Thanks for watching guys! I Know I called this game ANCIENT Quest a few times instead of ACENT QUEST, I blame late night editing and dyslexia lol. Anywho if you wanna help keep this content coming please consider checking out our or sponsor over at www.vrwave.com and use mu code reddevilstudios to get %5 off!
The Kickstarter goal is not high enough to cover all the development costs of an MMO and so far it hasn't gained much traction. Do the devs have a non-KS source of funds arranged or at least identified to cover development and ongoing operation expenses after they launch?
I honestly feel like once they get enough traction they will extend the kickstarter or start another one I think this is just a higher the initial team to get the game started and then they'll probably seek more funding
The common method of many modern kickstarters is to use a successful KS as a proof of interest to get third party funding. This is the route they are going should they only meet the minimum goal.
@@ktruce it's actually supposed to be an MMO Co-op hybrid where public areas are more like an MMO and all players have access to those areas, then when you leave if you're in a party you will automatically be sent to an instance area with that party however if you do not have a party they're hoping to give you a random party system if you want to play with more players. Additionally they did talk about increasing how many players can be part of the co-op so it's possible to get up to eight players. As far as I understand it there will still be a lot of social areas so yes to some this may mimic MMOs but to me it's more like an MMO lite.
@@RedDevilVR yep I knew about this game for a little while and I understand how everything works. I was just pointing out that it’s not really a true mmo because the original comment was mentioning the costs needed to make a mmo.. the game is no where near that lvl and I don’t think vr is mature enough for a true mmo. This game is reaching for a more realistic goal imo. It’s similar to games like destiny.. like you said there’s a social hub where a lot of players can meet but you can only pair up with up to 4 players and potentially 8 if they include raids. I agree that it’s a “mmo lite” but I don’t think those are really mmos.
Orbus was great because of the community and the old world (and i miss it till this day)...and its dead. Zenith was a nice attempt....ups they went to the wrong way and also ran out of money so it died too......and Ilysia.... "Experience the glory days of MMOs again" they said and released a pre pre pre alpha thats worse than the actual alpha was years before. I dont want to be negative and i really really want to be proven wrong but i lost all hope of getting an actual vrmmorpg in my life that do things right....or any mmorpg that isnt turning into a cashgrab pay to win themepark after release.
Ready Player One had, one world with portals to all the others. Whichever companies do this first will be the gaming platform Gods for the next 100 years.
I thought this was an anime unrealistic thing that will never happen in real life but I guess it's one step at a time towards the vr games we see in webtoons and anime 😂😅
I hope the Sword Art Online VR on VRChat can finally make the massive, bustling world. I hope they make portals to SAO, to Attack On Titan, and many, many other worlds to visit and thrive in. This will make it become the real Ready Player One experience. I am brand new as of tomorrow, lol, but so far, I see VR Chat with the most potential when it comes to this vast MMORPGVR. I could be wrong, but all kinds of games, from Bonelab, to simulations, can become a part of one world that all branches out from a massive VR Chat community. That's the future to me; they all need to come together under a base world, and honestly, Zuckerberg's Metaverse will be more of a professional/business platform. Not another reality in the Gameverse. 🤗
After playing so many flat to VR mods, no VR game feels good. Praydogs UE5 VR injector will save VR as we know it. Playing stuff in VR like 7 Days to Die, Valheim, Subnatica, and more, NOTHING that is a VR game only can even remotely compare. They're all tech demos when standing next to the others.
That is very true if you're using PC or cloud gaming in order to achieve a higher resolution and more processing power but for stand-alone this could be a pretty great achievement
Man. You explain so well that make me understand all of the expectations and confirmations with this new VRMMORPG, will be the explosion of developers trying to make their world and explain then. So good to select to 5 classes and probably 12 subclasses. This is my dreaming come truth.
True and sadly many titles never get a version that takes advantage of powerful PCs, we can attain like 2015 levels of graphics in VR imo, given unreal engine 5 and careful optimizing, but too many devs don't want to spend the money. That said, seeing even primitive graphics in VR is shockingly immersive at times, especially if a character comes close to you, it's just a feeling of it being "real" even if the textures and poly counts are low - hard to explain.
pointless comment though. i am more worried that it's again a poc title. i'd love to see an actual aaa mmorpg, that you can grind and hangout with. i don't even have a vr headset right now but i surely would get one, if there was a title that has the social aspects of something like vrchat where you just love to chill and mess around with people, but at the same time also have guilds and go grind. custom skins and all that stuff. just feature wise a real mmorpg like for pc.
