Nice to see you guys just getting on with it with no show or fear of failure. Great banter 👍

Fuel Doctor is formulated with a detergent plus two dispersants to disperse condensation and microbial growths plus a proprietary upper-cylinder lube to lubricate the emulsified contaminants as they pass through the fuel system to exhaust. Note the label states to initially pump or drain microbial sludge from the tank bottom prior to treating. The reason your comparison in the jars failed was because the dispersant's didn't have enough fresh fuel to to disperse the contaminants into, again as the label says treat and then fill to maximum capacity. I appreciate you only had one litre, consequently you had none to waste on glass jar experimentation, however if you put substantially more Fuel Doctor in the jar it would of cleared them to translucent, you then could pour both jars into the fuel tank to increase the in-tank dispersion. Luv your content and the banter look forward to watching more trials and tribulation in the west. Incidentally Fuel Doctor is extremely effective in flushing/cleaning cooling systems

I swear by that Fuel Doctor it really is bloody good stuff for the entire fuel system and injector and valve train .

I know this was over five months ago, but if you guys would’ve stuck a chunk of wood underneath the blade, you could’ve raised your greater up more to get that tire on easier

The Ant and Jack show continues you beauty. I believe tyres weigh more with air but the flat ones are harder to move (dead weight)

We used to have a hook on end of blade and throw blade right out side and use as a crane gib to lift tyres back on to ute , and had a ripper tooth in a frame so that when front tyre went flat could Jack up front end on blade a push tooth in as wedge to keep flat tyre off ground to drive back ..👍👍👍

No you can’t overdose it Jack. I sold fuel doctor for 20 years so I knew it would work when I sent you the comment. It S certainly not green cordial. I put it in both my utes every fill. Remember you need a very large initial charge, plus a much smaller dose for each fill

Just a thought on washout maintenance (permanent). The work done by Peter Andrews (P A Yeomans revisited) might be of some use here. I was wondering if he would suggest going upstream from where it crosses the road and carving out one or three+ small weir-ponds for a couple of reasons. a. Slow down the force. b. Letting water sit and soak in. c. Which should trigger the seed bank to grow (with some jungle juice/compost tea kicker) to reinforce the 'dam'. Though probably a job for a bobcat rather than the grader. OTOH he has also advised building extended berms along elevation lines to trap rain water in the outback. How practical those could be he never demonstrated, for good reasons no doubt.

I was just thinking this week that I had not seen the result of the Fuel Doctor experiment. So the verdict is that is works on both the water and the growth?

I'd say fuel doctor is great stuff, loosened all the fine varnish in my tank to clog my injector screens.

31:00 if you just filled it with rock making it a French drain that is exposed to the air it would hold up better. Widening that flow isn't gonna stop the erosion itll slow it down only slightly.

Got given some free fuel at work . Most expensive diesel ever !! so much algae that it blocked the bleeder pump , needed the truck to go so bypssed this with am outboard fuel bulb. Used fuel doctor that killed the algae but made it clump on the pickup & block it in the middle of 6 lanes of traffic. I still had to emty the tank & take the tank out & wash it out. Clumps of shit every where.

Diesel is a "wet" fuel, that is, it can have very fine water drops dispersed within it. With temperature fluctuations the water often drops out into the water filter (trap). Algae can and do grow in diesel because of the water. The test you ran overdosed both jars and therefore is meaningless. Most diesel additives serve three primary purposes, first an algaecide, second a paraffin inhibitor and third a water knock out (emulsion breaker) chemical. The label of the additive you are using should be read carefully and followed as overdosing can often increase the problem which is what you saw in the test jars.

Places like Volvo and Scania and so on say if you put any additives in your fuel tank will void the warranty

@Jdjd12288

I know that I was answering a question he brought up about saying why don’t they just had it to the fuel and I know for a fact with Volvo and Scania you put additives in the fuel tank to stop The bugs they will void your warranty
@einfelder8262
@einfelder8262 10 месяцев назад
Newsflash - all fuel has additives, different in each country, many filling stations put additives into your diesel like sand and water..... All engine oils have additives, all radiator water has additives. When your Volvo diesel grows algae in the tank that is an additive and you have no warranty. Algae grows in diesel. I suppose if you run your Volvo in high altitudes you have no warranty when using alpine diesel. Bottom line, when Fuel Doctors is added to diesel in the recommended quantity for a system that's clean to start with, you won't void the warranty on the fuel system because it won't damage it.
