Hey Laura, I did this Apple cake two days ago. I added some raisin and it was great. My friends asked me for the receipt. It is really good and taste delicious, the cake is moisture and the balance and not too sweet, just the right measure of sweetness.

When I was 18, I was baking something with my mom. She snapped at me for eyeballing the flour. Then she scooted me out of the way, grabbed the bowl and put the flour in a measuring cup and it ended up measuring out to the exact amount we needed anyway, then she told me, "Gabe, you measured it perfect!" Then I was like, "Told ya!" I'm a self taught cook. Whats been working for me the last 17 years hasn't failed me once. Your Nonna is awesome! And she's absolutely right! lol

Aww your nonna is so adorable, she reminds me of my beloved nonna. That cake looks fantastic. My mum makes the same cake and your right it's so moist and delicious and even if you don't like alcohol, I think it's a must in this recipe as it brings it to a new level and keeps it moist too. My mum adds a little sour cream to the cake also to maintain the moistness but overall it's exactly the same. Thank you to your nonna and yourself for sharing this with us. Yum.
