You would have to have a face-to-face with both parties present. Probably would be a good idea to record the meeting, just in case. I've known several people who have had trees removed from their properties, by crews hired by neighbors, without the landowner's consent.
@@Urbicide The fines for that can be huge! There is this hidden thing called "tree law". The youtuber rSlash reads off several stories from reddit on exactly this problem. People who fuck with their neighbor's trees end up getting their life turned upside down. It's crazy. Makes sense because some trees even if replanted will not grow back in their owner's lifetime, or not grow at all because the soil has changed. It's like a capital offense to any land owner. Houses can be rebuilt faster than walnut or maple trees can grow lol.
Got to love that when the landowner throws you a curve. Not like you can jump in the machine and head down the road to the next one. At least you can work there now
Outstanding! The old guys say that a good trackhoe/backhoe operator could scratch a guys back. Never tried that, just wasn’t that good. I did win $50 by picking up the prop line string with the trackhoe. Granted it had the articulated thumb. Still, it was good to take that fifty. It’s been over 20yrs ago. I remember singing to myself as well. This is great to watch. Got a story about almost doing an endo with an articulated front loader. That’s a story for another day.
Hi all! That Volvo is a caddy compared to the old Case 1088 that I operate. To have a.c./heat,windshield wiper and a seatbelt would be a slice of heaven! Great vids!
Man I'd kill to have jobs like that more often. I get tired of working around tight ass houses w 100 people an extension cords and bricks w n the way. However I'm thankful to be working man. Have a good one
Fire in all the trees, limbs and old lumber, Upturn the stumps into the road subgrade. Pull the fabric over, and pour the rock to it. It’ll stand up for hauling. That’s called puncheon up here. Thousands of kilometres of logging road built this way in BC. Happy 2019
Note to Tim,...you are not allowed to be human when you're out there in front of a RU-vid audience, LOL! Nice road work Chris,..I hope you'll show us more of this job.
lol i share some of the same frustration when that deck wouldnt cooperate, like when excavating asphalt back alleys trying to stack chunks and they keep want to slide off and not stay in the bucket.
You're so fluid with controls yet without total back story to this job I sensed more aggression in the movements. Love your work though. Very inspirational!
you/your workplace should get a Caterpillar 966K or mabe a Liebherr L514 loader you should use one for the high earth volume jobs like makeing ponds, here we just contour the shore and dig like a trench/contour around the dirt in the middle with a excavator like you mainly use, then use a loader for the remaining dirt, its more efficient especially for removeing topsoil on a huge surface 1 scoop is as much dirt moved as 10 -12 buckets of your big excavator and you can also grade the ground and
I saw another channel that had a bunch of your videos copied onto it. Carl Towe was the channel name, just letting you know someone out there is posting your stuff to.
They deck may have been put back to get a second life used to make a float dock on the pond, other wise they did a pile of work to get it back there just to dump it. I hope it was for reuse.
Usually in farm land the terraces have rocks in them they picked out of the field because the terrain was to steep to plow due to easing so they used the rock to help level the land.
Had a simple job for a woman. Half done and walked away. Husband wanted to pay me more to stay but I told him "I can't work for your wife". Never heard from them again. Wonder how he's doing.
Sir Chris !! Guess they DIDN"T have a contract between the Owner's ??? Lawyers LOVE this stuff in courts !!! Anyhows ,, Great work & ""KEEP IT SAFE ""!!!
Chris, you have a grapple for the TL12? Could you show us what it looks like? I do not remember seeing it, or seeing a video of you all using it? just curious thank you!
At about 12:00 - first time I’ve seen Chris get frustrated enough to swear (“dammit!”). Also not quite sure that old deck structure that was pissing him off needed that final smack down. Overall, he must be the coolest cat on the internet!. He’s so even tempered I think he might be related to Sheriff Andy Taylor.
I see your patience for reverse Lego isn't what it used to be comrade bigdeal... you made it a solid 30 seconds longer than I woulda before smashing the bucket down on it like that too. Keep up the good work comrade. DRINK MORE VODKAS!
Lol all the trees you drive by with those heavy machines compres the the dirt and suffocate the roots at least on one side heavy winds with rain can take them down
I live in the Detroit metro area where you have to pull a permit to pick your nose. How much grief do y'all get down there about permits, property lines and such? Is it something that you fight all the time or just once in awhile?
The homeowners are breaking even. After paying for the access road to haul away some timber. After logging company gets their cut. Pays them They pay you.
there is nothing worse than a settlement company that does not go over the requirements contained in the Deed. Sign, there, there and there, don't cut it. Telling the purchaser that they are bound to the requirements of the right of way that crosses the property is some handy information.
I've got great friends that's a sack of hell on the excavator. . I haven't seen any of them push 2 plastic prices of pipe together without damaging the pipe... # DAMN YOUR GOOD!!! CITY FOLKS JUST DON'T KNOW HOW DIFFICULT SOME OF THE THINGS YOU DO IS !!! GETTER DONE ;)
I push PVC together with my komatsu 220. Just gotta have the skill. That's the difference between a man that can run a trackhoe and a man that operates a trackhoe. Hell my 6 year old can run it but not operate it.
@@keithbrettell2058 Chris operates that Volvo just fine but it would make me a wee bit nervous if he showed up with that Volvo and a box of stents. ;^)
@Jason O Haha. Ok buddy. I get it now. 5 yrs. "In the seat" and you've got it covered...You don't understand why he would want to use a thumb instead of just doing it the hard way like Paw paw?...Its called production. And you'll understand it if you ever own a business of your own. Do you honestly think that the thousands of successful businesses have missed something and only use thumbs because they're not educated like you? Btw..How many subscribers do you have and how many commercials have a major equipment manufacturer asked you to make? Im not going to argue with you. The only thing that I can see that you're good at operating at this point is a keyboard. You definitely know how to lay those all caps in a ditch. Better than letsdig and me combined. Carry on and don't let envy get the best of you and try not to say a bunch of stuff that you're going to be embarrassed about one day when adulthood hits you.
Dude please do a video on how to get into the trade. I was a roller operator for 2 summers but I have had a heck of a time getting time on other equipment.
I was really surprised at this. First time to hear this kind of speech from him. I feel a little better because I sometimes think it. From the heart a man thinketh.
You look at what they pay the landowner, then go to Home Depot & price what they sell a tiny piece of poplar or shelving pine for. Wood prices, along with everything else it seems, are really starting to go up. With the US national debt somewhere around $23,000,000,000,000 , it's going to get a lot worse.
depending on how dense the wooded area is. 100 to 200 trees per acre, where a healthy forest has 40 to 60 trees per acre just depends on how big around the trees are. but most likely about 15 to 25 loads per acre maybe less, maybe more.
