I'm so sorry for your struggles but so happy you both are doing well. I've missed you and am so excited to see you again. Pls share everything and anything. As a couple, you are both inspiring and just lovely to watch. The love you feel for one another is so palpable and that too is so beautiful to witness. Thank you for being here!! 😊
Hi Angelo, glad to see you two doing well; From my perspective, your initial videos were very helpful based on factual and experimental data you were providing. Personally, I found your channel to be the best and full of factual data on the path of Ketogenic. After 4 years of this life style, I must say, Ketogenic can be very complex topic to talk about, as it behaves differently on every single person and more importantly if they have other medical issues, i.e. being a Diabetic (1 or 2). A normal person may react totally different when their blood sugar is very low, compared to a T2D person. And because of this, each individual must experiment Ketogenic according to their body. The second thing that I learned, was that, Ketogenic, comprises of two different processes. One lowering carbs intake and secondly long hours fasting like 18/6 or One meal a day. Combining these two, gives you the best result than only doing one. The root of Ketogenic, is to keep the insulin level low and fairly leveled, for the liver to kick into ketogenic state. And to keep the insulin level low, you need BOTH low carbs diet and fasting. So, I'm tankful to this channel as it taught me these important principals. Thank you Angelo;
Ben, it's so good to hear from you! Thank you for the kind words, reading that made me very happy. I agree, everyone needs to adapt their diet to his/her needs. It's great that you found what works best for you! Personally, I still do better with more than one meal a day (usually two), while still enjoying intermittent fasting most days of the week. I'm thankful for all of our interactions over the years, Ben. Thank you for still being here and please take good care of yourself.
Thank you for sharing your health with us. I have been on keto for a year and half. I would be in a lot of pain after I would eat ( before keto) my pain has eased up after I started keto. The pain went away. But the last few months I got off track and the pain came back. It’s been hard getting back on keto again but my pain is easing up so this is my way of life now. And I’m glad of it. Thank y’all again. God bless y’all
I would LOVE to see future videos on minimalism, stoicism, frugal living, and of course your keto/carnivore lifestyle as well. It sounds like you had a difficult year, but I'm glad you are doing well now. I'm excited to see more videos when you are ready to make them! Be well! :-D
Welcome back, guys! I'm sorry for all the health issues that you went through Zsofi, but happy you are doing better now. Yes it would be great to get more video's from you both on all topics mentioned. I also enjoyed the recipes that you used to do, and have returned to them from time to time in your absence to get ideas. All is great for me and my family during these times, but I do have a firefighter friend who contracted the virus and is fighting for his life currently. We are all keeping good thoughts and prayers for him.
Thank you for your kind words and for the valuable feedback! We'll definitely share some more recipes then as well. We're very sorry to hear about your friend, we can't imagine what that's like - especially when close relatives/friends aren't even able to visit him in the hospital... All the best to him from both of us, hopefully he will recover soon.
So good to hear from you. Yes I love stoicism and minimalism and would love to hear about your journey. I am so sorry you are going thru these health challenges. I will pray for you both. Be strong and courageous dear ones and take care of each other forever. I appreciate you and am sending you lots of peace and hope. 💕
I am definitely interested in all of those topics. You guys were very influential in my early days with keto. I have been keto now for going on 2 and a half years. Staying keto, especially through these times has been crucial for me. I am always feeling calm and positive when those around me seem to be on a roller coaster of emotions. I know this is largely do to my diet because if i do have a day of higher carbs I feel it emotionally, mentally, and physically. Keto has also helped me manage my own hormonal issues. I had awful issues with fibroids and subsequently infertility for many years. I had a major surgery and also went through IVF several times. Although i still do not have children, I saw a very significant improvement in my IVF cycle numbers, as my diet changed. I did get pregnant once, which was a dream in itself. All of our family planning is now on hold but I'm really making the most of this time at home to maximize self care, look within, and simplify my life. I am a massage therapist and my business is currently closed. Honestly, it's quite daunting to think of how things will need to change for me to reopen. I am seriously considering a new life and i am really looking forward to your videos with such wonderful kind and thoughtful energy and inspiration. You both are such beautiful souls and i wish you all the best!
Thank you for sharing this with us, Hanna! ❤ Angelo and I were both very moved by your story! It warms our hearts that we had a positive influence on you and hope to do the same in the future as well. You are such a strong person and your attitude towards the current situation is very admirable! Please stay safe and Angelo and I are sending you a warm hug from Vienna!
Im back eating some carbohydrates as i just feel better, i tried keto for over 6 months this was great for about 3 months in but after a while i was feeling less and less energy and mood. I lift heavy in the gym and i think i just kept running my glycogen stores too low to the point my blood sugars would drop and i would get dizzy and flatulence, especially while working out. Might try cycling few weeks eating carbs then a few weeks keto?
Nothing wrong with that if it makes you feel better and you don't have metabolic issues! Especially for people that are lifting heavy. Personally, I found no benefit in adding carbs for my workouts (as for me it leads to bloating, gas, discomfort), but I'm not aiming to be a professional bodybuilder anyway. Have you ever tried taking some sea salt (eg. 1 tsp), mixed with water 30 mins pre-workout? That might help prevent dizziness due to low electrolytes.
@@mostlyKeto It wasn't a lack of electrolytes i did blood test, this was fine so had to be another reason. My cholesterol was also really high... I think you are right that eating too many carbs can cause bloating and gas for some people. Too much fibre will do the same thing from any vegetable
@@exoticspeedefy7916 alright, interesting. As far as cholesterol goes, it's a lot more nuanced than what we're told to believe ("high is bad, low is good"), especially when following a low-carb diet: cholesterolcode.com Yeah, too much fiber (eg. from almond flour) makes me feel bloated as well.
