Tell me one thing, Elliot. Are you a one or a zero? That's the question you have to ask yourself. Are you a yes or a no? Are you going to act or not? Check out my channel to watch another best quotes from Mr Robot episodes.
"Are you a yes or a no?" that single quote is one of the best quotes in the history of television. Its so deep, meaningful that everytime i want to get some motivation, I come back to this quote.
Mr Robot hits deeper, merging two topics that are totally different (cyber world and mental issues) to the perfection, thouroughly and keeping this approach from the beginning to the end. That is revolutionary. Breaking bad on the other hand is god level series. Both are my favourite.
Wow.... Looking back at this chess game after window incident reveal in season 4, the clues have been laid down.- "sounds like good advice from good father"... ".... On the other hand dont be like your father "
*Memory* is my least favourite word. Every day we are supposed to show love for one another but if you rely on the memory of having done that once (in the past), you will let the moment (present) die. You sleep on the fact (thought) that you're a good person without ever _doing_ something good, and because you are not blind to this reality, the realisation of not bearing any fruit exists in the mind. But, we'd rather question our existence than the lack of initiative. "Am I really a good person? Am I really worth it? Do I mean anything?". *Egoism.* We would rather think there is no meaning to life than admit that we're filled with sloth. *Memory.* You remember how people have treated you at some point in time and you create an image of self based on it. To protect yourself (life preservation) you tell yourself people are mean and fucked up. Yes, there's a chance. But how do you help? So at the end of the day, you are judgemental, and hateful, and you say "f... God" but the truth is, you don't do shit. You never did shit to give life some meaning. People say that time flies and before you realise you're out of it. Think about all the times you were staring into space. Instead of being aware of what's in front of you. *God is right in front of you.* Time doesn't fly, our awareness does. Until one day, when we're on the brink of dying, and we realised we have lived _a memory_ instead of our own real _life._ Today was the first time (since childhood) when I looked at my hands and I realised they're mine. They're so strong. All my life they supported me, as did all of my body. I have nothing but love for it. Christian dogma supports that we were made by God, but He is independent of us. You gotta go out and meet Him. In older philosophies, such as Taoism, they call this getting right with the Tao. The force that created everything. It's always been here, but we've ignore it. We can get right with it. Take this knowledge and do whatever the fuck you want with it, but remember this: *what you are not changing, you are choosing.* Peace out. 🙏🏻
I would say there are multiple memories existing in us based on our constantly changing perceptions of circumstances around us. As we experience happiness - a peak point of pleasure that we perceive to be happening right at the time of identifying - we tend to get attached to the feeling and logically become averted from pain (as happiness cannot be grasped by the mind without its natural opposite). From the moment of identification/attachment the mind seeks to resolve the arising "conflicts" that block our perception of happiness. So what should we do, do not identify with anything? What should we do if we already identified with something? This practice seems futile until maybe one time it dawns on us that changing does us while we are at the purposeful act of changing, simultaneously. Some say the realization of this is a more peaceful - and possibly only - point of life. But how would I know, I only recite this by memory. :-) My only comment to yours is, memory may not be a trustworthy source in finding meaning.
It's interesting how the ego/mind always creates an "outside" god just to blame "him" about everything. while in fact the "outside" universe nothing but a mirror...
Lucky I'm always behind a VPN in some random country and was able to find this video. I once tried to rewatch it on my phone and it's region blocked for USA.
What worries me is that every edgy loser spending days on 4chan in a dark room have the same opinions as Eliot about religion and because of that they think they’re just like him.
G T Imagine a scenario where you have to keep a embarrassing LIE for a long long.long time ok? Then something happens and you are forced to tell the TRUTH right? That’s a fucking cringy situation boy, and believe me not everyone can handle “whatever” truth and certainly not a brainwashed fuck like yourself SIR...CRINGE= “ to bend one's head and body in fear or apprehension, to behave in an excessively humble and servile way “. TRUTH will always have consequences...including cringe
@humandxp but most of times I win either one side of chess cuz no option left to take once you play yourself. But you choose who wins unless you got a separate memory play of thoughts you give to both side then it is possible but I don't really know who has such a mind other than a computer or some psychic people (I don't know what it is called in medical science)
@@mu4v1z Complete nonsense. It's not the immortal game. I looked it up. It's this game: Elliot vs. Mr. Robot - Game 1 This is an artificial game, created by Sam Loyd. His goal was to produce the shortest possible game which ends in stalemate - in this case, after only 10 moves, black cannot make a legal move and the game is over and declared a draw. The moves make no sense whatsoever, other than to achieve the final position. An actual game would never, ever go like this, but it's quite a remarkable feat, to compose a game that reaches stalemate so quickly.
