Glad the girl on the left remembered Askeladd's connection to Wales because she seemed like the only one. Him being half danish on his fathers side and half welsh on his mothers side is the key part of his origin as to why he despises the Danes but also loves Wales and wishes for it to prosper. Reflecting his love for his mother and his hate for his father.

I know people are hype for what's about to come. But you have to really appreciate the parallels between thorfinn and canute's stories being told before us is absolutely incredible. Top tier writing in my opinion

With the lot of story tweaks the anime did, i think this near ending part was my favorite. In the manga, Thorfinn getting the shit kicked out of him (by Askeladd) and the day of the meeting were two separate occasions. Combining these two moments created a very powerful end of the season, imo.

If you like Vinland Saga and Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba, check out Dororo. It has that same fantasy feudal Japan thing like Demon slayer, but it echoes the same messages that this show has. Also it's only 26 episodes👍

Dororo is a better Demon slayer. much better characters, better executed themes, and more compelling story. Hyakkimaru is also cuter than Nezuko lmao because he actually has a big role in the story and development

@@Oakland510 absolutely I have to say the creators did better research from Japan than the ones in uk and America that seem to think that King Arthur was Cornish when in fact he was a Welsh king fighting against the English Anglo Saxons .wales the cymru 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 have existed for thousands of years the English only over 1200 but everyone thinks he’s English when he isn’t when it comes down to askeladd I think he was fantastic one of the best well developed characters who really loved and respected his mothers homeland the only character in an anime that has done that he’s epic and fascinating at the time 😀
