Avoidants prefer "Projects" over Partners 

Avoidants prefer projects over partners bc it makes them feel superior & in control. This caters to their low self-worth, low self-esteem, & insecurity. They feel more comfortable being with someone they do not respect. This soothes their abandonment wound, bc they anticipate abandonment. The loss of a project is easier to cope with versus the loss of a partner.
