Blood brothers is in my opinion the best ending. Sean doesn't go to jail for something he didn't do and Daniel doesn't get adopted. They don't get separated. They are free. They are together. They are with each other in their new beach house in Puerto Lobos in Mexico. They are family. They are brothers and they need to be together. Free, that's why blood brothers is the best ending. They finally get to live in peace, together.

This is the ending I got and i liked it. After looking at all the other endings afterwards, I personally like the blood brothers the best. I also thought Sean and Daniel grew up well and look the best in it. I choose my choices throughout the game based on what I would do, hoping to get both Daniel and Sean safely to mexico so I was happy to get this end. I guess I must have "low morality". I just stole the camping gear and got Daniel to kill Lisabeth, didn't kill the police officers in the prison but got daniel to kill the ones at the border. I also kicked that dude kidnapped Sean, but disagreed with stealing from the weed farm and still got the ending. I also used Daniels powers a lot

idc about the low morality tbh, the society failed them at first, like killing their father, if that was me i'd do the same thing.

I would argue that robbing Merrill was not of criminal nature because he committed wage theft and thus they were owed the money in the first place. You can't "steal" what is already rightfully yours. If Merrill hadn't "cancelled pay day", then it would be different.

great analysis, but there is one thing I would like to point out. I'm not actually convinced that Daniel killed all those cops. you see, in the lone wolf ending, there is a newspaper article shown about a "massacre at the border". however, in this ending, that article is conspicuously absent. I think that is an important detail. it makes sense too. in this version, daniel has the full support of his brother so it makes sense that he has much better control over his power and thus he is capable of knocking them out without killing them. without his brother's support, however, daniel is a loose cannon firing indiscriminately. he just isnt good enough to spare any focus on being careful at the same time when he's also dealing with his own brothers resistance and probably hasnt had the same kind of support from his brother while developing his abilities. it takes all of his focus just to keep them alive, and even then he fails. so everyone dies in that ending. but not in this one. and had even a few of those cops died, you can bet the media would've painted it as a massacre. dont get me wrong, I'm not saying that some of those cops didnt spend a lot of time in a hospital, and frankly some of them were probably permanently disabled, but I think its safe to say that they all made it.

i wish this was the case but it’s not true. we know that officer matthew’s (the cop in the very beginning who killed their father) died because sean looks at an article from the cops sister saying that he had died and he was only a cop for 6 months at the time that happened.

just played lis 2 for the first time and got this ending - i didn't kill the cougar or chris or lisbeth or honestly anyone when it was in my control - i stole and i let dsniel swear and i agreed to the heist but never once in my playthrough did i go out of my way to be cruel or harmful to others - it's part of the reason im not overly fond of the idea that this is 'low morality' it's survival and prioritizing your loved ones, i like how you put it as 'chaotic neutral' anyway after watching all the other endings i can easily say blood brothers is the only one that feels truly satisfying and complete to me

you worded what I thought about this ending perfectly. and I still do believe this is the best ending. I did kill the cougar and accept the heist last second because I knew we were in too deep, and it didn't matter anymore. I didn't kill Merrill or Lisbeth and got this ending, and it's my favorite of all. people say in redemption Daniel gets a normal life, but Sean was still 16, and he also deserves a good life and 15 years was utterly brutal, so fuck that ending, he clearly is broken in it too. I think blood brothers offer the best balance of them being happy and not sacrificing too much. parting ways is second best.

Really well done video! Blood brothers is my favourite ending because they stay together drinking beer on the beach of Mexico. To me that seems like a happy ending. Also I have a question. Do you think the woman at 21:40 is Cassidy? She kinda looks like her. Cassidy also had a dog just like the one on the paper if you look at episode 2 and episode 3. So if she is Cassidy, it means they met her again at some point after episode 5.

in my opinion, this is the best ending for me anyways. they reached their initial goal: go to Puerto lobos, Mexico. they are together, free, no sacrifice or exchange needed. Sean didn't die, Daniel isn't alone, they are stronger together. they can live in peace, safely. they have lots of money, they adapted to the world around them and the things they faced, for survival. left their old life behind, but are free to visit the people who were once in it again one day. this is the only ending i was most satisfied with, and i felt as if my teachings to Daniel and actions paid off.
@rjdbah

