I miss this. I first had some in 1979 (12) then 1989 (22) Im 56 now. I just never knew the name of where I was but the sweet flavor of that warm carmel and tangy turn your fingers orange yummy cheddar cheese in that wax bag is unmatchable. I hope they are still there 🙏 and its the same. I no longer have family in Chicago but id love my adult children to try it too.
I live in San Diego, CA, and a vendor sent us a hug tin a few days ago, like the one on this video. It was that mixture of cheddar cheese and caramel crisp. I have to say, I have never tasted better popcorn, ever!!! Glad to know I can order it, though it is pricy! Worth it though!

very delicious cheese and caramel popcorn - and stays 'fresh' for a decent period of time. I've had it from the shops, and mail order. The mail-order is just about as good as the shop - watch for their free-shipping events. Also, when available, the spicy cheese flavor is wonderful.
Fun fact: Garrett's Popcorn went from making popcorn eight hours a day to 24 hours a day. In 2002 and 2005, Oprah selected Garrett Popcorn as one of her favorite things. The Chicago based company had a hunch there would be a rise in sales - but not to the extent that occurred.
Definitely a Chicago Classic the Chicago mix I mean Garrett mix. If you are lucky you can find some of the bags in the grocery stores and it actually tastes pretty damn good not as good as getting a fresh bag from them downtown.
Looks great! Definitely not a place one can eat if they have a nut allergy though. Was extremely surprised they used the same scoop for all the popcorn. Still, a fantastic video. It was amazing seeing the machines they have for the popcorn. Beats what I had to use when I made it!
Im eating my popcorn now l am going to start my own little popcorn biz. In 2 wks lm going up to Chicago to attend a popcorn expo. I cant wait. Plus at the Airport im going to buy some of your popcorn to bring back home.
The best caramel corn is baked- super crunchy. Back in the day there was a popcorn place in downtown Milwaukee...on a cold day, the aromas were awesome!
Love to know what else do they put in this popcorn. I know brown sugar and butter but what else. They didn't show it all I would love to know the recipe.

I'm not a big popcorn fan but I'll go far out of my way for Garrett's! My go to is the Garrett's (Chicago) mix of cheese and caramel. No other popcorn is quite like it!
