@@moxavenger I didn't usually remember there _were_ set trailers until the Spark hype - it's good. Someone pointed out New Phyrexia to me though and that one is awesome, less extensive than Spark but great. This one's a little meh. Could've done more to capture the Eldrazi corruption not just their Big Monsterness.

2 things might happen: 1. The Slivers will adapt to withstand and handle the colossal Eldrazi army, evolving some of them to become titanic size to compete with them. 2. New Phyrexia has the organized man power (because of the Praetors) and if they can, the Phyrexian Oil might infect the Eldrazi and turn them against one another, turning them into Phyrexians

+Christian Munso Phyrexian oil would turn to dust against Ulamog as would the slivers. While they might be able to take out the little guys Ulamog can just project more onto the plane, and even if they somehow took out the titan -who turns everything he touches to dust- he would just come back. If it was Emrakul, all living beings in her vicinity would turn into sludge. In short, it's really hard to kill something that isn't even on the plane.

+The Titan Of Corruption and emrakul would be able to slowly corrupt the phyrexians which would make them even less unified than they already are and kozileks effects on reality would cause they're scientists alot of problems

+broadwayat well perhaps the story is different this time around after the timelines were changed last block? and i think that is either that lithomancer lady, a random person, or a yet to be revealed hero in the expansion

+Kavewolf1989 Nothing changes despite the time travel in the last block. Ugin is still recovering from the fight with Nico Bolas during the first visit to zendikar (while in the previous timeline he was just dead) so nothing that happened there was altered despite Sharkan traveling back in time. Now that Ugin has recovered they are going back to Zendikar, hence why Sharkan is there in the first place

199022009 Nissa's in other parts of the trailer, fighting things. I imagine that shot's just a cinematic thing. That or nissa is still incapacitated and seperated from her mana at the point which they fight Ulamog... In which case, yeah, I guess Gideon could be going it alone. Which, honestly, just seems kind of stupid and suicidal given the amount of other planeswalkers confirmed to be on the plane that he knows of. If Gideon ends up fighting Ulamog alone, given how they've established the eldrazi's power, I can see it going no other way than him dying.

ImperialSunlight I know. I'm applauding just that one scene, not the others. I know for a fact that there are several other PWs in Zendikar, not just Gideon, but *GODDAMN* is that scene badass.

Krijn van Alten They started doing them with the New Phyrexia block (which, by the way, had some of the best trailers WotC has ever done, especially the trailer for the New Phyrexia set itself).

+DarkTider ALL the angels know about the Eldrazi explicitly, especially Iona, it is almost for sure Nissa.

+Keith Filibeck I'd say it may be Jori En, that merfolk who is (was?) important with solving the "leyline puzzle" (which resulted in Jace taking a lone trip to the Eye). That, or just some random Zendikari. Nissa (or any other walker) would have been written differently, what with the speculation on what these 'monsters' are and so on - Nissa knows.

its just Nissa, Jori En didn't even get a card. Nahari and Iona, as I said, know exactly what is going on.

Narrators in these trailers don't have to be from cards - see the New Phyrexia one. They don't need to be named characters (although yes, they mostly were). Also, Nissa pretty much knows what's going on, too. Remember, she was with Sorin when SHE released the Eldrazi. She wouldn't speculate whether the monsters are "not from here", she KNOWS it. Jori En still might get a card in Oath, by the way. It still wouldn't mean she's speaking here, but that makes far more sense than Nissa - whether JE gets a card or not.

Garruk's not really doing too well. He's not that likely to be doing much eldrazi fighting right now.

Chandra, though, could definitely pull a Han Solo in the second set.
