Its probably a good thing we didnt know until Barragan's final moments that he basically hated Aizen's guts for being dethroned. It just shows that Aizen probably either bribed most of the arrancar or forced them to join just like Barragan. Most of the time you'd think he was just some bitter old man but now we see why. I imagine he probably waited for a chance to try and get his throne back but fat chance anyone but Ichigo could beat Aizen anyway. Sucks that he didnt survive in the end to get his kingdom back.

Aizen's Bankai isn't about the opponent looking at it. It's the moment he draws it. Even if the opponent didn't laid eyes on it as long as he mananged to draw it, its power takes effect.

Considering Baraggans power, Death itself, I can't not see how anyone could defeat him without enough time to figure out his power and how to use it against him like Hachi did. At this moment of time, none of them could of touched him, and he could easily of flooded the place with death and wiped them out. It is possible that Aizen did tremendous amounts of research into him before this confrontation somehow, even without having combat experience against him. But even if this were true, Baraggan would not know this and had no reason to not attack at that point. Is that why he held such a grudge against Aizen? Because he had the opportunity and missed it because of a moment of weakness?
