oh Boy this was a hell of a match. Very tough to recover from it mentally, but matches like this is what makes us better players! Swing Vision referral: swing.tennis/r/ae6c33e517af8ddf
Literally played a match outdoors in the wind today after a winter playing indoors and had a lot of trouble adjusting and ended up losing. Super tough!
Great to see you back Andrey! I always like to think that there is no losses, only lessons learnt, if you choose. You did great considering the circumstances. Winds drive me crazy too. Cheers! MM
Hey Andrey, Im really glad to find your channel. RU-vid tennis videos are not often suited to this level of play and analysis and I’ve been struggling to find strategy tips to get me out of a 5.0 plateau I’ve been experiencing. One suggestion tho - whenever there is wind in a video, you should put a high pass filter on the video footage. Most editing software has the option.. it basically will silence a lot of the low-end rumbling that happens when microphones pick up wind and will make it easier to hear your commentary. Thanks again
Would love to see a vid of you working on a single handed backhand. I’ve never had a backhand bar a half decent slice but recently, thanks to RU-vid vids, I’ve been having a little success with bud drives. Would love to see your take on developing it though!
Even though this was hard to watch toward the end, I've had way worse meltdowns than this, so I know exactly how you feel. I was up 7-5 (pro set, first to 8), and had MANY match points on my serve. I would hit an ace out wide on the deuce side, then lose the next point, back to deuce, ace, lose the advantage, repeat. That happened probably 6 or 7 times in a row. After losing that game, I threw away the next three games and lost 9-7 and the other team like dogpiled the guy who beat me. I did at least win the doubles afterward to clinch the win but still, it was a tough individual loss that I've remembered since it happened in high school over ten years ago. It feels like I can always look back on that and realize what I was doing wrong mentally and remember that nothing will ever feel as bad as that first time it happened.
Good job, Andrey! Win or lose, I'll always watch your content. Your form is great! Ain't no one want to watch a "killer" that has minimal/no form. End of the day, we ain't pro, I think having quality "form" matters. Otherwise, I'll rather watch paint dry! ;)
Happy to see you posting again! These conditions looked brutal, it's weird to see you so out of sorts given how strong you usually look on court. Great overall analysis too.