Stop me oh is also studying Law. I like your arguments on this matter. In my opinion the Wolf Brothers are victims of circumstances. The world around them and the racism they faced directed their path. They both had little to no opportunities to deviate and was almost forced to the actions which followed. Sean and Daniel paid the price for their fathers death. Plain and simple. Their childhood robbed of them and their father taken. They needed to survive. From the very beginning the boys were considered criminals not victims. Never once was it even mentioned that the boys might have been kidnapped. They were labeled as cop killers and hunted accordingly. Even Stamper was made to look like a victim, his actions never questined. Like Finn who some say loved Sean, yet betrayed him and stabbed him in his back for selfish reasons and Ultimately cause Sean to loose an eye, not Daniel, Finn caused it. Sean paid the price all throughout the game. No wonder he finally broke down after being released from prison. Me and Sean are so much alike.

I like how all the endings are good and bad based on your perspective. They all have good parts, and a sacrifice. It's about what you believe is the best sacrifice for you to take. And you can hear the arguments other people have for their favorite ending and understand them without having to agree with them. I would say that my favorite ending is either Redemption or Parting Ways, I'm still not even sure which one is the best in my eyes. But a big part of it is Daniel is in Beaver Creek. He gets to stay with the people he met along the way in his journey, with Chris and the Reynolds. And it's possible and even implied that he keeps in contact with people he met along the way. It's shown at the very least he's visited Away again and talked to Karen at least once. Who's to say he didn't continue to play Minecraft and stuff with his old friends like Noah on the Playbox we see in the Reynolds' house in Parting Ways? He gets to have a normal childhood in a nice small town where he has at least one good friend in the form of Chris, and he'll probably be friends with Chris' other friends too as well as maybe reconnecting with old friends. Not to mention the fact Chris probably benefits from being with Daniel as much as Daniel benefits being with Chris. He doesn't worry about having to survive or resort to crime like they did on their journey. That is what Sean wanted for Daniel, what Daniel wanted for himself, and what Esteban would have wanted. Then there's the question of what happens to Sean. If he goes to jail, he loses 15 years of his life, but he still at least has Daniel visit him sometimes. In the cutscene you see a picture of Daniel visiting and I doubt he was only allowed 1 visit in the 15 years. Then after the 15 years, he gets to go back to "normal" and live without being a criminal in the eys of the law. But the more I think about it, does that even matter? Based on the pictures he sends to Daniel, he's enjoying his time in Mexico, and that's what he spent the whole time trying to reach. It's what he wanted. And I'll probably do further analysis on this, but to me, based on what I've seen and understood, Daniel doesn't want to go to Mexico. He only goes in the endings he does because he wants to be with Sean. There are a few points in the journey he can question Sean on why he cares so much about getting there, and may even out right say "fuck puerto lobos". So I guess Parting Ways is the best ending. As much as the brothers longed to be together, what they want and what's best for them are just different. Daniel wants to just be a normal kid in America and Sean wants to go to Mexico.
@ikindoflikemangoes4951
@ikindoflikemangoes4951 2 года назад
I agree with this, in the scene in Blood Brothers where they are sitting on the beach it kind of looks like Daniel isn’t happy there at all, I think Parting ways is the best since Sean is happy in Mexico and Daniel is happy at his grandparents home. The only sacrifice is that they’re not together but they still keep in touch through letters and stuff I’m guessing. Not to mention that Sean is able to cross without Daniel killing anyone
@autumnyte

