I think the Tommen-Margaery relationship in the book is kinda sweet. There is nothing sexual at all about it, Margaery basically spoils Tommen with sweet treats and kittens. Ser Pounce, the kitten that Tommen had last episode was actually a gift from Margaery in the books.

First of his name refers to the king. King Tommen is the first king with that name.

Here are the dirty details about the love triangle between Baelish, Cat and Lysa. Baelish grew up on a dirt farm. The poorest of the poor. His dad got lucky and befriended Hoster (Catelyn’s dad) in war. Hoster agreed to foster Baelish.So Baelish got to grow up in Riverrun. Hoster was the Lord Paramount of the Riverlands. A very lovely and prosperous place in peacetime. Cat, Lysa and Baelish would run around in the forest, playing kissing games, telling secrets, and divulging dreams sitting by the rivers. Baelish always got along better with girls than boys. He was always small for his age. Cat saw Baelish as a kid. Friend zone. She was promised to Brandon Stark (Ned’s older bro, he was a wild wolf). Lysa had been in love with Baelish her whole life. Baelish only had eyes for Catelyn. Baelish believed in the songs and fairytales like Sansa. He thought he could challenge big and strong Brandon Stark and true love would win. True love did not win. Brandon sliced Baelish from neck to belly button and would have killed him if Catelyn didn’t plead for his life. Hoster was pissed. He banished Baelish from Riverrun. Well… once Baelish healed. He spent weeks on the brink of death recovering with milk of the poppy. One day Lysa came into his room. She gave him her maidenhead. Baelish was delirious and thought he banged Catelyn. He thought she truly loved him and this was her secret way of telling him. But nope, just Lysa and her titties. Later, Baelish got better and he banged Lysa sober. So in his mind he thinks he banged both sisters. Here is my tinfoil theory. I think Baelish is the father of Sweet Robin. Look at how Lysa loves him. She loves obsessively, exactly how she has always obsessively loved Petyr Baelish.

The hound is the only character who did not use the stark kids for his own good on a malicious or dishonorable way , from the start he told them that he is doing this for the money .

The twist that balish basically started the war of 5 kings is a crazy revaluation.

The Tyrell's (Margaery) are the richest house in the kingdom, they don't need money. What they need is powerful alliances, and Margaery has been brought up (like Sansa) to marry into high aristocracy for that purpose. Marrying a king secures her future.

It’s not just Margaery though, it’s the game of thrones, it’s a number of ppl desperate to win the throne. Marrying a king is her way to rule. She doesn’t have dragons lol.

The war between the Starks and the Lannisters all started on a lie, the Lannisters were actually innocent this time. Also, re Briennes armour being sapphire, Brienne is from Tarth, aka "The Sapphire Islands"

"Chaos is a ladder". Baelish's entire game is to be in charge and he was endeavoring to accomplish it one house at a time. He took charge of the Vale by getting Lysa to kill Jon Arryn. The realm is in chaos with all the infighting and he is sneakily manipulating everything so he gains more and more power.

Reminder: The Hound killed a child. Arya's friend. How forgiving would you be to the person who murdered your best friend?

Littlefinger started the war of the 5 kings in order to plunge the realms into chaos. Remember the conversation he has with Varys in the throne room. Varys argues that once you abandon the lie of the realm, you're left with a gaping pit of chaos. Littlefinger replies with his infamous line "Chaos isn't a pit... Chaos is a ladder". His plan the entire time, by having Jon Arynn murdered and giving the Starks the impression the Lannister's were responsible, was to create as much chaos within the realms as possible, and use the turmoil/backstabbing/deaths of key political figures, to make his own ascension through the ranks, which he's been doing very successfully. To put it simply, at this point in the story, Littlefinger has played the game of thrones on a literal different level to everyone else in the series.

She was married to a “traitor of the crown” so her and her family are seen as a threat unless they ally with the Lannisters and will never be safe with them in power unless she’s in a higher position than the bitch pulling all the strings. What better way to insure her protection, than for the new, kind KING to fall madly in love with her knowing Cersei loves her children and would have to go through Tommen to get to her??

LF also led Ned around by the nose, and made sure he found out about Cersei's kid's not being Robert's. That led to Ned's beheading, which left Cat without a husband. What he didn't forsee, is The Red Wedding, which is why Jeoffrey was also killed at his wedding.

Also guys.... fun fact. The boy that played Tommen, also played the young Lannister boy that Lord Karstark killed in the cell, during the hold. The directors liked him so much that they recasted him as Younger/Older Tommen. Lol

I think what Cercei was doing there in the conversation with Margery is what she needed or was told to do, probably at Tywin's instruction. I'm sure Tywin had already greenlighted Margery and Tommen. You could see Cercei almost eye roll before she spits out the part about Margery marrying Tommen. She hated it, but they NEED the Tyrells. This also could have been one of Cercei's rare moments of doing what is needed for her child. She knows Tommen would be fed to the wolves and needs someone cunning like Margery. Especially since Cercei has to marry Loras and is about to be shipped to High Garden. Margery is smart but her comments there were petty. It's always stupid to taunt Cercei.

