Hi mate, and thank you, it's really appreciated. I was away for a while, and then when I got back, the weather wouldn't let me do any videoing. All ok now though thank you. Take care, Terry.
Hello Lau, now I'm blushing 😉I did eventually get a video out, sorry it's been so long 😘the 2 newbies in the pond are growing really well. I hope all's well your end, and them gorgeous koi of yours are all well. All we need now is some good weather🤞🤞to get this season going. You have a great season Lau, and all the very best, take care, Terry
Hi Richard, and thank you mate, it's very much appreciated. We're both well mate thank you, I hope all's well with you and your family. Take care, Terry.
Hi Pete, and thank you. I'm getting caught up with things now. I hope all's well your end mate. I've never been housebound by a Blue Tit before😂😂 Thanks again, and take care mate, Terry.
Good to see ya back Terry hope your well mate glad the Phosphates are back under control 👍 that tree you copped down would have made an awesome bonsai 😅
Hi Jamie, and thank you. I hope all’s well your end mate. I'd have thought the tree would have been too big, but you could have had it, I only chopped it up, sorry! I hated the thing😂😂 if I cut anymore down, I'll give you a shout mate, take care, Terry.
Good to see you back mate , wisteria like lots of potassium and water to flower also mine always seems to have the tiny flower buds nipped off by late frosts , fish are looking great take care mate
Great to see you back on the small screen, you’ve been missed😊. Pond and fish looking good despite the blanket week, just a shame the season has been so slow to start👍
Thanks Phil, I really appreciate it mate. I'm slowly getting caught up with everything👍👍I hope all well your end mate, it is difficult with the weather the way it is. It would be really nice to see a little sunshine😒😒Thanks again mate and take care, Terry
Hi George, and thanks mate, always appreciated. I'm very well thank you, I hope all's well with you and your family mate. Have a great season, take care, Terry.
Hi Terry good to see you back hope you are well. pond looking good definitely better now you got rid of the old prickly thing 😂, I done same cloverleaf had same issue as you. You with your bird issues I had otter issue problem solved now
Really good to see you back in the game Terry, I have missed your videos with the your ongoing tales of ponding. Keep up the good work and I look forward to your next instalment. All the best
Glad to see you back and well Terry. I'm having issues with the slimy stuff for the first time. I've never really had it before. I have started using an ozone generator this year. No idea if that's the reason I'm getting the slime.
Hi Jim, and thanks mate. I'm not on ozone mate, and I'm getting plenty of it. It is horrible stuff. I'll see if the Cloverleaf does anything to it, and I'll let you know mate, have a great season, and take care, Terry.
Great to kick back on a Sunday and watch a video of yours Terry. Lovely to see the birds in the garden (if not a little troublesome 😭) Garden and pond are looking great as always. I get higher phosphates in my pond too. Found aquasource resolve works well. Fingers crossed for a good season. Best wishes buddy 👍🏼
Hi Dave, thank you for your kind comments mate, they're always appreciated. It's funny you should mention the Aquasource, my trouble is, quite a while back I ordered a tub of Cloverleaf, and found I'd already got one in the shed🤣🤣so now I've got loads of the bloody stuff😂😂 I hope all's well with you mate. Have a great season, Terry.
Hi mate, that's right, they're massive. We've been here nearly 10 years now, and they were only small when we came. Now they do my head in 🤣🤣 Thanks mate and have a great season, Terry
Terry, missed you mate, but i understand why, attrocious spring, had the same thing couple of seasons ago, eight little wrens left the box onto pond copings, way too young, put them all back in box, two days later they fledged never to be seen again, 👍
Hi mate, and thanks. It took me ages to get it back in it's box, 🤣😂and then it looked like it was coming straight out again😂😂it drove me crackers, take care mate, Terry.
I've been wanting to get rid of that small bush for quite a while. But I just didn't know what to put there. Then it dawned on me, I have the plants already 🤣🤣thanks again mate, and take care, Terry.
Thanks mate, and thank you for your kind comments, very much appreciated👍👍It's about time we had some nice weather😒😒Thanks again and you take care mate, Terry.
Hi, wisteria takes years before it flowers. We had one in our old garden which 50% of the time the frost got to the buds but when it did flower it was magnificent. Baby wildlife in the garden can be such a worry, it makes you feel helpless sometimes.
