As a nonnative English speaker this is so interesting to me. I’ve always wondered what makes a word in English suitable to become a name. None of these would be something that could be use as a name in Spanish unless your goal was a have your kid bullied for the rest of their life, but in English they sound like actual names. It’s fascinating! Anyway, looove Harvest, but I’m parcial to fall 🧡

I really dont think Link is similar to Rook at all, and i actually think they just go so well together! Both short, in the same family, but different first letters and sound.

Our baby boy’s name is Atlas :) I was scared people would think it’s weird, and some people probably do… but I’m so happy I went for it. Atlas comes from greek mythology, he is the titan that carries the star sky on his shoulders. I really wanted something associated with the universe/planets/moon/nature in general.

There’s nothing wrong with unique names that are a little out there or old fashioned. Our two littles are Mortimer and Basil (pronounced Baz-ill). We don’t share names until after they’re born because we know the names we like are unique.

My son is Augustine (August for short, and Gus for short short) and everyone gave us crap because he was due at the end of August 😂 but he came in September so it worked out!

My friend has a boy she named” fields” it suits him perfectly! Oh and my English professor at uni was “Otto” short for Octavio. I’m also loving Wolfe but I think wolfegang and Wolfe as a short name.

my middle name is mae and i was born in may. i think it is fine to name your kid the same as the month they were born in. anytime i tell people my middle name they always think it is super cool.

Currently pregnant with a boy and watched both of your baby name videos. I wanted to say that if Fielder didn’t feel right bc of the ‘er’ ending, or any other reason, a name I really like is Fielding. It’s a surname in England, which is why my partner isn’t a fan but I think it’s a lovely name. Also for the name Jasper I know somebody who has a son with that name and she nicknames him Jazzy, which I love and thinks really cute x

Lark is a name I feel you would like but also would be too similar to Rook. Also, that spelling of Wolfe is a german surname that stems from the name Wolfgang!

I have a Silas, which means “of the forest.” For Otter maybe you would like Otto or Ottilie, so it doesn’t end in “er.”

I know it’s not practical if you’re having a boy, but before you found out the gender, we’re there any girl names that stuck out to you? Ones that you took quick note of, just incase? My top names are : Boy - Oakley & Harvest Girl - Meadow, chanterelle, & Marigold (Goldie) We are currently 19 weeks 6 days pregnant with our baby girl💕 but I won’t lie, I was really looking forward to naming a boy. I’ve never loved a name like I have the name Oakley. Can’t get my husband on board with any of the girl names I like, so I’d love to hear more options! I’ve loved all the boy names you listed so far💓

Cove, Rook, Dacre, and Echo are our top four! I’ve always been so picky with names, but didn’t want something completely made up. I’ve finally found someone with similar taste :’)