"Chaos is a ladder" Think about where he started from a boy with nothing and now is the Lord of Harrenhall and about to be in charge of the Vail (since we know Robin and his mom will listen to anything he says). He's climbing that ladder rung by rung. While there may have been times things haven't gone as he initially planned, he's always ready to react and adjust his course.

Lysa just revealed that Baelish told her to poison Jon Arryn and also write that secret note to Catlyn which claimed the Lannisters did it. He knew that Ned would want justice and would leave the safety of Winterfell to go to King’s Landing. And remember it was Baelish’s dagger that was used to try to kill a comatose Bran and then he told Ned and Cat that it was Tyrion’s dagger. And now he marries Lysa, becoming de facto lord of the Vale and at the same time he is holding Sansa, eldest surviving Stark daughter who (according to Tywin) is the key to the North.

The Lannisters being broke is exactly why Margarey isn’t a good digger. She’s the daughter of the Lord Paramount to the Reach, and the Tyrells are the richest family in Westeros. She has the money, she likes to play the game, she does it well, she’s just limited by her station as a woman. If she were a man like Baelish, she’d have everything she wants, but she’s limited by who she’s able to marry. Sure she’s three husbands deep, but how many other Westerosi women with two ex-husbands would be considered suitable for the most powerful man in the country? The Lannisters need her just as much as she’s using them.

Balish is playing all sides so he can wind up on top at the end. He is now the lord of the vale. He is playing sansa to get power in the north. He is playing the lanisters to keep them on the table. He has no threat from the storm lands or dorne, the iron islands don't matter and his new wife is the eldest living daughter of the last lord of the riverlands

Baelish has only one goal and that’s power. Earlier in the show he said he only know one way, he’s not going to fight them, he’s going to F*** them.

If I remember, Littlefinger wanted Jon poisoned because Jon found out the truth about Joffrey’s birth. Petyr measures everything and every opportunity, and it was more advantageous for Jon to not spill the beans. It’s also implied that Petyr has been using his Master of Coin position to bankrupt the realm to cause enough chaos to climb the social ladder.

For whatever reason, while all the other kid characters got aged up by 2 years, Tommen got aged up by like... 8 years. He's 16 here in the show but 8 in the books. The next season will tell you all you need to know about why the writers aged him up so much.

“First of his name” just refers to exactly what it sounds like. It’s like todays Sr. Jr. III, etc. like if you and your dad have the exact name you’d be junior and he would be senior. In this time however it doesn’t refer to any low born or bastards. Also it doesn’t have to be the next generation. Like Aegon Targaryen “the conqueror” was first of his name and then his great great great grandson was Aegon Targaryen second of his name.

Especially when it comes to arranging marriages for the purpose of joining families together as mates would be matched up based purely on their family name + gender with no regard to age or mutual interests

@bustreacts 6:00 There's a few reasons why Tommen has to be king. 1. They're currently at war with Stannis, the Iron Islands are rebelling, and the North and Riverlands need to be controlled. They need a king to be legitimate. 2. They need MONEY to win the war and the Tyrells are only willing to support them if it gets them into the Royal line. Margery has to marry Tommen soon and as king or else they'll withhold their support. 3. The Lannisters are NOT the Royal Family. All legitimacy comes from the Baratheon name as Robert was the king. Yes, all of Cersei's children are pure Lannister born out of incest but they can't ADMIT that. So a Baratheon has to sit on the throne. 4. Tommen is old enough to be king and, since he's young and naive, Tywin can essentially run the kingdom from the background. This appears to be the best outcome because the Lannisters get all the perks of being royalty, Tywin gets all the perks of being king, and the Crown gets the support of the Tyrells which have the deepest pockets and the most food out of any other kingdom.

The Oberyn - Cersei scene is one of my fave aside from the chemistry is so delicious from both actors theres that Cersei’s honest emotions I know a lot of people only see Cersei as a type of Villain but theres honestly a lot of layer to her chacarter that only few people see. its not just black in white shes just one of the most well written caharacter even in the book also Lena Headey amazing nuances makes it even better in the show.

Jojene and Meera are good.people. They have no motive other then to help Bran fulfil his destiny and use his gifts. The Reeds father is Howland Reed, Ned Starks best friend. They were best friends before and a little bit after the birth of baby John. Howland Reed would be the only one besides Ned that would know who Jon’s Mother is. The Reeds do know a little magic. They live on a bogey island that changes location. Howland hung around “the Children of the Forest” who Bran and the audience will meet soon.

Jojen Reed is the son of Howlen Reed and him and Ned were very good friends. Jojen is dying so he is slightly losing his mind and slipping in and out of his abilities. They are going to see the three eyed raven, that’s who is waiting for them at the tree. They’ve mentioned going to see the three eyed raven many times before this point in the show.