Great video! I'm definitely persuaded by your arguments about their motives and rationale for doing the things they did. Another factor which I think points to them not necessarily having a criminal nature, especially Daniel, is their ages. 10 year olds can't be prosecuted for crimes in most of the US precisely because they are not viewed as old enough to really grasp the fundamentals of criminal actions and consequences. To a lesser extent, that is true of 16-year-olds as well. They can be held accountable bu are typically not prosecuted on the same level as an adult. The main thing that leaves a bad taste in my mouth with the low-morality playthrough is not actually about any of the crimes, but rather, the concerning lack of empathy in Daniel that seems to emerge. The scene with him torturing the scorpion is almost sociopathic. And his complete lack of care about whether he might have killed Officer Campell makes me shudder. But he is still young at that point, so I have to imagine that maybe he rebuilds some empathy as he gets older and things calm down. At least he doesn't seem to delight in torturing the gangsters in BB the way he does in LW. One thing I thought was interesting about your choice of visuals was that you used the high-morality versions of both the heist and confrontation with Lisbeth. I thought maybe it was a way to demonstrate that their moral compass can remain fairly high right up until the end if you choose various options accordingly, but I'd love to hear what your thinking was. Thanks for making and sharing this, it gave me a lot to think about!

I think for sure Daniel was scared and angry at the police station. I mean he'd just been shot and probably was disoriented and confused as well. And even with the scorpion I think a part of him is still trying to puzzle out his powers and where the line is for using them. And here I thought your choice of footage was a brilliant and intentional commentary on the fine line between right and wrong. :D Wonderfully done.

Great video! I just got this ending and I needed something like this to sort out my feelings. It made me sick to see Daniel kill so many people but the cops just made things worse. Daniel started out using non-lethal force and their response when faced with something they didn't understand was to obliterate it with a storm of lead. Even if they had succeeded they would have had to explain to the public why they mowed down an unarmed adorable moppet.

Are Sean and Daniel criminals? Sean commits battery in self-defense (Not guilty) Cop: Applies disproportional force (Nice payout if sued) Seattle explosion: Daniel commits manslaughter. But he is underage, no ill intentions and somehow self-defence, so cool for now. Fleeing a crime scene, get's tricky That old dude who held them in his backroom, that was false imprisonment, so his death is still self-defence. Squatting in a caban with dog: Missdeminor, not criminal Sean and Daniel actually don't comit any actual crime is when they start making drugs with Cas and Finn. That's why I don't really like that chapter. With a good lawyer, Sean and Daniel could have gotten aquitted on all charges, while getting a sweet payout from Seattle PD up to that point. @SQUAREENIX, Give us a Lawyer ending!!!! Like you just stay at the crime scene and duke it out in court :D

There's no indication that Sean and Daniel became criminals in the blood brothers ending, that newspaper you saw clipped to the board must have been something that's happening in Mexico. Mind you that they can't have access to the internet to avoid being tracked down so they rely on newspaper or television to keep up what's happening in the world. This is personally my favorite ending of all because the two brothers are together, finally free from the United States law (although I'm aware that the US has an extradition treaty with Mexico but I don't think Mexico could comply or maybe the game's in-universe doesn't have an extradition law at all and that's how they survived six years). Most people said that the brothers, particularly Daniel, doesn't look too happy in this ending but if you put yourself in their shoes, of course they're not gonna be too happy after all the trauma the brothers went through and the guilts of leaving their families and friends behind, knowing that life must move forward and they can't stay in the United States for that long. But they're trying to live an idyllic life in Mexico as they should. The life they once have back in America is all gone and robbed because of the US polices that falsely accused them of a crime they didn't commit. Knowing what the system will do to them, they don't want to face that. That's why I raised my Daniel with low morality to keep using his power for survival because fuck the rules, the cop killed their dad and it's payback for what they did to ruin the brothers life. I hope they make a comic that continues Sean and Daniel's adventures in that "Blood Brothers" timeline similar to Lis : Sacrifice Arcadia Bay comic where they focused on Max and Chloe's adventures.

I like to think that Flores was just knocked out, not killed. What if Sean told Daniel to leave Detective Flores alone but get rid of everyone else? Then Sean could have gotten out of the car and said something like "see, this is what I mean by it's complicated." She'd see that Daniel has powers, and she'd understand that Sean didn't kill the cop. Flores said that she could help Sean better if she knew as much of the truth as possible. I truly believe that if they talked after Daniel incapacitated everyone else, she may have been able to figure out a way to keep Sean out of prison, the brothers together, and let them stay in America and finish their schooling. At the very, very least, I think she would have told them to go to Mexico but keep in contact while she thought of a way to help them.

