I think it is not a game for him. Witcher 3 loses a lot when you try to finish it as soon as possible. It looks like he is not very interested in this game and story. He just wants to go kill the boss and then go kill the next one and finish the game without getting into the world and the story. Of course, I'm not saying that he should not play it. But it would be best if he played this game after the stream. At your own pace. I only hope that he will not judge this game if he will only do the main quests and do not read the story. I do not have anything to him. I just think so. This game is about telling stories, not challenges and tough bosses. Too much dark souls bro xd you have to read stories. Forgive my weak English xd It just hurts my eyes a bit.
Yeah I agree it's more about being entertaining to him, games that are fast paced or have a simple story are things he's probably interested in WHEN streaming for his audience. I've never played any of the witchers but I definitely would not watch Asmongold play it lol. Not sure if he's played the other two but just seems like he's not super into like you said. That said, hope the streams go well!
dark souls is about exploring the world and finding the story aswell, but in Witcher 3 it has way more impact if you dont care about the story and the world. Would be sad.
Okay, I might admit that - in a lore-heavy game such as The Witcher 3 you should be forbidden to look into the chat while making decisions. Put up an emote-only mode or something.
Somebody please save me the effort - Does he make swallow - Does he actually choose his quest and not follow whatever one appears as his main -Does he just mostly do main story missions - Does he know why he should use witcher senses - Does he know white text is lore focused and yellow is decisions - Does he have any idea what witcher gear is
Swallow? What for lmao, I'm playing with the immersion mod by one of the devs which nerfed food to 10 and 15 vit/sec and even then I never need swallow on deathmarch - you never need that much regen
Geralts armour is fantastic...art team did excellent on all the cut-scenes, scenery and the ones who drew up the armour for the characters did a really great job.
For vanilla I have to say that the Keira content is the best. I really wish you could romance her (although I still would pick Yennefer because she's the best for Geralt) instead of the manipulative, weak, back-stabbing Triss.
@@DecayedPony yea but I want him to experience the game fully. Dark Souls I would like to watch him play but Witcher is not a streamer friendly game and when you take that approach it becomes a boring, clunky game. He needs to chill out, slow down, and pay attention with or without stream to enjoy the story, lore, and side quests (which he is skipping).
@@JebsonofJeb The problem is he's trying to play difficult game like Dark Souls. When he'll die 100-200 on a beast, he'll just forget everything regarding the story.
I thought picking up all the plants on the way and making the potions ASAP was normal behavior in any game. I guess not? Consumables seem like the go-to early to make the harder fights smoother...
So amusing whenever someone plays this game and says they made the wrong decision like bro that's one of the main themes of the game, choose the lesser evil
Asmon dude, chill, most enjoyment for the viewers and hopefully you is from absorbing the lore and story, just go at a steady pace and not rush through it
Also for a easy playthrough id recommend looking for white raffords potion i believe its basicly a instant heal rather than swallow that is a hot EDIT: i couldve got thte name wrong i dont remember properly
My god why am i torturing myself watching this for over 3 hours now... i'm so stupid. It's such a torture watching him play this and yet i'm still here... ffs.
@@Corrupted Cyberpunk was lacking depth on every level, very few memorable secondary quest, terrible AI, boring +X% damage skill tree, dead city with no interactions or responsive NPC, literally the same hacking mini game AND then you had the myriad of bugs and technical issue of all possible sort on top of the rest. There was some nice moments but just not good enough for me to say it was a good game. It was beautiful ys but when your immersion is broken every few minutes by a T pose, a random car exploding for no reason or crossing the same 5 NPC in a row, not matter how beautiful your game is, the mirror is shattered. I played on PC, with a high end pc, it was a hot mess.
@@Eogard Cyberpunk story > Witcher story. Cyberpunk's character development is better than Witcher's. AI, open world, bugs - Cyberpunk is obviously worse. For me Witcher and Cyberpunk are very close, they have a lot of common things. I totally don't understand people that consider Witcher as a masterpiece and Cyberpunk as a shit, they are f... idi0ts. Of course bugs could absolutely destroy Cyberpunk experience, but I am playing Cyberpunk 1.23 on PC and it has bugs but they are not game breaking (I've been playing this game for 60 hours), right now Cyberpunk is absolutely great game. I know that the version 1.00 was worse, maybe unplayable.
This dude obviously knows only one thing, a dead MMO game he played as a late teen, with his mum and friends helping him to level up.... He's unable to learn how to play new, real games. Seen him play several now, and it's always the same story. (I watch to boost my ego a little, as a baby gamer- Witcher 3 is only my second game, but jeez, I did soooo much better, on my first playthrough, he's not even close)🎋
A few tips when in Combat: 1. Use Left Alt to do a Dodge...You like to use Shift and ROLL so far away 2. Right Click is your block...if used at right time you can counterattack 3. Hold Shift + Left Click to do a powerful attack 4. Q is your friend, I usually keep it on the Push or Igni signs 5. When playing as Ciri if you Hold Q she charges up attack and does some crazy stuff to everyone in the radius. 6. When an enemy is on the ground (after using a push) you can finish them off 7. Use a Sharpening Stone at a Blacksmith to increase your weapon damage. Also keep your items maintained (FIX THEM) Hope these Help and I love the devs at CD project RED they treat gamers the right way both with DLC and story...lets help their next game Cyberpunk 2077 when it releases to show EA, UBISOFT, and Bethesda how its done. P.S. Make a torch and put it in your inventory that way in dark caves you can pull it out for light , or you can use a witcher sense to make everything black and white...i think it is called Cat Eyes or something.