Hi Tony, thank you for the info on the wisteria. I'll keep my fingers crossed🤞🤞Thank goodness I think all went well with the birds. Thanks again and take care, Terry.
Wow It's Terry nice to see you matey, hope you're enjoying this lovely hot summer great to see you post I think the last was on Christmas eve. Keep on keeping on Tel and stay well. 👍🐟 ps: Brilliant blue tit 🐦 adventure, maybe the one tapping on the window was saying thanks. 🤣
Hi mate, Never thought of that😂😂I was kept housebound for a day, by a Blue Tit🤣🤣🤣 My last video was quite a while back. (last year)😒😒sorry, I will try harder mate👍👍😉you take care, Terry.
Hi Keith, and thank you mate, it's very much appreciated. I'm slowly getting my jobs done, but trouble is, I'm not as young as I was🤣🤣you take care mate, and have a great season, Terry.
Great to see your back Terry, let's hope we soon get some summer mate, soon be the longest day!, looking forward to seeing your next video, garden and pond are looking lovely as usual and glad the fish are all well. Take care 🙂
Hi Tom, and thanks mate. It's good to be back. I'm slowly getting things sorted now. I hope all's well with you and your family👍👍I must admit the weather has been a right pain, take care and have a great season mate, Terry.
Been a slow start to the pond year everyplace Terry. Summer has been a non starter some bright days but little in the way of any heat in the air hope for some better weather soon nice to see some video from you have a good week
Hi Martyn, That's right mate, this weather is seeming to become the norm. We can only keep our fingers crossed for better to come. Take care mate and have a great season, Terry
Good to see you back Terry, I thought you'd left the country. We had Blue Tits hammering at the garden mirror, I think it's seen it's reflection and trying to fight it off as its in it's territory. Stay safe mate
Hello mate, and thank you, I must say, it's good to be back. I have been playing catchup this past couple of weeks, but getting there now. I hope all's well your end mate👍👍 take care and have a great season, Terry
Hi, Terry if you find out why the Wisteria didn’t flower please let me know, my one is 20 years old only ever flowered once with 3 flowers. I think its days are numbered. Good video as ever, cheers🤓
Hi Steve, I've been told it has to be 4 years old to start flowering, so I've got my fingers crossed for next year. If it doesn't, it'll be on the same bonfire heap as yours mate🤣🤣🤣thanks again, and take care, Terry.
Hi Dale, and thanks mate, nice of you to say so. That slimy algae drives me mental. It blocks my Sieve filter mesh and pond skimmer basket. I'll let you know how the cloverleaf Blanket Answer goes mate. Thank again and take care, Terry
Hi Richard, and thank you mate. I have taken my website down mate, it was going to cost too much to bring up to date, and with all Google requirements, it was a nightmare. I still sell plans mate: pondfilters@gmail.com take care, Terry.
So nice to see you back once again. As usual the pond is looking great as is the garden. Hopefully the little blue tit is ok and managed to fly away. Looking forward to seeing what you get up to next. Cheers.
Hi Ken, and thank you mate. I couldn't find anything untoward in the garden to suggest the baby Blue Tit met it's doom, so hopefully it's ok. I hope you have a great season, thanks again mate and take care, Terry.
So glad to see you are back. Really missed seeing your updates. ❤ Nice catching up with you today.Boy those birds gave a hard time. 😅 Looking forward to seeing another update soon. ❤
Thank you, it's really appreciated. I spent a whole day catching the bird, and making sure my cat didn't get it😂😂. I hope everything is ok with you and your family. Have a great season, and take care, Terry❤.
I echo the sentiments of everyone else Terry; It's great to see you back!| I'm a bit behind with my pond duties and the weather hasn't helped, even down here in Dorset.
Hi Terry great to see you up and about again and making videos, really missed you. Pond looks fantastic and cannot believe how much your shusui has grown. Going to have to rename you the bird man at wrighty' s pond. Stay well and safe mate.
Hi David, and thanks mate, much appreciated. That's right mate, Sid the Shusui is really coming on now. I'm very pleased with him. I lost a full day trying to look after that Blue Tit 🤣🤣you should have seen me trying to catch it😂😂 never again, take care, Terry.
Hi Terry, and thanks mate. It's lovely watching the birds going in and out of the boxes. But I must admit, that was a bit of a nightmare😂😉for a day. Hoping you have a great season mate, take care, Terry.