Well, this is the kind of life that the brothers in Puerto Lobos lead millions of poor people in America and billions in the main world. They survive without hope for the state, insurance or the police, relying only on the love and help of their loved ones. This is what is the norm for them. Yes, Daniel sacrificed his ideal childhood to Sean, but was it so happy without Sean? Playing a game console, eating pizza, hanging out with a friends and whining to ancestors about school is common childish selfishness, but if the essence of the game is in Daniel's growing up, then this is a bad choice for him. It looks like Daniel's betrayal of Sean. In the "best" ending, Sean has to settle in Mexico alone, without his brother's support. Not even support for his superpower, but simply his brotherly love and understanding that he is doing all this for the sake of Daniel, because it was this thought that guided him through all his suffering.

I'm gonna try a playthrough withought kicking and stealing and see if I still get blood brothers, So I guess his only actually crimes would be fleeing a crime scene? (from a cop with a loaded gun who just shot his father who was clearly trigger happy after a dangerous event where no one knew what happened and could easily make the case staying in said area where he was knocked uncounsiouse could of easily lead to his own death and that I went to my granparents for saftity and security not knowing me and my brother would be blammed for what happaned) Legit I could delete that entire first crime that starts the game in a court case. "why would I stay in a clearly dangerous and hostile area with a injured 9 year old withought getting him to a safe area" you could make the case of "endangering a child" but you can also make a case of saving there life and your own and "going to your grandparents" actually seems like a normal thing to do since they are your next immediate family. like the only thing that really cant be justified like at all and is 100% a down right criminal act (exluding the border which at that point its Daniel doing that not Sean) but the only real true crime here is grand theft auto........

Regarding Merrill- even though it's not something I would personally do in real life, because he refused to pay everyone the money they worked for, that they earned, it's understandable why they would want access to it by breaking the safe.. but for some reason, that's not Finn's logic for doing it.. but it would have made more sense. For some odd reason, I feel this uncomfortable feeling in my heart whenever I think about the Blood Brothers ending. They had reached their goal, and had gotten what they wanted, but at what cost? If Sean from before the Seattle incident had the chance to meet Sean in Blood Brothers, I feel like the younger Sean would be disappointed to an extent. Obviously, they did what they thought they had to in order to get to Puerto Lobos, but they had to sacrifice, like you mentioned, their innocence. I can't imagine they would have chances to fully heal from their trauma, and it hurts to see that they are possibly running around still trying to get by. I'm conflicted nonetheless. It would be disgraceful to call them evil in this ending, because that's not who they are. But, I argue that Daniel seems unhappy and angry, which I get but he seems much more at peace in high morality endings. Sean seems a tad more ... hmm I can't find the right wording but just .... less innocent. Which, if I'm being honest, I like that Sean more than I like redemption Sean. but yea, that's just how I feel abt Blood Brothers :) p.s. Sean is hawt

I disagree . The moment that cop was killed ,was the moment Daniel lost his innocence.NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU AVOID HIM KILLING ANYTHING THE fact is he ALREADY SHED BLOOD WITH THE first COP.So why should Sean be punished for something he didn’t do and was out of their control . I’m my synopsis I believe the game portrayed how poorly people treated them in America how they were looked down and racially profiled . I believed under their circumstances and weird fate with Daniels powers this is the best outcome ,they both have each other and love each other .and like broady said “there’s lonely and being alone “ and all the other endings have them separated and alone for a certain amount of time .

So yes you can do no harm and not steal to get this ending. What i did instead was all the nice side things in episode 1 in the woods. And in all other episodes never repremanded him for using his powers and always let him use them. That usually causes raise in brotherhood lower morality. I always agree to the heist now seeing as im forced to do it anyways. So its possible.

