All these changes in their doctrines are not worth the suffering and humiliation that many have endured. And this in no way alleviates their sin in the eyes of God.

This was a stellar video. I really got a lot out of it. It just reaffirms my belief that Jehovah’s say how loving they are yet in fact there shunning policy shows just the opposite. I am on the receiving end of their shunning. Painful, cruel & unloving. I joined the Jehovahs Witness religion when I was 18 years old. I repressed for nearly 25 years my sexual and emotional feeling so as not to give away the fact that I might be gay. I couldn’t repress those feelings anymore. I got into my first long term relationship with another man. The elders hunted me down for a year. Long story short I was disfellowshipped at the age of 39. Went straight into alcoholism for 6 years. Fortunately I got help at the age of 45 and became sober. I have been diligent in regularly seeing a excellent therapist. I have now found a new family & wonderful friends who support me and I support them. Thankyou for reading this lengthy commentary. With LOVE, Marty B.

Pure evil to ignore someone you love. We only have to remember the Prodigal Son and the Good Samaritan. Afraid the JWs are based on control and hate nothing like the teaching and example of the Christ.

They are so good at describing themselves perfectly. The entire chapter at Matthew 23 describes the GB very well!

I got df'd 25 years ago but I was fortunate. A few other guys I knew from the JWs also left and we had great times together. One was df'd and because I was hanging out with him I got df'd. Another one got approached by the elders but he threatened their lives so they left him alone. His parents still shunned him and he ended up taking his life, while engaged to a really great girl, because he couldn't take it anymore. I was fortunate in that my parents called me the day the announcement was made and told me nothing was going to change, and nothing did. Dad even listened to my "doubts" and problems with Watchtower teachings. I cannot imagine what it's like for family to treat you like you're worse than dead just because you disagree with a religion's ideas.

In my experience I was disfelloshiped on totally flimsy and uncriptually grounds, I remained in that condition for more than seven years...after a family 👪 tragedy ensued I finally took my mother's advice and communicated with a high ranking society official. The wheels were then very quickly put in motion for my reinstatement after more than seven years. Back in the late 70's what you have brought forward in this installment was introduced(the five months rule) of 1st and 2nd Corinthians. It took a death to move them to action...the blood guilt is on their hands, and as the scripture says '...I shall ask back the blood of all the slain ones...'

WT leadership doesn’t do anything without a self serving motivation. I’ve seen the GB bend their own rules when necessary. For instance, there used to be the requirement for a DFd person to be reinstated at least two years before qualifying for special privileges, such as WT Bethel assignments. Well, on several projects we asked for extra leniency because of needing specialized video, computer, or building trades skills. Usually the GB would grant exceptions. In fact, in at least one specific case, they expedited the reinstatement of a guy who was still awaiting confirmation by his local BoE.

I myself have been expulsed for 10 years. My wife and I being above average educated in the scriptures talked about this for years. I never wanted to return because I said they are not shepherds but judges. The most interesting thing is that my wife accepted a bible study by a sister, just because she wanted to understand their viewpoint. The only argument they could make is that it is a loving provision. My wife asked in what manner: show me what kind of love in Corinthians you are talking about. The bible study ended after one day I walked out of the door when the 2 sisters approached our house and totally ignored me, but talked to my 1 year old. Now my wife send her a message: does this new light mean that the woman from Babylon the great was right all along? They will never take responsibility for their brutal mistakes!

Anymore I just can’t handle hearing ‘governing body’ members give talks. It feels toxic. So I appreciate so much the exJW video presenters explaining what is going on without having to personally see and listen to them myself! It really does feel toxic.

I was raised in “The Truth. But left when I was old enough to think for myself. Anytime someone was shunned or disfellowshiped, they were treated like they had a disease. Their own families were encouraged to stay away from them. Very unloving indeed!