While i do admit some of the things the chat has to say is good for asmon like telling him to alt rather than space dodge and to read the bestiary and remind him of keybinds and such i dont think they should spam bad ending after every choice he makes since it is a RPG and the choices he makes as a player contribute to the experience and i think it should stay that way and he not be chided for it.
I never uses quen lol, people play on deathmarch diff and then use quen all the time ( after in the game the stamina bar fills like immediatelly ) and brag how they finish the game on hardest diff, lol
@@Capza "than being a pussy and using quen" is implying dodging is the non-pussy way, I agree that dodging feels way more satisfying and looks great, but it's pretty much just as pussy haha
@@Corrupted Dodging monsters, countering humans, it's harder to counter because it doesn't show hint of attack, you need to hit the timing when the enemy swings.
He turned the difficulty up again, 1:34:50 Im glad it's not dumbass death march where you just spend more time making potions and abusing weaknesses. Honestly its more fun to just play it normally then worry about all the oils and everything all the time, and if he's not doing side-quests then death march would get quite hard.
while i agree that a game like this generally deserves more time for taking in all the fantastic side mission i do think thats rushing through the main stor and just doing important side missions could be actually doable for streamer. because running around the wild for hours just doing side mission wont be something everybody is interested in and that way we still get his reaction to the mportant parts of the game
he will skip the 70% of the game and I FUCKING BET he will end up with the worst ending. And because these things, he will say this game was OK at best. Jesus...
"Worst" ending isn't bad though, do all your stories need happy endings? A tragedy can be more interesting for a lot of people, are you one of the people who google the outcome to get their favorite ending?
He really should've stopped playing liek a dark souls player, clearly in his fights even against the Baron he doesn't really understand why in situations like that he didn't understand why you only fight bare hands. Can't blame him though but witcher 3 and dark souls are entirely different games
I thought Asmon's current chat was pretty awful during a lot of streams until I started watching these older VODs and found out that, not only were they MORE annoying with how badly they backseated, spoiled plot, and bitched about EVERY little mistake he made, but they were also WAY more racist and made a lot of pedo jokes... at least I hope they were jokes. I guess that's what happens when you have the biggest number of viewers on Twitch with seemingly next to zero moderation.
Chat is ruining this. Its totally normal to skip past story on your first go at an rpg after boss rush games. You can't get into the story if you force yourself to try every dialogue option before you get invested enough in these types of games to care.
Dude, that's just not playing. The guy is an idiot and having a hard time concealing it, with banter and idiotic boasts. Still deep down you can feel he knows just how dumb he is. All he knows to do is spam space on a dead MMO, for which he needed his mum and friends to help him even level up.
I expected him to use the abilities the game tried to teach him instead of ignoring all of it. He keeps attacking in a straight line and just rolls now and then. He never dodges or sidesteps. He never uses his signs. A witcher needs to dance to be effective. I think maybe he just plays like this because if he slows down and tries to learn, his stream will lose momentum and people start leaving I dunno
@@weeabooshunter4759 , I'm playing for the first time, Witcher 3 is only my second game ever- and I'm doing...worlds better, he's not even close. The dude is dumb, to not use the R word.... that much is obvious. This is an amazing game, and he just has no idea.
He lost viewership playing this game because of how badly he plays it. I cringed every 5min at how bad he is at combat (still doesn't dodge at like 5hrs in), he almost never uses signs and if he does it's just Quen the most simple one, he skips essential dialogue for the narrative and then thinks the game sucks. I can totally see thousands of people not being able to take this for much longer than 15min and leave, sure some of those people are WoW purists but they'll be back next time he streams WoW guaranteed and I'm sure a lot of people are intrigued to watch a game they've heard nothing but praise for.
BOOHOO HE'S SKIPPING EVERYTHING!! guys are you really expecting him to put 200-300 hours into a single-player game and play it for MONTHS, since he plays like 2-3 hours on stream?
I 100%'d the base game on deathmarch difficulty and I have 60 hours played by the end, haven't touched the dlc I don't know where people get these 200-300 hour numbers from, it's a pretty straight foward story, why even play these types of games if you're going to ignore story though? for the engaging gameplay of hit hit dodge hit hit dodge hit hit? thats basically any big third person action game, the story is what separates these games from others, skipping through the last of us story you might aswell be playing an uncharted game.
@@ChichiNaka I did everything in the base game + DLCs + just some dicking around, playing a bit whenever I felt like playing. 140 hours - and yes I took my time, listened to everything, absorbed the story, the soundtrack etc. I really don't understand how people claim to get 300 hours. Either they replayed the game twice and did everything twice - or they're just lying a bit, to make it seem "bigger" than it is.
@@Krogdalo Yeah, I'm probably a step or two below you in terms of trying to absorb everything but I have the same issues with bethesda games, people claim 200+ hours in a single campaign but after 3 'full' playthroughs of skyrim and infinite random one weekend characters I feel like the worlds actually tiny and only actually like 10 quest chains. Same with Fallouts, I got my 110 hours out of New Vegas doing all the DLC and absolutely everything I could in the game twice, Fallout 3 I've never had a save file go over 30 hours, theres nothing there I have no idea what all these people could possibly be doing 200 in Fo4 though and its definitely my least favorite of the series but I guess playing through it doing a lot more of the base building and playing through each main factions storyline added the hours up, plus I loved going through Far Harbor twice