I got blood brothers on my 1st and currently only run. I also simply asked Daniel to move Lisbeth out of the way, while getting blood brothers and Karen took responsibility for burning the church anyways. We could actually most likely explain to the police if we show them daniels powers. so Id most likely just be charged with grand theft auto tbh...… and maybe assaualt and stealing even tho he kidnaped me and hurt me so wed charge each other (depending on state and whos believed so might be a losing situation hispanic vs american) but hay with 1,400,34 "grand theft auto" seems like a easy ticket to pay if not just like 4 to 5 years in prision. I just realized out of my whole playthrough I got blood brothers and only people who died were literally right at the border. so Your telling me this whole situation could of went 10000% better...…..

Great video brother. Hope you will make more videos on life strange 2. I have a question from you ? Where does Sean goes in the end of the redemption ending because we see Daniel crying in the car. And do you think the brothers are happy together in Mexico ??
@CucuOnGames

I think in Redemption, Sean is going to travel - he drives away southbound, and I think he's going to travel the country as a free man - a bit like Brody. I do think they're happy together in Mexico - obviously life's not perfect, but nothing ever is. I like to think they're happy :)

to catch the ending of blood brother, it is not necessary to KILL Lisbth!! You have to steal Hank and Steal Merryll. doing so already wins the end Blood Brothers! Because that's what I did to have my ending! And honestly loved it! I would be depressed if I got another ending for my actions... because I was only thinking of Daniel and Sean! I would never surrender and leave Sean unjustly imprisoned!! NEVER!

SerratedCucumber cool will you be doing videos going more in depth for the other endings? and/ Or on other LIS 2 stuff? My favourites are Blood brothers and Redemption I think I can guess worst part of what makes this game so amazing is how much is up for discussion what the best to worst endings for example depends on the person there is plenty to debate about this game

@@4everanarsenalfan I definitely want to make one of these videos for each ending, for example, I could end up making: Should Sean have gone to jail for 15 years? Will Sean and Daniel ever meet again in Parting Ways? What happened to Lone Wolf Daniel after Sean died?

@@CucuOnGames definiyly b interested in seeig all of those in order of personal preference LW , PW , Redemption my opinions are redemtion- i don't know enough about american law to given ana answer PW: I really doubt it if you don't know the ankle monitor Daniel has is in case he ever tries to find Sean in Mexico however the in the game we always had the big wolf chasing the little one in PW Daniel has carved the little wolf chasing the big one this gives me some small hope that if it removed or he finds a way to have it removed without the fbi being altered he'll try and find Sean LW: he's forced to leave Sean in the car after trying to find thier farthers old place he turns to crime to survive as the loss of Sean means he no longer cares

I didn't like this ending. They weren't exactly criminals in my eyes, but it seemed underwhelming. As proven in Parting Ways, Daniel doesn't even want to go to Mexico, he wants to stay in America, which is entirely possible. Daniel doesn't even speak Spanish when they first get to Mexico so I'd say about nine months to a year was lost for Daniel going to school, making friends and doing other stuff a ten year old boy should be doing, because of a language barrier. It only seemed a good ending for Sean as he was the only one, not only comfortable with this, but happy with this. He knows the language so life is made so much easier for him down there just because of that. He was most probably told stories of Puerto Lobos by Esteban whereas Daniel most likely wasn't, so Sean felt more of a connection to it. That's just speculation on my part though.

there's no really any happy or entirely good endings to this but hes only 10 he does learn the language later on, i dont think the language thing is that big of a problem compared to everything they went through together, i feel like separating them is kinda harsh since the only thing they have is eachother

"As the parting ways show" PW show that highly moral Daniel doesn't want to go to Mexico. "Blood Brothers" will show that Daniel wants to be with his brother and wants to go to Mexico. That's why he agrees to hurt people at the border (Unlike his high moral equivalent). And the other ending shows that he wanted to go to Mexico even more than his brother ("You told me! We're going to Mexico!") and he gets to Puerto Lobos even without him. Please don't view the game only from high-moral Daniel perspective. This Daniel and the low-moral Daniel are different characters with different worldviews. I'm sorry to write after two years. And i'm sure Sean teached Daniel spanish

i would think the answer is obvious, any human would do what they did. it was never their fault to begin with, blaming them isn’t fair. against law, but morals come first when it’s the time and place

