Hey sir, i was doing the door streching- the last one where you have to put some weight down. And i felt super direct pain in the tendon like it snapped. The tendon that connects the rotator cuff and the biceps. I have finished physiotherapy and im kinda confused what to do now. Can you please help?
Thanks for doing video. How often would you recommend this workout every day, every other day, every three days? , if you watch the whole video, he does talk about stretching, but he also talks about strengthening with light weights and stretch bands. I was just saw a orthopedic doctor and he basically gave me the exact same exercise program.
Yes that’s how I did mine again. Frustratingly I released it a few days before after a slight impingement, but doing upright rows caused a really bad one where I could barely move my upper body.
I’ve had pain in my left shoulder for 2 weeks after hanging smoke detectors on ceilings. I’m trying out your videos and already feel some relief. I used to be a gym rat in my 20/30s. Thank you. PT’s rock!
I'm struggling to do most of these and was wondering if I should push through the pain or if I should not go quite as hard? For example, when I did the doorway stretch, just getting my arm up at a right angle and putting my forearm against the frame was pretty painful. I was able to continue to do the exercise, but I was in a substantial amount of pain while doing it. When I did the second floor exercise (putting my elbows in my back pockets), the arm with the impingement was very weak and wobbly. Additionally, it was painful. I'm a pretty tough person, so I definitely have no problem "playing through the pain," but before I do, I wanted to see about some feedback so that I don't make things even worse than they already are. What would you suggest? Modify and not push quite as hard, or go full tilt and push all the way through to do the exercise completely? Thank you so much for posting this video. I've been in worsening pain for months now, and I am really hoping that these exercises will finally bring some relief. I'm used to being pretty active and flexible, and I'm devastated that my mobility has been so limited. Sometimes I feel like fighting the depression that comes with this is even more difficult than being in pain. I feel so useless.
I have the pain only when I press and sometimes certain movements. This started when I woke up one morning. Wasn’t injured or doing any strenuous activity. I did the tests in this video , I feel no pain and arms moved with ease. But when I press I feel it. Sometimes it’s in that sink hole under the coracoid and sometimes if I rub the top of my shoulder the pain is there. With my elbow up to my chest, while I rotate my arms, no pain until I bring it down and back, to rotate again. I don’t have any trouble sleeping with it, but I still use the pillow under my affected arm. The door stretch , I think the first one, soon as I leaned forward, I heard and felt a crack in my affected shoulder. The others not so much.
Thank you I got a big reliefe in one session frim my shoulder pain which was muscular and i was nor able to up my arm even to clip my hair in hairclip. I am feeli g 70 %reliefe Alhamdulillah

Shoulder impingement means a crowding in the shoulder, many times I get people impingement, needing solitary rest and peace. :) serious with a slight bit of humor.

I am a cricket player, since few weeks suddenly my elbow is getting muscle tension and mild pain, whenever I go to bowl my arm is getting tension, now how to solve this problem please tell me?
Very professional! Well done! After doing the stretches I practiced the movements for the A and W presses while I was standing and even that was activating most of those muscles. Good talk-through.
I have been following your videos and flexibility and strengthening the core and I already feel better but can you make a video on cervical retrolisthesis
I have to ask I'm almost 440 and lost some weight recently but I pulled my back and now I can't walk and my right leg is numb went to the doctor they're saying I probably have a mad nerve in my lower back do you have any suggestions that could possibly get me walking again 🤷🏾♂️🙏🏾
Since you're Navy. I would ask them if it's okay or even go to a physical therapist and get an evaluation for all you're going through. I hope things go well for you to serve. Thank you for being willing to serve our country. Stay safe. May God bless you.
when I am doing your rotator cuff exercises, especially the sword one, I don't feel it in the cuff, I feel it in the outside and front muscle areas of the shoulder, I don't know if it's a "pain" or rather just a "tightness", but I am having trouble finding what appropriate exercises I need to do to rehab it or strengthen it etc, any help appreciated.. I am an extremely active surfer, but I've just had what I believe was an impact related shoulder strain nearly 3 months ago (falling head first from about 7-8ft high wave lip onto an unexpected sandbar in knee-deep water, basically same as onto firm grass from same height, tucked to roll my way out of it & impact happened on the outside of my shoulder).. my other shoulder feels nothing at all doing these same exercises
Jared, thank you for sharing these exercises. Question: I mainly have pain only in my right shoulder. Should I still stretch and exercise both shoulders or just target the one painful one? Thank you.
rule of thumb it doesn't hurt to do both and will only benefit you more. Whatever you do to one side of your body when it comes to working out its best to mirror it so you don't create any imbalance.
I have a lot of pain in my neck till right shoulder and also in upper back and the main reason for this is me spending a lot of time sitting due to my job and studies. Will these exercises help me curb it?
Probably because you were doing it with too much weight you should be doing no more than 5 pounds three sets of 25 reps if you want to strengthen your rotator cuff
Sorry to hear about your shoulder, @fingerprint5511. I do have a great video on some stretches you might find more beneficial: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Bv2iBmyKJMQ.html I hope these things help you, and thanks for commenting!
I actually don't recommend them, @user-wh1ii2mv2k! I would rather correct the problems so we don't need the brace rather than rely solely on it for support. I hope these exercises help you! Thanks for commenting.
Good question, @nicolevassallo7597! I like to mobilize and stretch pre-workout and then work the strength exercises into the training session. I hope these things help you, and thanks for commenting!
i watch your other videos and does exercises like that and feel worsen than before. i think i am doing wrong exercises. please sr guide me with exact exercises

I've had 3 surgeries on my right rotator cuff. The last one 5 years ago was quite major. Occasionally, I will have some impingement, and I need to do some rotator stretches and exercises. This recent issue has not responded that weel to what I usually do. I tried these 5 exercises, and they are easing my discomfort. The only exercise I did before was the side lift or next to the last exercise in the video. It is still a very effective pain reliever.
If you’ve had 3 rotator cuff surgeries, you need to do these weekly for the rest of your life….if not, you’ll need a 4th…over time, we lose muscle and flexibility…if you’re not doing things to stabilize your surgery results and keep your posture in check, you’re not solving the cause of your rotator cuff injury that led to surgery. 32 yr massage therapist, and I see this over and over again
Good question, @MilkToBread! Because none of them are actively contracting the rectus abdominis muscle they should all be safe for DR. I hope these things help you, and thanks for commenting!
@toneandtighten thank you...currently trying to repair 25 year DR after 4th baby 2 years ago and had no idea it was possible to improve. Don't want to worsen it.
Wish people would stop making videos on supposed ways to resolve impingement. Stretching will not fix it unless it was caused by and injury. In that case its rehab to get back to where you were. True impingement requires surgery and even then its not always successful.
@@christopherflynn843 research has showed that that impingement either doesn’t happen or even if it does it doesn’t correlate with pain. That’s why in the UK the surgery that used to be done for it (ASAD) has be decommissioned in large parts of the country.
How to do the Jeff Cavaliere "Face pulls" on your bed: 1 - Lay on your belly on your bed, with your head and shoulders overhanging the end of the bed. 2 - Get two light dumbells (5kg each) or just two water bottles. 3 - place the dumbells on the floor in front of your face. Pick them up and lift them ither side of your face, with your thumbs pointed outwards.
