Realized I had a lot to say about one of Apple's newest watch bands introduced this September - the Braided Solo Loop. Made from 100% recycled polyester yarn and silicone, it's an extremely comfortable band with a unique look. But is it worth $100?

Great first review. I do not think you’re being too critical at all especially considering that hefty price tag. Not sure I would have noticed the slight gap but since you called it out, it’s definitely something inconsistent with Apple’s other bands.

Thanks for the video! As I have been wearing Sport Loop for few years and love it, I wonder if the Braised Sport Solo Loop is comfortable during summer. And which one would you pick for summer daily use? Thanks in advance.

Hey there, you’re welcome! I probably wouldn’t recommend the Braided Solo Loop if it’s really hot outside and/or if you will be sweating. Any wetness makes it less comfortable. For summer, I’d recommend a silicone sport-style band like Apple’s or the Nomad Sport Band which I reviewed!

You’re welcome, and thanks for stopping by! Warm water and just a dash of soap should do the trick. I just work it in gently with my hands and wipe it off with drops of water just the same.

I love this band. I want to get it but in the right size! After reading reviews that say to size down one from what the measurement tool tells, I'm considering a size 6, just like you got. Would you care to share your wrist measurement so I can see how it compares to mine? Thanks!

Hi there Justin! Thanks for the question. I have read similar comments about band size if you’re in between sizes. Mine came in at size 6 right on the dot with Apple’s tool, and my wrist measures exactly 16cm. Size 6 has been perfect for me with just the right amount of wiggle room. Hope this helps!

@@OneTechMind Thank you! Hmm, I’m exactly at 17cm... I came in right above 7 on Apple’s tool so figured I should get a size 6 but your wrist is smaller than mine. I guess I’ll just have to get the 6 and hope for the best

Thanks for watching! It’s been rock solid. I stopped wearing it for about a month to switch things up. Just put it back on and it hasn’t shown any signs of stretching.

This is disappointing, I was really looking forward to getting the red braided solo loop with a silver aluminum Apple Watch but now I’m having second thoughts, I absolutely love how Apple’s first party bands sit nice and flush with the watch, and that gap would drive me insane, not sure why they didn’t just embrace the silver lug color and have the lug go all the way to the edge of the band

The colour red look very nice, I have the green. It’s the best band on the market hands down. The alibaba copies are terrible.

I think you’re right. It looks really bad from some angles on your wrist and apply actually advertises the watch as being totally flush on their website. So a watch band at this price point shouldn’t have this issues. Having said that, I just got mine and it feels so perfect to wear (especially for typing) that I’m going to stick with it

They could have coated the metal ends of the band in same red as the watch....

I came specifically to see if your band also had those gaps at the lugs. Seems like a pretty widespread thing with this band. In fact, I don't think I've seen a flush one yet. A shame!

Hey there! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. It's definitely a conscious design choice on Apple's part, as opposed to manufacturing errors or the like. I hope they eventually update the design to be flush. 🤞🏽

The fact that the silver color shows on the sides and edges as well as the lack of a perfect fit with the watch body makes me think twice about getting one. I think I’ll pass, especially with that ridiculous price.

$100 for the leather link seems reasonable because it is real leather and high quality. But after buying this band with my Apple Watch se I do not feel like it is worth $100. Would totally buy another braided solo loop if it was $50.
