the advice you've given everybody on the internet for free
Awesome, this looks like it really helps. I've been doing face pulls w a 5lbs band daily. It helps a lil but the pain is still there low key. I might also have to try the sleeping tips you guys gave
Yeah, pretty much the same spot I get shoulder pain. Way more intense in my right shoulder, and it even makes benching difficult until the joint warms up. Even holding up 10 pounds at a *certain* angle/spot is hard. No problems until I hit that spot, then it's like all strength just drains out.
That pain is caused by the supraspinatus tendon. I've suffered the same issue and found an exercise that provides immediate relief: the 'slow & trembling' full can. Just lift a light (like 2-4 kg) object in the scapular plane extremely slowly: it should take you about 10-30 seconds from the bottom position to 90º shoulder flexion (arm parallel with the ground) The subtle (but key) difference from a regular full can exercise is that, if you are doing it right (slowly and with the right amount of load), you'll notice your shoulder is trembling. This is extremely important: it must tremble slightly to be effective. If it's not trembling, either load is too low, you are lifting the object too fast, or the load is too high (and you're using other muscles to compensate) Just one rep is enough to notice a clear difference. Combine it with face pulls or other external rotation exercises for the infraspinatus and teres minor
I really love your channel and your content, I think it's of the best quality and most useful. I have the same problem as her I think, it hurts my shoulder when I reach a certain position high, and there also on rotation. How many reps and sets of this exercise? Every day? Could you provide some other exercises for that? Thank you so much!
Ayoyoyo I had to come back to this guys subscribe and comment this. The band movement works!! Literally 2 years of consistent pain when working out gone in 15 min, I just worked it and also did it leaning forward for my back delts and after it loudly popped just sitting there moving it but felt like a soft pop. Woke up today like wtf something’s different, a little sore but I got FULL ROTATION BBY!!
I would highly recommend reading "Shoulder Pain?: The Solution & Prevention" by John M. Kirsch. The sheer number of people who could heal their shoulder injuries from doing simple hanging exercises is staggering. Unfortunately, joint surgery is a very lucrative market.
How can I get exercises to target my labral tear in my right shoulder? I have had intermittent hip instability and did your hip instability video on RU-vid and it worked wonders for my hip. But everything I’ve tried for the shoulder hasn’t worked yet- I’m in law enforcement and my job is on the line- please send your advice
