Instructor Isaac Kawada, a direct descendant and protégé of Instructor Kevin Kawada, inherits a fighting lineage rooted in the teachings of Grandmaster Arthur Lee. Under the guidance of his inaugural mentor, Professor Lau Yu Cho, young Lee delved into the intricacies of Sil Lum Fut Gar, a renowned style within the Shaolin system. In 1957, he inherited the Gee Yung Chinese Physical Culture Association from the founder of the school, his Fut Gar master Professor Lum Dai Yong. Born in 1895, Lum Dai Yong was a Daoist priest raised and educated in the Shaolin monastery where his father taught and resided. He became an expert martial artist, skilled enough to be a personal bodyguard for the Chinese revolutionary Sun Yat Sen. In 1941, Professor Lum opened his own martial arts school, naming the Gee Yung ("Go forth: be courageous") Chinese Physical Culture Association, which taught the Fut Ga style exclusively.
