I remember every time she wants to cooks this dish for the extended family, all the cousins will need to gather early in the morning to korek and tumbok the kernels! Habis masak takleh makan... mesti nantikan petang kemdian boleh makan aiyoh! It was hard to wait then as a kid haha!
Buah Keluak is relatively difficult to obtain in Singapore. But Iike it! Really a specialty dish, a treat for special occasions. Thank you for sharing, Aunty.