Good to see you back, I have only reciently come across your channel, so I have been gradually going through your videos. I see your web site is no longer working, are you still doing plans for the RDF. regards Ken
Hi Ken, and thank you, it's very much appreciated. I have had to take my website down as it wanted too much spending on it to bring it up to Google Speck. I still do the plans for all my filters if your interested mate. They do come cheaper, now I don't have a website to pay for. If your interested, you can get me on pondfilters@gmail.com thanks again, Terry.
Welcome back my friend. Great to see u at it. Wisteria blooms only on new growth so don’t tidy it up for about the last 3-4 weeks before the last frost.
Hi Ritchie, and thank you. I hope all's well with you and your family mate. I've not touched it, apart from removing the new long growing shoots, as I don't want it growing any bigger. Thanks for the advice mate, very much appreciated. Have a great season, Terry.
What a wonderful surprise to see a waiting vlog from you. Super to see and hear the goings-on with your garden and pond Terry. Had six blue tits fledge a week ago, lovely to watch them. The pond is looking well, my own is a bit cloudy think the uv needs a change. Stay well and please vlog when you can, so entertaining.
Hi Dave, and thank you. I hope all's well your end mate. It's good to be back. Think I'm getting caught up now, so things are getting easier. Thanks again mate, and take care, Terry.
Weve missed you. The weather has been terrible. Your pom pom bush looks like a japanese rose. Easy to take root cuttings to propagate. What happened to the budleja?
Hi and thank you, it's really appreciated. Yes, Japanese Rose is another name for it, your quite right. The Buddleia was a real pain to keep trimmed. But I did love the butterflies and bumblebees that came, trouble is, when they built the housing estate in the field next door, they stopped coming, so I took it out. Have a great season and take care, Terry.
Hey buddy great to see you back I bought some plans for the rdf you built but can no longer find them on my pc. Was going to get another set but the website is no longer ? How can I get another copy
Hi Mick, thank you for your kind comments. I used a Sandtex Masonry grey paint for the fence, and a grey Ronseal Decking Paint for the darker grey. I hope this helps mate, Terry.
Hi Gary, thats a good thought mate, but I don't think so. I have it so the air just misses it, and it doesn't cut in, in the summer, I have it set on 13c. I also have one on the house, and it doesn't bother the plants in the front of it. Thanks for the thought though mate, it's appreciated, Terry.
Hey 👋. Kept housebound by a blue tit 😂. Do you late Summer prune the long growth you don't want on the wisteria and tie in/extend any leads you do to build the framework? Then in late Winter cut back all branches off the framework to finger length/2 buds. Do this every year to build the main framework and build flower spurs. Bring on Summer 😊
Hi Keith, that's right mate, good job the wife was at work😂😂😉thanks for the great info mate, very much appreciated. I've also been told they might not flower for the first 4 years as well. thanks again mate, really appreciated, Terry.
Hi mate, I use to have a net over my pond and it does spoil the view of the fish, plus a heron will use a net to walk over the pond. The fence I have can be removed and replaced in less than 1 minute. I must admit it is a far better option. Thanks, Terry.
I’d love to check out some of the build plans but the website doesn’t seem to work for me in the US. I’m not sure why. I’ve got a very limited budget so I’m building things as I go.
Hi Reed, I have had to take the website down as it wanted too much spending on it to bring it up to date. I do still sell the filter plans. You can get me on pondfilters@gmail.com thanks mate, Terry.
Sorry for always showing up. I always point out that we don't have the practice of KOI keepers using test kits to check water quality, and it's a pity you don't have reports on KOI swimming, behaviour and surface changes, as it is our practice to sense these and use them to make adjustments. When that becomes a priority and is put into practice, the day will come when people will be able to empathise with the fact that test kits are unnecessary, as we do.
Aerobic & Anaerobic. Aerobic bacteria refers to the group of microorganisms that grow in the presence of oxygen and thrive in the anoxygenic environment. Anaerobic bacteria refers to the group of microorganisms that grow in the absence of oxygen and cannot survive in the presence of an anoxygenic environment.
I will double check mate, but I've never noticed a smell with it and not noticed any bubbles coming off it either mate. Sorry!, I'll try to get a closer look.
