Janis is right. The curl is actually more dangerous for the lower back, than squats, deadlifts and bent rows. Because the weight is farther away from the body. Making the leverage multiply the pressure on the spine . A 100 kg curl must be as hard on the spine as a 200 kg deadlift. You guys are really impressive!

I do 80kg curls weighing 80kg myself. Ain't dangerous if you strong.

If you have strong gluteus and erectör spine this not problem. Squeeze your hip.

A 100kg curl is way, way, WAY harder than 200kg deads. My best deadlift was 250kg with 82kg bodyweight. My best strict curl was 70kg. And my best cheat curl was 85kg. My best cheat curl without any kind of good form was 90kg. Never touched 100kg.

Hey guys ur team is incredible I’m a beginner puller and had my first tournament which I lost. But I’m trying to learn more ways to get stronger Janis is the man so I appreciate all the information u guys put out there! Have pain on top of my elbow near the joint. How can I fix this? So if i get it right the function of backpressure training to make the distance between your hand and your shoulder always close ?

Generally speaking yes. Good backpressure will keep you from getting stretched open and the tighter you can get to your shoulder gives you more options on what you can do technically. Can go to toproll/hook/press while protecting your bicep.

If you are using rolling handle then yes. Normal - no.

@@closegripbenchpress489 Armwrestling is a strength sport with weight divisions, you don't want to get bigger and heavier, but stronger in your division. And his biceps are not so small, i think his arms are about 40cm, just bodybuilding got so popular in the last decades that it has altered the way people think a strong healthy person should look like.
