Hello, thanks a lot for making these videos, they're very helpful. You mentioned that assessment of work experience is not required before lodging the application/EOI. I was about to pay for this additional service through Engineers Australia, but as I understand now, I actually don't need it, and I only need the "Migration Skills Assessment" which is the assessment of my civil engineering degree (falls under the Washington Accord as it's from University of Greenwich in the UK in my case). Could you please confirm if I'm OK to skip the additional "Relevant Skilled Employment Assessment" and still claim 5 points for my four years of civil engineering experience when applying for the 189? Kind regards.

Thanks Karl! Very useful video. I have a doubt regarding the Specialist Education Qualification. I have completed a Master's degree through 2 years of research in an ICT field (ACS has certified my Master's Degree in Computing) in the US. Does a US equivalent degree count (i.e non-Australian, but assessed as comparable) towards the Specialist Education Qualification 10 points?

Hello, thank you for the informative video. I have one question with regard to the Specialist Education Qualifications, I presume these 10 points strictly apply only to masters degree by research and not for masters degree by coursework? Even if the masters degree by coursework is in STEM.

I would like to ask if I should first do my IELTS, Medical exam, and skills assessment before submitting my EOI or after submitting my EOI. Or should I wait for the government to contact me by inviting me to apply? Hi Carl, I got the skill assessment from Engineers Australia for the occupation 313214 Telecommunications Technical Officer or Technologist. Am I able to apply for the EOI using this skill assessment for the other 2 occupations, that are closely-related and are in the same ANZSCO Unit Group, such as 313212 Telecommunications Field Engineer and 313213 Telecommunications Network Planner?

Hi, great video btw. I’ve been invited and I’ve submitted my 190 application with 90pts, on my EOI I did not claim any work xp points as I did not have the 3year min to claim points; however, In the required docs in the application there was overseas xp. I did not provide any as I didn’t have docs ready and getting them would be quite difficult. Should I try to get at least an overseas work reference translate it and attach it? Or should I just wait for them to ask me for it? As I said, I am not claiming points for this. Thanks

Hi Karl, I reside in Adelaide & I will be completing my Bachelor of Applied Social Science (Community services) by Nov 2021, and my student visa will expire Feb 2022, With my qualification, age, & English test; I'm on 90points now & I will be turning 32 by May 2022. I've got 3yrs work experience as a support worker outside Australia & 2yrs experience pre-qualification as a support worker. What is likely my chances for 190 or 491 ? If i have lodged my EOI, and at time of application I had been in my role for 7.5 years, but since then 6 months has passed whilst waiting and I have now been in my role for 8 years, I allowed to update my EOI to reflect that or will I need to re-do another Skills assessment as well?

Hello, quite an informative video. Thanks for this. I am offshore applicant and have applied 189,190 and 491 visas since 8 months now. Current Score of 75 for 189 and 80 for 190 visa (scores sadly reduced by 10 points while in pool as I turned 40 in January this year, used to be 85 for 189 visa) . Can I expect something to convert in the near future else I may consider canada. Many Thanks for the advice in advance.

Victor it really depends upon you occupation for we have had a Medical Scientist granted their 189 visa at 70 points. As you know except for Tasmania with a limited intake of offshore 491 applicants, the rest of the states are closed to you for the 190 and 491 visa. That may change in the next 12 months however you should be applying to Canada too as a back up. Thanks for watching and supporting our channel.

But the nomination got refused because my sponsor didn’t submit some of the documents last minute when the case office opened my file. It was the 22 month. I applied for state nomination i.e. Northern Territory when i was single march 2020, i got married on April 2021 , and after that i got nomination form the state (june 2021) Is my spouse eligible to apply Visa by giving justification that why i had to get married I haven't shared or updated my marital status with Northern Territory or Australian embassy.

Hi My family and I moved to Australia in 2013. Stayed there for six amazing years. Me my son( now 13) and daughter ( 21) got our citizenship but unfortunately my husband couldn’t as he had lots of international travel on his job. In 2019 we came to our country of origin as i had to take care of my ailing parents and so did my partner (father had Parkinson) our plan was to get them settled at-least and move back again and then pendemic hit and rest is history. My husbands PR expires in 2023. Is there a possibility that he apply for citizenship on the basis that his wife and kids are already citizens. What are our best chances. Plz advise Regards