Loved ones and zeros love this show they way he fucked society and ripped into religion I couldn’t believe it fucking brilliant this is my Belief too 😂😂😂
Yeah, "....to go along with your NCIS's, your Lexapro.........your Mr Robot" I know, we all like to imagine we are different, uniquely gifted with vision just like our protagonist. We have a strange propensity to become slaves to our own creations-media is the absolute worst of these.
To all those chess prodigies commenting shit here. Watch the freaking show. Then bark will ya. Both person are same and they're intentionally going for the fastest stalemate possible.
As a chess player I cringe every time i see this game. Can't see the pieces very well but pretty sure it's not a stalemate. Still love the show but I would have appreciated it way more if they had actually played a real game.
@@sarath14k56 Yeah that's just not correct. They are fighting over who gets control. Why would someone play chess just to want a stalemate. Elliot wanted to win but he couldn't because Mr. Robot is a part of him. Still i wanted to see some legit moves not bishops going horizontal. I've watched the show and I love it.
zrapboy7 with all due respect bro, there is no necessity to learn the game for the purpose of acting it. Chess is just a beautiful game depicted wrong almost every time In a show while it is very easy to act the part- no need to learn chess just follow the script and take out any past game of grandmasters
@@denisel I checked and its seems to be the quickest way to a stalemate with a slight variation at the beginning(prob to give it more pizzazz). At first glance I couldnt believe that Mr Robot(Father) didnt overtake the queen with his rook.
His monologue about religion was not outloud. Like, have you ever talked with group of religious people like that when you are outnumbered? They'll not allow you to say more than 5 words in such direction))
"Why didn't God help my innocent friend" Really? and why would he help him? I really don't understand you people. He gave us the freedom of choice. I you don't believe in God then this is your choice. I don't care, nobody does. I don't think you believing in God or not will make a difference honestly. Just please don't try to insult people's religions. Just don't be a RU-vid jerk for one time in your life. Thanks
ImPoppy go and get hit by your hummer, it’s not referring to help is referring to its absence, as you said he gave us the freedom but he s doing nothing g to those who are innocent and suffer, and without the saying of he always have a plan or afterlife you go to heaven on earth right now someone who does nothing is as useful as a top laner without tp, I’m not saying neither of existence but he s just asking why he doesn’t do shit, weee where you before u got born? Nowhere, you are here bc of your parents passion (coitus) , were are you gonna be after nowhere is it so bad? Having heaven right here, he is just protesting to the conformism and lack of interest, I’m no one to wonder the decision of your god, but when you understand why you don’t believe in another’s gods you ll understand why you shouldn’t believe in your either, also he says if I don’t listen to my imaginary friend why taht fuck should I listen to yours,he is suggesting all of that all you have is an imaginary friend to make in your life some sense, hey I’m not insulting I’m just analysing after all if you watch a show try to think as the character the show ll have more meaning, use your imagination bc with your content you are saying nothing.
These day everyone get offended by anything he was insulting he was just questioning also as the scene moves forward I believe he did offend the people but immediately he realises of that and think shit please tell me I did not day that out loud, Doesn’t mean he apologaziws to religion but to the persons feeling.
there are currently 19 religions with over 1 million followers. most of them claim that theirs is right and the other wrong. so I hope you picked the "right" one.
Freedom of choice? Sure. Except for all the rules and punishments if you don’t do what he wants. Besides if a god created us, he created our brains, brains that are wired a certain way, to make certain choices. So he didnt really give us any choice. If you told me “hey, you can fuck that woman over there before marriage but if you do it I’ll torture you for eternity”, would you say you’re really giving me a choice?