This was a great analysis :) I feel like most people go with Blood Brothers as their favorite ending because they're both together, however you can tell Daniel isn't happy in Mexico, which is why Parting Ways is my favorite. What I think is most brilliant about this game is its multifaceted approach toward both racism and brotherhood. Their family situation is undeniably complicated, and I feel it got to the point where Sean's desire for them both to stay together became toxic in a way (and drove a lot of his necessary criminal actions). Daniel made it clear he never wanted to go to Puerto Lobos, so Parting Ways is the first time he makes a decision that's best for himself over Sean's greed. Ultimately if they stay together, they're still living as criminals in Puerto Lobos because Sean's still looking out for Daniel, but when they're apart, Sean is happier in Mexico because he no longer has that parental responsibility forced on him.

Or there should be a alternate ending where Daniel spends 15 years in jail for murdering the cop and being a total brat to Sean all the journeys way alto I think the blood brothers would be the best outcome.. Imo because of Daniel fuckup this whole mess started

I'm in mid-video but I'll go ahead and help on the legal justification for the slaughter at the border - there isn't any. Absolutely none. There isn't a theory of justified use of deadly force that exists... certainly not in any jurisdiction under which they actions would fall and to my knowledge not anywhere in the entire Anglo-legal tradition. The majority 'emotional disturbance'/'crime of passion' mitigation from murder to manslaughter doesn't apply to that event in the least. Not in the least. It would have applied to the cop in Ep 1, but not on unrelated officers 10 months later and 1200 miles away. Nor are they in the throes of any sort of blinding passion when they do it. It's a cold and dispassionate choice by both, they are fully capable of discerning the difference between right and wrong. I think you are misunderstanding the "squatters rights" premise, at least in American law. Basically that's an argument of taking by adverse possession, but in most rules that has to be continuous for *years* in order to take title, and courts actively seek out excuses not to reward it. In the interim, it's still not legal to be there, it's still trespass. The "private necessity" argument might work to break in to dress a deadly wound, but not to move in for weeks. About Lisbeth - the general JDF defense rule is that to be justified, the decedent must have created in the defendant A) a reasonable fear that B) they pose an imminent threat of C) death or grievous bodily injury, but further, D) deadly force must be the required force to end the threat. "reasonable" means it's not wholly subjective; "imminent" as applied means "not in an hour, not next week, not in 5 minutes, you will die right exactly now if you don't act". The threat to them of burning to death hits for A/B/C... but (D) my man. Deadly force isn't their only option to end the threat, which is a demonstrated fact from other determinant versions. The defense fails. At the border... you are frankly misrepresenting the cut-scene. Daniel doesn't get out of the car in "fear", Sean doesn't make the decision in "fear". If anything, both are confident and fairly brazen. What's also pretty important is that JDF doesn't even come up in the course of criminal activity. I'm one of - if not the - loudest critics of LIS 2's legal writing quality and think it's kind of comical the things that the game thinks they could or would be convicted of (and the next person to make a *legal* argument to the contrary will be the first; all counter-arguments are "well they'll be convicted because racism"). Nor do lawyers appear to exist in the LIS-verse. And apparently the fact that Sean could be a witness against a pretty sizeable criminal enterprise doesn't help him. Stuff like that is just garbage. But there just isn't a way to justify pretty cool and confident slaughter to cross the border. They didn't satisfy even a single element of the JDF defense. Robbing thieves is still robbing; most criminals commit crimes against other criminals. It's drug dealers that get murdered by each other, after all. So the fact that it's a gang that they robbed is absolutely irrelevant to it's criminality.

They´re technically criminals but his acts haven´t a criminal nature. Daniel only in the low morality endings because he´s 2 young 2 be proescuted in the moment of the playable part of the game. The police did the right thing shooting 2 incapacitate, whetever kill or not Daniel as a result because there´s a treat 2 their lifes and should be confronted with deadly force
