Nice job your step by step instructions were best so far of any YT for the bed cover and the one I’m going to be getting for my GMC. Thanks for this help.
This is a well-done video! I've watched a few others by folks who nearly know what they're doing, so I appreciate that you made this helpful video, and that you know your stuff.
I ran the drain hoses through the hole on the side of the bed. The put the weatherstripping on the cover along the rubber flap rather than on the bed of the truck. It’s spray lined, I figured it would stick better on flat surface.
I just installed mine. I used the secound ruber washer to put on the top side to work as a gasket between the bolt anr the bed cover. That ead the main difference i did when installing.
Just installed one on my 22 F150 following along with your video. Very much appreciated. I will note that I just put the drain hoses in the holes that are in the bed directly next to the drain spout. I’ll see how it holds up but not drilling or cutting into my bedlined plugs was preferred.
Thanks man, this is really detailed and informative. I initially thought I might not complete the installation by myself. After watching your video, I gained a little bit confidence. Also, I assume this cover will also fit 2023 F150.
@@forrestpanda Yes. Some of that will hang over the lip of the tailgate and the front of the bed by the window. This is the help prevent water from getting in.
@@DIYBRY Received it today and Unfortunately, the front left corner is fractured and falls off. A tight washer is missing as well. I file the return immediately and they claimed they will charge me 30% of the money for return. It would be a nice cover if it didn't have fractured parts. The installation is not difficult by one person.
The pop rods doesn’t fit in to the dedicated holder when the bed cover is fully open unless I push the bed all the way in. This leaves a gap of around an inch between the cover (when fully closed) and the tail gate leaving the bed exposed to elements. Wouldn’t be the issue if pop rods could be slid a little more towards the tail gate. Any thoughts? F150 Lariat 2022 6.5’ bed
You can loosen the bolt and slide the bracket up higher, then put the prop rods in place, then slide the bracket back down. It took me a little while to figure that out.