Right on brother Wilson! Your use of this scripture was part of my defense and counsel to the service department of the Watchtower, NY,...the governing body, and the local elders who kicked me out of the congregation over their own personal opinions of what constitutes a compromise of "neutrality". The word "neutrality" is not even found in the Bible as you know; much less clearly defined! As a former elder myself I appealed for reinstatement after 6 months. Was turned down and told, "not enough time had elapsed". Really????? So they set themselves up as judges of my heart; slandered my good name because their own "biased leaning" took precedence over scripture; and apparently were following the words of the branch office stating somewhere in their manual, I guess, that at least a year needs to pass before considering reinstatement!????!! (1 Tim. 5: 21 ) When I was an elder; we were asked to allow at least 90 days before considering an appeal to reinstate. But even that policy finds no basis in scripture as you well know. At least 2 accounts of well known immoral women in Jesus' time, were provided in Matthew and John's gospel books. One in John 8: 1-12 of a woman the pharisees wanted to stone to death; whom Jesus IMMEDIATELY FORGAVE HER and exhorted her to "sin no more"! That was the extent of the only recorded "judicial meeting" in the Bible that I can recall! Then there's the account of another woman who came to wash his feet while dining with an "apostate" pharisee!😆🤣(I love to read that one for 3 reasons: 1. Jesus perceived her remorseful heart, and 2. he forgave her then and there; and 3. he was "eating" with a man who "denied the Christ" up until that moment at least. A man who fit the description of 2 John 7-11; a chief text JW's use to reason away their shunning policies!!😂😆 Did Jehovah tell King David he would have to wait at least a year before He forgave him? Did Jehovah ask the entire jewish court , priests, levites, and David's family to shun him for at least a year before He would forgive him? Did Jehovah disfellowship Aaron the high priest and spokesman for him in Moses' day for his complicity in the building of a golden calf idol? What about Jesus when he was denied by Peter 3 times on the night of his arrest?? Did Jesus' tell Peter he would have to wait at least a year before he would consider forgiving him??? ARE YOU FRICKIN' KIDDING US;... GOVERNING BODY AND JW ELDERS? Pull your heads out of your butt, and do as the apostle Paul exhorted: " ....look intently at the Chief agent of Life, and the Perfecter of our faith, Jesus Christ. (Hebrews 12: 2 ) Start following HIM, and not yourselves!! Sorry brother Eric for my occasional rants here! But your talks are the most appropriate and scripture based on You Tube. The Holy Spirit is not a time keeper. You should not be disfellowshipped for a “certain amount of time”. And the fact that you have to sit on your bed feeling guilty of your “sin”, is in itself repentance. You shouldn’t have to tell them what your sin was or even admit you feel guilty to them. You’ve done that already in secret. How it SHOULD be run is for you to tell the brothers that you prayed to God of your sin and he answered. That’s it. They are in no position to punish. And if they get to choose who gets disfellowshipped, who is repentant or not, means they are claiming to be ABOVE the Holy Spirit.

I said this on another video, but tigers don’t change stripes, they just change how they hunt once their hunting grounds have been discovered. Once again, we see the organization placing blame on its members for how DF’d ones were treated, pretending as if this wasn’t their policy. We know y they are doing this. Nothing changes about this religion or its leaders: They may try to rebrand itself as this loving, come as u r religion mimicking those “false religions” of Christendom they so despised, but at its core it’s still deceptive, and unaccountable for their actions. What a slap to the face of Elders following THEIR directions, & those who were harmed as DF’d ones by these directions. BUT, I’m sure the Elders were only following their “Bible trained” conscience. Notice that after only three months or so, and having had no contact with the man, he knew he was repentant. How? Must have been God's Holy Spirit informing him. However, search the "Shepherd the Flock" book as they may for Watchtower's wisdom, there is no way any elder has a hope in hell of accurately judging the heart to discern repentance of some potential victim of injustice at a judicial committee, assuming he was guilty of a sin in the first place. The relevant scriptures don't actually say whether he was repentant or not if I remember rightly, do they?

Even as l little boy I would always tell my mom that…it’s hard for me to understand how a GOD who is so loving would just turn his back on a child that was sick spiritually…l read the Bible…and the GOD that l knew and loved is not that person!…he isn’t…it doesn’t make sense…mom?…would you ever turn your back on me if I were sick?…if l had the flu? NO! Ok so why would Jehovah? Doesn’t he love me as much as you do? Even as a child I knew it didn’t make sense! But they didn’t see or understand “Jehovah’s mercy” until 2024? Maybe GOD doesn’t love you as much as you think…because he reveals his truth to those whom he loves!

Hands down and arms raised......disfellowshipping is not loving. The harm and the reverberations of harm to family, friends and all other relationships cannot be ignored. How many ex-JWs return to a faith that expelled them in this cruel way.....when the purpose was to point out their wrong and attempt to keep the faithful 'pure'. Jehovah would not approve.....being loving is the way of Jehovah. There are more loving ways to handle those who are diverging from the flock. If your God is not one of love.......then your God offers nothing more than any human could offer. Love applies to everything and supersedes any law or rule. Love is what you do.

For decades JWs would follow John 2:10 and "not even greet him." Now they throw that scripture away and say to greet him... but THEN SHUN him! "What the...?" Lol "To greet or not to greet before shunning," that is the question. ;-) PS: Lawyers were involved in both decisions. Hayden C. Covington (one of the JW's “other sheep,”) was the Watchtower Attorney and Vice President of the Watchtower Society from 1942 to 1945, about the time "disfellowshipping" began. Harold, was King David disfellowshipped or put to death for his sin of adultery and his part in murder? No! Was he cast out? No! Why not Harold? Because Jehovah can see into a persons heart and soul and He recognised genuine heartfelt repentance and grief, something men can’t see. Yes there are serious consequences for our actions and non repentance, however, why not try and be kind and merciful to all and show some humanity, we all have a judgement day coming!

