I haven’t seen anybody else talk about being able to cancel the cancels yet. Nice!

is this canceling cancels into cancels...? this is essential for making him viable

The way to rebuild ur resources after use is better than chaos reload because it stops ur combos to focus

I was wondering if it was possible to cancel the cancel inputs like this. This is huge and opens up a whole world of possibilities. Once people get good with asuka, its going to be insane. I only hope that they dont nerf him, because the insane potential is hidden behind a high skill level

@@Chadaragi-sannah, nine was kinda cooler (and harder) asuka have really easy combos but hard resource management if you're not good with it but again I'm not really an expert and I'm just taking from my short personal experience (or at least shorter compared to more expert players)

That is so busted compared to what I've been doing. I thought you had to do the full quarter circle back, and double tap down. I had no idea you could do them as single inputs post-cast.

Watch the starter guide. Asuka hardest thing to master is the cancels. Also keep in my there basically no limit to the cancels if you know what you're doing

Would u recommend the normal Mana Regen or use the one that uses tension and health for certain occasion

Tension id say

General tip, NEVER use the hp mana regen. Always use the tension regen because its the same speed and doesn't widdle down your already extremely low health.

I personally disagree-- If anything, HP mana regen is the one i use the most! It actually is faster than tension, and sacrificing a little bit of health to keep your pressure is, more often than not, very much worth it. As for the low HP- that's only an issue if you run out of mana! Which is a lot easier to avoid when you regen faster and more reliably than with your tension, which you might not be able to spend at all times. Plus, you're a lot more likely to lose HP if you give your opponent their turn back, one wrong read can set you down ~30-50% HP, which is a lot more HP than what you would've lost by consuming health to keep your turn. You can use the extra tension you save up for overdrives-- mainly Bookmark (Full Order) to try to get mana regen + auto-bookmark combo to get an absurd amount of pressure (or go for specific mixups or wands!), and just as importantly- defensive options. Asuka has little to no good defensive options (no reversal or unique defensive option at all, except for DP spell), so YRC and FD can save you in a lot of scenarios. Also, the mega cube (projectile overdrive) is pretty fast at 6 frames of startup, which is just a little slower than his punch, but is VERY plus on block, and is a lot more difficult to whiff. It's pretty good for getting out of pressure, since a lot of people wont be ready for the Asuka blocking in the corner to suddenly shoot a 500 megaton cube at them :3 Also keep in mind that the resource-to-mana ratio is better the closer you are to the opponent! If youre faceplanting into them, a full mana bar barely costs any health, while if youre full screen, it's quite a hefty price! If you're spending a lot of mana, going mid-to-close range to recover it can help your resource management :D All that being said, Asuka is an absolute tension DISPENSER, so it is rather often you end up with more tension that you need at a given moment-- If youre full on tension, or you have positive bonus with a nearly full meter, tension regen is great-- it can also be great for situations when you're zoning someone out, and trying to get a poke or set something up from long range. ...I might be a little biased, since I do tend to go for a more aggressive, mix-up focused playstyle, but most of what I said should (probably) still apply! Asuka mostly thrives on owning neutral then getting into his pressure, so saving up as much tension as possible to be able to do a lot of things better is very useful... Plus, who doesn't like seeing their screen filled with 300 cubes all at once? :3
