I still use these iPods: the pinnacle of the nano for me. Battery life is immense and they're so small you can easily take your phone as well in the same pocket. Wolfson DAC too.

Oh man. This brings back memories. This iPod was my first ever iPod. I had an hour long bus ride and this really kept me entertained. I loaded it up with movies, and even that G4 Podcast intro he played brings me back, I remember putting a few of those on my iPod also. I still have it and it works, i just cant find it lol
I still use this iPod today; It's fantastic, even though it's 4 years old. It doesn't feel obsolete at all, never fails. So great. Steve Jobs, you're the greatest. We will never forget your legacy.
still fucking beautiful. for a long time i collected apple devices but didn't had this one. one of my friends still use this. it's beautiful in hand. i wish apple sell ipod like this again

This was the greatest iPod of all time. I cannot begin to tell you just how much I loved this thing. It became an extension of my body haha. So many great memories listening to music and watching videos on the iPod Nano 3G. I wish I still had it.
I just bought one of these at a pawn shop and it works wonders still. The battery still lasts a long time and its great. I bought one today because I remember getting this same iPod for my birthday way back in the day. It was silver and I was happy to find the exact same silver iPod Nano in the pawn shot today. I sadly broke my iPod Nano 3rd gen a long time ago, but I was happy to find another one just today. And to be honest after using it for a while I still think this model of the iPod is MORE then usable even today. The screen is small, but good. The build quality is outstanding and very tough, and the headphone output still sounds great and it gets very loud. The storage is small yes, but still good enough for what i use it for. I bought a 3rd gen iPod Nano out of nostalgia because I missed having one. Oh, and LONG LIVE COVER FLOW 🙌👌
This was my first iPod/Media player! But it is pretty overpriced by today's standards. You could get a Nexus 7 for $199 at 16GB. I still love it though, mines in silver at 4GB! :)
Apple needs to re-release the iPod. And bring back these simple presentations- just people sharing amazing devices. No slick marketing or fancy videos.

Probably my favorite Nano they ever released. I even remember when they announced this, they launched them in Apple Stores the same day. I remember getting one right after work that day.
No questions about it. When I bought my 3G nano instead of a 4G one (I had the chance to buy either of them), people told me I was nuts, but I was always sure of my purchase and now, users of 4G nanos, tell me I was always right!
steve jobs ROCKS! He is a lot nicer than the nerd of the Bill Gates, oh and the ipod nano 3g is the best of all! I have one :D

TODAY im ressucitating my Nano 3rd gen, new battery, screen and backplate and working like new! Surprised of how simple it is to sync in a MacBook M1 nowadays using Finder and Music app
what is this feature? i will describe. on my 3G nano. i was in songs and scrolling top to bottom fast and this A appeared in the middle so i can scroll by name but how do i make it appear faster? i always have to scroll top to bottom sometimes 2 times to make it appear. did not know this feature on the nano video
Good for you... But I love radio and I want to have it everywhere I am, sooo... I think I'll buy the iRiver Clix 2. iPod looks way better and scrollwheel is better than pushing edges of the screen, but... no radio and (still) no iTunes Music Store in Poland = buy, buy Apple. Shame...
I think the one thing they need to put in future ipods more than anything is scratch proof backs and screens because i am super anal about scratches on the back which is why i bought a case the day i got my 3g nano i learned from my mistakes lol
cos when he holds the new products in front of his chest, its always best to have a plain background ( black or white), esp when projected at the big screen. U see when he holds the nano, he positioned it right at his chest :P
Where is fm radio? Seriously... I won't buy any iPod until they put a radio option in it. And please, don't tell me about this radio-built-in-expensive-remote-useless-controls-on-too-long-wire. And podcasts aren't the solution!
You got me wrong... Radio isn't only about songs it's also about news, hearings etc. And a radio isn't all I want. What I want is an mp3 player WITH a fm radio. I think it is easy to understand my point.
@danmiddleton7893 just a question , if u put an widescreen movie , will it show as full screen ? ( cause I think if it shows as widescreen , it wont be that good on such a small screen )
Wait, wait, wait. So Apple knew in 2007 that people would want to buy apps (through iTunes of all things) to increase the amount of things they could do with their iPod… but it took them another 2 years to figure that out with their iPhone? That baffles me.
@JOS5190 you are gravely mistaken, sir. I do know that I like the silver/black design a lot... and there were many who purchased the device - including my father. As for your claim that the silver of the 4th/5th gen devices were less popular than the colored models- I see this as an unjustified claim on your part. Do you have hard evidence that shows the sales of the silver nanos of the 4th/5th gens were significantly less than the other colors or previous models?
To be honest, my friends always say "Get an iPod Touch Dude!" and I say NO, you know why? iPod Touch - $300 - $500 to listen to music, and surf the web. you get an iPod mainly for music... right? iPod Nano (3G/4G) - $199 (max) - Music, Video, Photos, no Web, but you have computer don't you? Thats is why I think Nano is better then Touch. Mainly for Price. Don't Bug me about it, if you hate my idea... your problem.. not mine.
*sighs* look i know that i might seem like a hater, but i truly do feel that the 3g is BETTER than the 4g nano....idk it just feels like that the 4g looks like a downgrade. I mean, they got rid of the large screen, which makes it ALOT harder to watch videos, and i liked the beautiful chrome backside. And plus there really isn't much difference between them both. This is just my opinion. And i absolutely love my 3g nano and would not waste 150 bux for a new nano.
