I enjoy using my dot. I don't have a problem with the volume on it. Though it might be nice to have extra volume when I have a party. We bought one my hand I cap brother. He enjoys the dot too. Every night we tell it good night. lol

Great product but why dose it have to be Bluetooth? if the echo dot sits on the top of it you could use the aux and save battery life if it had one.

Batteries are good for when lightning strikes and the power goes out. She won't go to sleep on you and you can snuggle n cuddle together. I think that if you go beyond that; you want to use some form of protection against electric shock. Rubber is good for that.🎈

is there a camera you recommend for beginners?

So I've been considering buying an Echo Dot plus new BT speaker, but that costs nearly as much as a Google Home. Jordan, which would you recommend I purchase for 2017? (Note I don't have any smart home devices except Chromecast.)

just buy a bluetooth receiver/sender and conect it to your hifi and use that, Better than most crappy bluetooth speakers

The battery is handy when the power goes out? Do you still have an internet connection when that happens?

It seems a lot of extra money to be paying for a battery and an improved but not great Bluetooth speaker. I would suggest getting the Echo instead of the Echo Dot, and then get e.g. the Smartree battery base if mobility of the device is required. Personally I would buy additional Echo's rather than spending a lot of money on battery bases. It is a huge benefit not having to move a single Echo around the house, and not having to charge the battery base ever so often.....and running out of battery when you most need it. Having e.g. 2 Echo's would likely be a little bit more expensive to purchase than buying 1 Echo Dot and 1 Fremo EVO Amp'd (which is quite expensive but also not available at the moment) but the question is, I suppose, if you would rather have great sound and no battery in two locations of your house, or buzzing and compromised audio from the Dot and Fremo combo that you can carry around the house. Lastly one will have to wonder why the Fremo speaker connects via Bluetooth, which will obviously put extra strain on the battery pack that is meant to power the Dot. We all have different requirements but for my money I would never dream of getting the FremoEVO amp'd.......except if I was given it for free like Jordan Keyes of course.

I'm actually looking for a Bluetooth Speaker, and damn, they are so expensive 😭, could never get one of those, they are cool and everything but it's to expensive and overpriced, maybe it's expensive just here in Brazil idk

I'd just rather get something's like a Sony or a Bose portable speaker and just plug it in to my Echo you'll get much better sound that way
