Arsenal beat Tottenham 3-2 in the North London Derby to keep their Premier League title hopes alive and end Spurs Champions League hopes. Mark Goldbridge reacts to the latest football news.
@@BruceLee1.0 didn't spurs fans celebrate a draw this year season at the emirates and the players celebrated a draw 2004 when arsenal won the league that white hart lane🤣🤣🤣
He was a beast at Leverkusen and Arteta said himself he’s one of the most technically gifted players (even though this was when he was being bantered at Chelsea)
I never understood the people criticizing him or his move to Arsenal. People were clowning on Arteta, though anyone who knows football and has seen Havertz play in his good days would have known how good of a move this was.
why everyone is pointing the game lost against villa? i dont understand. We lost the league back in december not against villa, we had two loss in a row (West ham and fullham), those were winnable games.. That is 6 points lost You should always expect to lose points against one of the top 4 or 5 , not against a mid table team
Not really. Having a better squad than everyone else is what Arsenal have to do. If any other team apart from City win it, then City were not at their best
Exactly. I would argue that in the first half, it was Spurs who were the better team as they were coming forward for most of those 45 minutes, but when Arsenal had their chances, they took them really well. 2nd half, Spurs fell off a bit, but that Raya mistake got them going again, and then there was the penalty which made the game a lot more nerve-racking
Fr arsenal got most of their goals from bad defending just like pur other goals spurs conceded but arsenal's defence held of our many chances unlike us
Let's not forget the fact that Topspurs have 15 days to prepare while Arsenal played 7 games in two weeks,I know we gave them two goals, you can clearly see the advantages Topspurs have in the last 20mins.
Great win. Let’s not turn on Raya. We need our player’s confidence and mentality to be as good as it possibly can be for the rest of the season. COYG❤️❤️
They will still find another talking point even if the case is resolved. Haters never "down tools". The previous talking point was "oil money and buying success" even if Man United overspends Man City. Now it is 115 charges. They will surely find another talking point. I am not a City fan but I can see the mixture of hate, jealousy and misinformation.
I’m an Arsenal fan and I think you’re being harsh on Spurs. They were very dangerous in the first half and unlucky to be 3-0 down at halftime. Romero could have had a couple and that offside goal was extremely close.
Wouldn't have expected complacency to be the issue for Arsenal in this game, but they need to work on their concentration levels when they are winning games.
I think it was fatigue. The players didn't look nervous. They look very assured in their defending. Arsenal played 5 games since Tottenham's last match. They had a 2 week break so they were much fresher at the end.
Arsenal DID NOT Destroy Cold Spurs. Spurs could have drawn the match. Arsenal was never in control for most part of the game Did ChatGPT write this title??
Rubbish..at half time..3-0..the game was over..2nd half it was men against boys until David Raya under no pressure gives a gift to Spurs..then Penalty..Arsenal deserved to win..
Mate, do you think having more possession entitles any team to win a game? Arsenal were clinical today, won a game away from home, were nowhere near their best, and Spurs needed 2 mistakes to get back into the game…if Arsenal had 15 days off and then played Spurs it could have been 5 or 6 that Arsenal scored…I even completely forgot Maddison was playing today!
Arsenal allowed spurs to have the ball. Arsenal picked their moments and plucked away at spurs weaknesses. Far more clinical and could have scored more if it was wasnt for a silly assists by rice and raya. Other than Romero's headed chances and sons spooned shot spurs didnt really do anything. Arsenal overall were more clinical on both sides of the pitch whether stats say anything else.
Mark is everything that's wrong with football. He's so bitter that everytime I listen to him I feel football is probably the worst and most broken sport in the world 😂
Destroy?? What game did you watch Mark? Spurs expected goals was actually higher than Arsenal’s. Fair play to them though for grinding out the result at the end
"Arsenal destroy tottenham"? I'm not a spurs fan. In fact, I wanted Arsenal to win. But 3-0 down in the first half was so unfair. Tottenham were so close to scoring on a few occasions, with a just barely dissallowed goal and a header on the post. Not to mention the fact that arsenal were handed a goal by højbjerg. I'd say overall it was a pretty even match and Araenal might just have deserved the win in the end, but in no way did they "destroy" spurs.
The score line doesn't matter what matter's is the 3 points and putting the pressure on city. Beating spurs is always great but no matter who we play its a must win. Lucky for us we done the job in the first half. Come on you Gunners
Spot on as always. Can't criticise us this season. Aside from the Fulham away loss we have been brilliant yet it isn't enough. Great for City but bad for the league.
As a Gunner I thought we were lucky when Kulu was clipped by Trossard, sure he doesn't mean it but Kulu has the ball, fair enough if both players were off the ball. We got away with that one. It was more a penalty than the one that was given. At 3-0 how we let in a team to score 2 goals when they were hardly trying to score is special. Son was a ghost until he rocked up to take his penalty.
Ofc mark goldbridge is glazing Arsenal again. Two penalties that were clear were scrapped and he didn’t say a thing. I don’t even have to talk about that offside goal that was clear onside. A few days ago he complained about PGMOL and now he has calmed down after one of the most dodgiest games. It’s an embarrassment to even have a channel called “Mark Goldbridge Saves Football”. Absolutely Embarrassing mark.
Mark you’ve lost the plot mate they did not destroy Tottenham. Tottenham dominated possession, shots and chances made they got a lucky own goal and that ref was blind asf
Arsenal are definitely improving but still need a few additions in key areas if they are to win the league. A midfield partner for Rice, a quality LB, a true number 9 and maybe a goalkeeper.
We had 63% possession, 5 more shots and lost it because of silly mistakes defending set pieces. No excuses arsenal were the better side but it was a close game.
On overall entertainment and attacking form I believe Arsenal over the season has been the best but its a season long comp. Overall results and points matter when the trophy is given.
City rarely play the best football, they play boreball but it gets results. Arsenal have been far more entertaining and impressive especially the way they defend but they'll likely still lose the race. Bear in mind if var was only incompetent, city wouldn't be in the race
It’s not just this ref. D. Luiz came through and whacked Jesus on the back of the leg in the box and no pen in the pitch or from VAR. it’s then consistency that everyone gets annoyed with. This is a pen but many similar aren’t given. We could have an extra point.
Here me out about why Michael Oliver didn’t call the Rice penalty: First of all, I think it should have been a penalty. However, if you watch the replay from the front angle, it appears to me that Rice kicks out but retracts his foot before making any significant contact. Which is why Michael Oliver didn’t call the pen at first. Nevertheless, I think there is very light contact and with Rice’s foot clearly being swung between the leg, it’s very difficult to defend yourself through VAR. I think it would be criminal not to give the penalty but all I’m saying is I think I understand why it wasn’t given straight away. Declan rice waves his arms because he knows the fall to the ground wasn’t equal to the amount of contact made.