I love your insight on the organization. However I take a different view on the church discipline or disfellowshipping in 1 Cor. The scripture NEVER said he repented just like the prodigal son. The church was following Jesus footsteps not Paul commands. He was still there just maybe because they tired to work with that man and the others involved. Jesus instructions were to have those deal with the problem. Not the church. Paul must have a moment to reflect and instruct the church to reinstate this man without any reservation. I have more to add, but I think you get my point.

Before you become a JW: Jesus said His yoke is kindly, and His load was light. It was the governing body of His day that was harsh and unloving. It was the scribes and pharisees, the Sanhedrin who loaded the people down with their man made rules. Does that remind us of any self proclaimed governing body of men today? Jehovah’s Witnesses say that an interested person needs to make an informed decision by studying the bible, and then decide if they want to be one. One of what exactly? A Christian or a JW? And I would add that they need to study the origins of the bible, it’s many manuscripts, translators and translations first, and then the origins of JW theology: How many elders for example, let alone bible students know the truth about the origins of disfellowshipping, disassociation, blood, the true identity of the other sheep, 1914, CSA, how the GB affiliated themselves with the UN for 10 years, but prohibited the witnesses in Malawi 18 years earlier to carry a party political card, resulting in the death and torture of thousands! The expedient truth behind the identity change of the FDS. Russell’s trips to Egypt with his tape measure. His teaching that organization is to be avoided at all costs. The real reason Rutherford and co went to jail in WW1. Rutherford’s correspondence to Hitler. His mansion at Beth-Sarim. His addition to the good news by his teaching of two hopes derived from hearing angels speaking to him inside his head! His own admission that he made an ass of himself! Olin R. Moyle. When discussing being ambassadors for Christ, they made the addition of the word substituting to the Holy scriptures. Being chosen as the FDS in 1919 whilst teaching demonistic pyramidology. That there is a clergy hierarchy in JW’s, and we are not all brothers. Millions Now Living Will Never Die! The misery caused because they didn’t know the correct understanding of Porneia until the early 1970’s, and had to get the information from clergyman who did know from well before Russell’s time. The truth about Raymond Franz. They teach young children that they don’t have to apologise for their mistakes. That Jehovah’s Witness baptism is not made in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, but into the organization of JW’s. And that the verse in Matthew 28:19 was likely added to and should read in the name of Jesus! The complete changing of the wording of Matthew 11:11,12, and therefore, God will keep His promise to include righteous men and women in His promised kingdom of priests. That the GB teach salvation by obedience to them! That Jesus told Christians not to go from house to house! Luke 10:7. That nowhere in the scriptures does it tell Christians to go from door to door. That the GB teach that “only Jehovah’s Witnesses......have any Scriptural hope of surviving the impending end of this doomed system dominated by Satan the Devil.” How the GB lobby political elements of Satan’s world, whilst claiming they do not, and at the same time have publicly displayed a yearning to get to heaven and fight as Samuel Herd said, and destroy those on earth they view as wicked. “Yeah! That they don’t understand the difference between apostasy and heresy. Vows of poverty, and the misuse of money, when all excess funds should go to those “in the poor range” as Anthony Morris the III said! How they have often said that God has preserved His word down to our day, but not His name in the Christian Greek scriptures. The insulting abuse of the wisdom of God in talking about the light getter ever brighter as applying to the manner in which the Almighty imparts understanding, when the verses are in fact a lesson in being wise. That little babies are enemies of God! How many rank and file witnesses know the origins of their own religion? That JW”s sprang from the Millerite movement of the mid 19th century, and the later Adventist’s! All of whom now are considered by their governing body as part of false religion! CT Russell once said that God has seen to it that true worship has always existed on earth. So why didn’t he join it? All of the above should be included in an interested persons bible study, particularly the children of JW parents, otherwise their children are not making an informed decision either. They won’t understand what will happen to them, if they one day learn the truth of the above, and want to leave!

Unless I have missed something very fundamental along the way. It appears, as there is no third way, that the GB, denying access to the brothers to be children of God, can only offer, as it were theirs to offer, a place in the second resurrection? So why go through all of this suffering as a Jw to gain a second resurrection, when God offers you that anyway? Bearing in mind that man cannot save himself, this makes their preaching work and lives futile. This organisation is working against God for Satan, by making their preaching work invalid, because surely the object of such work is to find those would be children of God? So why do they not realise this? Because as you say, Satan is blinding them.

Paul never said that the man repented in 2 Corinthians. The words of Matthew 5: 43-48 tells us why the man should not be shunned. I have not ever read that the man repented. Maybe someone can show or explain it to me.

Harry Corkern served as CO in a former congregation I attended. I find it repulsive that he is giving this talk. The very harmful things he mentioned was exactly how he and the rest of body of Elders treated reinstated people. UNFORGIVING. He was a cold and distant COMPANY man then, and apparently, he still is. 💔🤦🏽‍♀️
